Fixed fights
Mayweather vs. Marquez fight fixed? I don't think so...BUT I have reason to believe that the Mayweather vs. Mosley fight was fixed.
Read on. First, Mayweather must not lose! His negotiating power against Pacquiao can translate into millions depends on his no lose record. He must protect that record...and he can afford to pay ( say 1 million ) to Mosley.
On the other hand Mosley is retirable. An extra bonus could mean big bucks for his retirement fund. He has nothing to lose, his image in boxing is already established. So he can afford to receive ( say 1 million ) from Mayweather.
And then the big fight that we all saw. Was that on the 2 nd or 3 rd rd that Mosley landed a power punch ( by accident ?). It was not on the script and it almost screwed the whole conspiracy! So Mosley slowed down..did'nt follow up for the usual KILL. And all the way until the last round he just went thru the motions of boxing....and lost.
So what do you think.
gotta go
It is true your body functions concentrate on boxing while in action. So they postpone their normal duties BUT what if you are hit just near your belly button and your colon squeeze out any residual brown **** ? This is very possible. Then what?
Verbal bashing against pacquiao
I still cannot figure out what these verbal insults and bashing by the Mayweathers against Pacquiao will do. Does it promote Mayweather's credibility? Do these all have anything to do with boxing? The way I look at it is that it's childish, idiotic and irresponsible. Moronic even.
Psychologists say that it is Mayweather's ploy to comouflage his fear of Pacquiao. Note that he is aggravated when media men ask him about his thoughts on Pacquiao. He stammers, avoid the subject and stutters as if he is on drugs. He becomes incoherent....all indications of insecurity and fear.
Top Rank's letter outlines ...
I think it is immaterial really whether which reasoning is LEGALLY binding. This is what happens if a woman and lawyers are involved. After the Donaire win over Montiel , Rachel got overexcited and probably was blinded by the prospect of fame and fortune ahead. Now it appears that they are attempting to steal Pacquiao's image. Big mistake.
Big mistake, big mistake. He cannot be another Pacquiao in the Philippines. First, he is a U.S. resident, with base in California. He will have to do his future training and exposure here in U.S. Slowly and surely he will alienate his Filipino fans. Second, if he is with Bob Arum he gets personal attention , just like Arum and Roach that they go to the Philippines every chance they get. BUT with GBP would you expect DelaHoya to make Donaire's promotions in Manila? I doubt.
They should have met and talked things over first...without lawyers and wife.
arum vs dlh
Why don't we give these two guys boxing gloves and test them for three rds? On second thought no because I am inclined to Arum but in a boxing match it is no contest.Looking back though, DLH attempted to shanghai Pacquiao, knowing full well that Pacquiao had a contract with Bob Arum. And when it did not work he got pissed off with Pacquiao and agreed to fight Pacquiao hoping to pulverize him. For "personal reasons" he termed of the fight. ( I have a DVD of his interview where he is seething mad at Pacquiao.) But it backfired. History. Maybe we will just let Don the King do the promotions?
Donaire may be suffering...
This is what happens if a woman enters the picture..much more a wife to be a business manager. She might be a smart girl but in this world of boxing and promotions she should leave it to the pros. Arum may not want Donaire in the Pacquiao undercard for a reason...I believe that Arum does not want that Donaire shall be overshadowed by Pacquiao or if Nonito performed too well that there would not anybody stealing each others popularity. Donaire could be developed separately, and with Arum's savvy that is highly possible. Arum knows the strings.
Now, what if Nonito stumbles (I hope not) and lose his next fight. Who will pick him up? There will be lots of second guessings, blaming each other, should have's, could have's and might be too late. And Nonito would just fade away.
PAQUIAO OBAMA meeting
To Pacquiao or more specifcally Cong. Manny Pacquiao,
On your meeting with the President of the United States of America be gracious as I am sure Pres. Obama will be gracious also. Just say " You're my idol." and he will probably say "No, no. You are my idol" Please do not start asking for aid to help your province. The Pres. will probably think "Here we go again."
Michelle might compliment Jinkee. "That's a very pretty dress. Who's your designer. Where did you get it. " Jinkee replys .. "From UK...UK"
gaga?
Floyd should stay away from cameras especially during the fight. If his pretty picture comes up over the overhead screen there will be a thunderous BBOOOOIINNNNGG and screams of FIGHT MANNY! FIGHT MANNY! FIGHT MANNY! that will shake the rafters . So it would be best for Floyd to stay home, watch re-runs of my favourite- THE THREE STOOGES.
Can Mosley beat Pacquiao? Anythin possible.
Of course Mosley is capable of beating Manny Pacquiao.
With bombs flying in the air for 12 rounds, anything is possible. Mosley has been fighting for 30 years more or less...from school yards, backyards, in the streets , in the bars etc. until he became a professional fighter.
Let's rewind to the fight between Mayweather and Mosley. We cannot gauge Mosley's capability or incapability to that fight. I FEEL very strongly that that fight was fixed. Fixed to let PBF win so he can up his bargaining power over Pacquiao. Understand that SSM will retire soon. He is not a hungry fighter that looks forward to his future in boxing. He can use an extra few hundred thousand over his guarranteed prize money before he retires.
