If you don't care who is number 1 why did you reset the accounts?? I thought It's all for fun and your own objecvtives.
What did the cheaters do that was so bad??
I'm sure people would like to know....
sorry, thought I had responded to this. Just in case other players or potential players are wondering, what the "cheaters" did is set up 24 accounts, and use the starting capital of 23 of those accounts to fund their main account.
this capital was then used to out-bid other players in purse bids and for signing fighters. similiar things happened in the original game and caused players to leave when they were "cheated" out of signings. therefore this kind of thing isn't taken lightly.
the action in itself would not have moved the player up the promoter rankings - it would have just allowed him to have more money than he should have instead of earning it via shows like everyone else.
this is info for everyone else by they way. lightsout_finit already knows this as he is the one who did it.
by the way, the offer is still there. if you want to learn how to play the game without cheating and without having to spend real money, I'm happy to help.
It's never too late to sign up. Unlike the previous version it is difficult for any single player to sign all the best fighters, and with the new scouting system you could end up signing a future ATG without any competition.
Hello.
Just a note to any past, present or non eBoxingPromoters that the beta for an offline version of the game is now out.
You can download from Mega.
A link to the download is in the in-game forum (eboxingoffline subforum)
Feel free to get a copy. Note that its basically a stripped down version of the online game so is quite resource intensive and needs a fairly decent performance CPU to run it.
No proof so I'm not buying your statement. Especially on the original rooq game which started you off with limited funds and there was only a limited amount you could make, in terms of profit, by using those funds.
Pay to win and until proven otherwise I don't believe what you said previously.
ok. but thanks for a few thread bumps. it disappears off the front page after a couple of minutes so this helps me get more views, some of which whom will sign up for the game and spend £s thinking it will help them "win" :pat:
Okay...I stopped playing Rooq's because there was no app development for mobile...is this more of the same?
Also...people paying exhorbant amount of cash for the Tyson clones - but that didn't bother me too much, I had a decent stable. But is there some equity built into this game that killed Rooq's?
i tried to make this more mobile friendly, but its still not as easy as playing on desktop. i can do small tasks quite easily - its not quite as fiddly as the screens are responsive so collapse columns so they appear one after another on a mobile device, and grids also collapse and become expandable. but there are issues with scrolling which can be frustrating and i'm still trying to fix.
in terms of equality, i have tried to learn from what killed the old game and there are several things which should mean you dont have a "runaway" clique of promoters owning 90% of the best fighters:
1) No clones. every fighter is auto generated and with there being a fully simulated amateur world, most of the "world class" fighters will have had a few years amateur experience behind them. also means you have a more naturally evolving game
2) hidden stats. apart from the higher class fighters stats are hidden and require scouting. therefore you cant just search for 900+ power every day and put 1 million rq on a fighter to grab him. often you will be able to scout and sign a quality fighter without any rivals. this should keep the rooqflation down.
3) discerning fighters. not all fighters want to go to the highest bidding promoter. depending on their personality they might want to go for a local promoter in their own country, or they want a promoter with a proven track record of getting title shots, or they might want a promoter who constantly gets his fighters competitive matchups
Cool. Finally Greece will once again become the dominant force in world boxing!:boxing:
Four 19 year old Athenian debutants in my stable from super bantam to cruiser... what could possibly go wrong?
Keep a positive Eddie Hearnesque attitude, and the Greeks will dominate like it was 300bc
This sounds decent, will definitely check it out.
Is this multiplayer too? Forgive me of its been mentioned already; I skipped straight to the last page.
Yeah its online multiplayer.
There are some guides on in-game forum that should get you started.
Officially it restarts later tonight with first end of day processing at 9pm UK, but you can have a look and create your promotion etc first
I notice you didn't even try to challenge me calling you a f*cking liar...
Instead your talking about the definition of pay to win...
All the top promoters are the people who pumped money into the game in the first few days.
Despite your claims of the opposite you rat b*stard.
And if this game isn't pay to win why have you added so many monthly/yearly fees?? (in-game money)
If you don't care who is number 1 why did you reset the accounts?? I thought It's all for fun and your own objecvtives.
What did the cheaters do that was so bad??
I'm sure people would like to know....
