Trainer Freddie Roach is not surprised with the recent attack by Floyd Mayweather Jr. Roach says it's no coincidence for Mayweather to resurface a few days before a scheduled fight involving Manny Pacquiao, who faces Shane Mosley on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather has been inactive since a twelve round decision win over Mosley in May 2010.

"The thing is this, Floyd Mayweather has never been scared of Manny Pacquiao at all. Never! At all! All he's doing is fighting my leftovers and he just keeps on saying that I'm scared. All I say every day is this, just take the test," Mayweather told fighthype.com.

Roach believes Mayweather is looking for attention because the boxing public, and the media, have been turned off by his antics, inactivity and constant trash talking.

"It's convenient for him because the only way he can be on the stage right now is to talk about a Manny Pacquiao fight, because of that nobody really cares about him and everybody has kind of forgot about him by now. He hasn't fought in over a year. He's out of the ratings now. He's not on the pound-for-pound list anymore. His career has gone in the toilet," Roach told BoxingScene.com.
