Just wondering if anyone has info on Jermain Taylor's next fight. I always enjo watching him fight. Many people on here try to say that Taylor has no chance at the title, but they never say why. I knew he had the tools to dominate the first time I saw him at the CenturyTel Center a few years ago.

I always like to watch B-Hop fight, don't get me wrong. But it's always against some average fighter like William Joppy. It's not his fault, I think it's just that the middleweight division is about as weak as the heavyweights. The only household names that he beat were Trinidad and De La Hoya and they weren't even true middleweights. He was beaten by Roy Jones Jr., a fighter who most people today recognize as the definition of "overrated". I wouldn't bring this up because he still has skills, but Hopkins and his people seem to believe that he is the greatest middleweight in history and that he has proven it. My opinion is that he came along at the right time, alot like VK in the HW division.

This is an honest thread. I wonder sometimes why people like boxers who have good technique but provide very boring fights and rarely even hurt the other fighter. Chris Byrd and Cory Spinks have mastered this art. I have always been of the opinion that a fight is won by the fighter who is able to hurt his opponent more than his opponent hurts him, but these guys don't. Why do some fans prefer boxers over boxer/punchers or slugger/punchers? Do they hurt the sport? Keep in mind that average sports fans who watch boxing care nothing for fighters scoring points by running and pepper-punching. They like to watch a FIGHT.

It has always been debated who was the greatest fighter of all time. What are your thoughts?

If these two should fight in the next few months, which is unlikely but possible, who do you think would win? From the fights that I have seen of Jermain, he seems very explosive and very patient. He also appears to be a tad bigger than Hopkins. I don't remember seeing Hopkins fight anyone as dangerous outside of Tito.