No It's okay I have a great glitch I'm sittin on.
I'll use it when the time is right.
It's makes the compensation glitch look like nothing...
:)
Yes what a great arguement.
"I design games so that means i don't cheat"
Can't argue with that logic...
I don't believe you...
You son of a b*tch...
There is not much point trying to challenge anyone with such anger issues. Experience has shown that some people just will not be persuaded.
Therefore, I just don't get angry or worked up about this kind of thing. You have an opinion on the game which will not change whatever I say. On the other hand there are plenty of players enjoying it, so I will carry on working to improve, fix issues and try to make the game as enjoyable as possible.
So if you do need any advice on how to play successfully without purchasing, feel free to ask for tips in the forum or in this thread.
Or you can carry on abusing me. Doesn't really matter to me.
Cool, I like these - I'll check it out
Have you thought about just development of an iOS/Android app first and scrap web browser games altogether?
I'll keep the browser games but I have started learning how to do an offline desktop version of this game. Then if that goes OK, I'll be trying to convert to Android and Windows mobile.
I'd have to buy or borrow a mac to do an iOS version so that will come last.
Got an email notification about the relaunch and knew I had to bump this bad boy for my main man rooq
:boxing:
A new generation of boxing heads can enjoy eBoxingPromoter!!!
Thanks bro!
Thought this thread had been deleted for some reason.
New world launching on Friday 17th at around 7pm UK time.
Working on some fresh guides to help new players get the hang of it quicker
He's a liar and a d*ckhead!
Don't trust a word this f*cking c*ocksucker says!!
Eboxingpromoter is 100% pay to win
You constantly bleed massive amounts of game money......
It's actually comical...
This sh*theel revised his rules recently to say if you find a money glitch you have to report it lol!!!
His exact words were it's not in the "spirit of the game" lol!!
But pay to win is in the spirit of the game is it f*cker???
I'm guessing he was refering to the compensation glitch....
This part is an ABSOLUTE LIE!!!
Now I know for an absolut f*cking fact you are nothing more than a scammer...
And didn't you perma ban a couple of people for cash mining
last week??
And why do you play in your own game??
Are we to believe you don't cheat??
wow. i am sorry my game has made you so angry.
no one has been perma banned from the game. i just reset 2 peoples promotions and asked them not to cheat...one of whom came back and is playing again.
of course i play the game. how else am i supposed to know if its working and what needs to be improved. how are you to believe I don't cheat? I guess you have not met many game designers.
now if you can explain what you mean by "winning" that would be great. does "winning" mean being the number 1 promotion in the game? as far as i'm concerned you play for fun and your own objectives.
now, if you don't want to pay money and you havent yet worked out how to play without making huge losses there is a forum where you can ask advice. there are threads giving tips on staying in the black without buying in-game currency. i have even introduced the option of a free bail-out fund so inexperienced players can get themselves out of debt while they are still trying to work the game out.
so if you believe i am a "dickhead" for spending 2 hours a day for the last 3 years designing and supporting games to give a couple hundred boxing fans a fun game to play, and losing over £2000 doing so, then that is your right. I'm not going to lose any sleep over that.
I'd like to see the proof :)
you aint getting my paypal statements ;)
but, assuming we are talking about getting up the promoter rankings (which doesnt really mean anything really - the game can still be enjoyed just playing your own game, having your own targets and not worrying about the big boys), the way you get the most points is...
1) Making profits on shows
2) Putting on big PPV events and selling lots of PPV
spending money is not going to teach you how to do either.
having said that, if you are good at the game and spend money, you will probably do better than someone who is good at the game and doesnt spend money.
spending money and not having any idea about tactics etc will not help at all.
I remember playin rooq, this seems to have some update although the model is still heavily geared towards paying to do well rather than skill/tactics.