On that fight w/Mayweather, I grade him 70% over 30% for PBF for 2 rds. Then PBF accidentally slammed his face on SSM,s bomb and staggered. Mosley himself was stunned, thinking perhaps that , that was not according to script. He did'nt follow up for the kill like any boxer who would want to win! Instead he slowed down. I grade him 30% against PBF 70% until the end. Go figure.
Rumor is it also that the Mayweather/Marquez was fixed.
Mayweathers continue verbal bashing...
I cannot understand the mentalities of these Mayweathers. Initially they started negotiations smoothly with Team Pacquiao. Of course, just like all negotiations they debated and argued all issues....from purse sharing, PPV sharing , weights, gloves, billing, promotions, venue, even who to get into the ring last. And when all was debated and done when their final signing of the contract was expected... AFTER A FEW DAYS Mr. Floyd Mayweather Jr. introduced the idea of olympic style blood testing before the fight. Another debate, another delay until Pacquiao agreed one month before. Then Mayweather demanded 14 days before. Another delay until Pacman agreed to 14 days. Then they said there were no negotiations and he was taking a vacation! Then back again he wants tests until fight time. What crap!
Now they resort to tweet-tweet-tweeting and verbal bashing. What is this for?
Donaire may be suffering...
This is what happens if a woman enters the picture..much more a wife to be a business manager. She might be a smart girl but in this world of boxing and promotions she should leave it to the pros. Arum may not want Donaire in the Pacquiao undercard for a reason...I believe that Arum does not want that Donaire shall be overshadowed by Pacquiao or if Nonito performed too well that there would not anybody stealing each others popularity. Donaire could be developed separately, and with Arum's savvy that is highly possible. Arum knows the strings.

Pacquiao/mosley promo
I hope they slow down on having these two guys meet especially during their tour. These guys, fighters they may be, are also the gentlemen types. Too much fraternization is bad for the fight. There is a tendency for being sorry for each other hence a dull boring encounter.
Example was the Clottey fight. I noticed Pac and Clottey were kidding, laughing and enjoying each other's company during the weigh in. How much more off-camera? And Clottey felt like he won the lotto with a guarranteed income of 2,000,000 dollars plus more later. Only because of Pacman.
Then we saw the outcome of the fight. Clottey did not want to hurt Pacman. He went home to Africa, with a few million and left boxing fans moaning and groaning.
So I hope they isolate SSM and Pac and irritate them, feed lies, rumors, insinuations, insults. The media can do all that. Then wait for fireworks.
Mayweather's Assault Case
Continuances for cases like this is practically standard practice. Lawyers love to extend the court hearings to future dates...in the meantime their time clocks ticks hundreds of dollars every short period of time. Floyd may secretly want the case settled ASAP so he can clear up whatever business he wants to do. In extending cases like these Floyd tend to lose millions because there's the lawfirm that will suck him of his savings. Usually the prosecuting attorneys also has something under the table...and it is not pocket change unless you call 5 mill pocket change.
And Floyd has two other cases involving the security guards and another involving the slander lawsuits from Team Pacquiao.
Mayweather's PED tests.
I am not sure if Morales' violation is true or not. But I wondered how come the rumor that Mayweather's PED tests on his three fights that were found positive by USDA was never pursued. Those were the fights against Ortiz, Cotto and Mosely ( I believe )
Larry Merchants assessment on Pac/Mweather
The discussions were all so smooth...negotiating...laying their cards on the table...arguing ... etc. After a week when all is said and done, Floyd balked and introduced this stupid blood testing.
You can give Mr. M;weather credit though. With all his antics, and craziness, and stupidity the boxing audience are anxious now for him to get in the ring and have his mouth shut. Of course they'll have to pay tickets or PPV to enjoy the sight. Smart, very smart.
Scared Mayweather
I'm 80 yrs old now...followed the sport of boxing from Joe Louis to Manny Pacquiao, Maybe not as intensely as some of you but I've never -ever witnessed a boxer that retired because of being scared! Others retired bloodied but unbowed. Many left because Father time just caught up with them. Until this event with FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR. I can picture a street dog that barked so furiously with froth in his mouth, only to turn around yapping with his tail tucked between his hind legs. Hard to believe....Manny Pacquiao scared Floyd Mayweather Jr. into retirement!
Mayorga on Pac
Mayorga's road also leads to Pacquiao. Everybody wants to have a piece of Pacquiao. Even those oversized , overweight guys are willing and even volunteering to shed off their extra poundage just to qualify and join Pacquiao in the ring. Then later after a Pac win, many Pac critics will claim unfair...make a big deal of weight drain, dehydration etc.
Yes everybody wants to fight Pacquiao except Mayweather.
Floyd M'weather, Arum Reunite.
I mentioned this many times in my other commentaries that Floyd don't want to hear anything anymore about Pacquiao and THE FIGHT. I noticed that he stammers and get tense, and mumble groping for answers to change the subject. Arum and all the other guests were aware of that. So to be gracious to him nobody mentioned Pacquiao...he might puke.