Also, why is the game starting date 2008?
really?...two of the top promoters in Rooq's paid 0 and 5 respectively, whereas some players who did spend quite a lot weren't even in the top 200!
paying money does not win fights or help you choose which fighter is going to turn out good or help you work out how to stage a sell out show whilst still turning out a profit.
admitedly, paying money does give you a better changce of signing the the highest class fighters available (and still not always the case as the fighter now looks at how well you are managing your other fighters before deciding whether to join), but that does not translate to being successful in the rankings unless you know how to manage the fighters successfully.
its starting in 2008 as there is an entire amateur world being simulated at the same time and it was taking too long to bring the date up to 2016/17. rather than delay releasing by a month I let it go as I had set a Christmas deadline for myself
This has been a truly dire card so far, and it seems like it won't get any better either
worst undercard to a UK PPV since audley - haye probably.
that one was so bad they didn't bother showing much of the undercard and instead had Johnny Nelson standing in front of a big screen trying to convince viewers that there was a way for audley to win.
Not sure we'll get the chance to see who beats him.
I doubted Fury most of his career - the infamous self-upper cut, the KDs against average opp, the dodgy points victory for the English title. However, I reckon he will be a tough opp for anyone.
The only fight I expect may happen is a big PPV against AJ which I see Fury winning at this point in time. Can't see windmiller beating him either. Ortiz is the best top technical fighter at that level but is getting on a bit - a couple of years ago I'd definitely have favoured him, but not so much now.
I'm in.
Can you fight other promoters boxers, the boxing scene members. If so please elaborate.............. Rockin':boxing:
Yep. Thats one of the main points of the game. There are a lot of AI controlled fighters, but as more players join there will be more player to player negotiation.
but couldn't you speed it up a bit more? who wants to wait so long, at least let the initial stages be much faster. might check it out
Not really. Remember this is a multplayer game and players need time to respond to offers from other players in different timezones etc.
Also this isnt a simple facebook style continuous game where you progress by logging on every five minutes...to get anywhere in this game you need to actually think about what you are doing finding the perfect opponent for your fighters etc.
awesome, btw is there a way of changing the offer mid way through a negotiation?
at the moment, I'm negotiating a fight for one of my boxers and I received a message telling me there has been a rival offer for my opponent so I'm wondering if I can increase my offer.
Go to the fight offer screen where I think you can click on the offer and amend. I think I coded this anyway..the game is so huge I cant remember exactly everything without looking at the code.
edit: oops - you cant amend a fight offer from here. what you can do is withdraw the offer and then go make a new offer via schedule fight. this would need to be done before the end of day processing starts to ensure you dont lose out
fair enough, makes sense.
btw ive send up and scheduled a show but i cant seem to schedule a fight for one of my guys. i get to the bottom of the page where i select the opponent but i cant seem to confirm my offer. any help?
So you select the oppponent and put in an amount at least what is expected by the oponent and press offer and then a message should appear saying what the total purse should be and asking you to confirm. Do you manage to get this far? And are you then trying to confirmand nothing is happening?
I've got to wait until the 12th of January to see if a fighter wants to accept my offer? It's a game not real life. :pat:
Can't schedule a show until February? Nobody is going to play this game when it takes so long to do anything. Crazy.
Umm. It doesnt run in real time. One game day lasts three hours. It will be 12th Jan in the game later tonight.
What is "sway" from judges descriptions? English is my third language so I dont know what it is, thanks in advance.
The higher the sway the more likely the judge is to be swayed by the home crowd or promoter. Basically pick a high sway if you think you need a robbery to win.
Sorry this is an old question but I hardly come on the scene and thought this thread died long ago.
Is this for free or does it cost actual dollars
its free to play if you are happy with working with 50k currency you start off with.
a fair few people were prepared to spend real money to start off with more (so they can sign more advanced fighters straight away) but this is not necessary at all.
there are plenty of decent fighters that can be signed within the starting budget to start your promotion off
Lol you gotta pay for more points?
Lame
Who is gonna do that?
We start off with too few points.
About 30 people...
But yeah, I personally would start off with the 50k which is enough to sign 3 extra fighters and build from there. Some have managed to sign 5 or 6 fighters from the 50k.
The idea is to make money from shows or from manager fees when you put your fighters on other shows so eventually you can sign more/better fighters.
no, every time I press the offer button, nothing happens, even when I put in the correct offer
Ok you might have revealed an error. What's your promoter name, I'll try sorting it when I get home. Also if you tell me the names of your fighter and who you are trying to fight. Cheers.
The schedule fight screen hssnt been problem for anyone else yet though, so could be specific to the show or fighter
