Margarito Ko's Judah somewhere in first three rounds. Judah is a good boxer, but Margarito is one step better. Being one step better is the difference between a good jab in the jaw or a body shot in the corner.
Crying is for babies. Fighters go out there and hit each other into tomorrow. Do you see them crying when they get hit? No! You're on national TV crying. What a crock of you know what. Remember, this is a reality TV show, not real life. If it was real life, none of these boxers would be sparing and practicing around each other. Crying because you miss your kids is something, but crying cause you lost is just being a pussy. I am not naive! It is up to them to get back up, but who wants to get up when the floor is wet full of tears. Boo hoo, boo hoo! What's worse is that they're crying in front of Sly. He looks at them and almost laughs, but keeps his composure. I would not cry in front Rambo, Rocky, Demolition Stallone. Sheesh. I think you need to join them in their tears. LMFAO!
Peter will be the dominant force. Why, you might all ask? Because his boxing is smarter than the "latin snake" Sergio has great fast jabs, but as you watched the fight between sergio and jesse. Once Jesse got a couple hard hits on sergio, he was stunned. Peter will take apart Sergio and remember all, Peter is fast. Peter has the experience in the ring no matter what the decisions have been in the past, his father being there or not, or how he barely beat some of the contender boxers. On any given day, any boxer can beat another boxer. Who thought Mike Tyson could be knocked out or beat?
Peter will need to take what he has learned, study the latin snake, and make sure when he gets the big punches connected, to not let sergio breath and drive him into the corner
My prediction
Peter Ko's Sergio in Round 5
The latin snake will get bit and injected with his own venom!!
Editing is what TV is best for. The best bet to actually be at the match in person to see if it a close fight ot not. Why do many of them cry like punks at the end? Can't some of them just be grown a$$ men and deal with the loss and try to make it in boxing somewhere else? I laugh everytime one of them punks cry in the locker room because they lost. Most of the time, it was them that talked all the trash before the match (I.e.Anthony vs. Jesse) It shows what a plaster wall they are? Once given the chance, any good boxer can punch through a plaster wall!
Boxing skills are not measured by just what you do in the ring, but what you do on the outside of the ring. If Holyfield jumped in the ring the day one of his family members died, do you think he would do well? I don't think so. If Holyfield got touched with healing to help him, let's not assume this hasn't helped him. His resume is not only boxing, but what he did with what boxing gave him.
I disagree with your predicted outcome if and when it happens. I do agree that rematches are always different. The loser gains much more than the winner and let me explain why. A winner knows what he did to win, but a loser knows what he must do to win. You learm more from a loss than a win. Many will probably disagree with this. Castillo will KO Coralles in 7. Coralles must work him hard in the first rounds to hurt Castillo. Castillo/Coralles III will bea deciding factor for each boxer on where and when the future will hold for their careers.
Well said slipx! The emotional mumbojumbo is for survivor and other reality shows. These are real contender boxers trying to make a stand for the first time, keep an already prized boxing career alive, or a last stand at boxing before retirement. Stallone is a great actor despite what you might say, but I agree, what relevance or motivation can he bring since he was a boxer in a MOVIE!!! Sugar Ray was a good decision, but they should've brought a famour trainer or another famous boxer along for the ride. Maybe one of the main reasons this show or the great champ is being cancelled is that it didn't do as well as people say in the ratings. There could be a million reasons, but from my biased opinion, I enjoyed the show because it is boxing. Whether they throw in a few emotional ties and trash talk, it is an experience no boxer will ever go through-training around their competition. Hopefully the finale will be a turning point in some producers mind to create another season or a whole other boxing reality show with a different name under it. Stay tuned...
I would love to see another season of this reality show, but it is up to the producers or producers of another kind to pick up the next season. To let a thing like Najah be a factor in not pursuing another season is just silly. Najah took his life for other reasons. I think there is another reality boxing show called "The Next Great Champ" or something like that. I wonder what will come of that. Anyone have some updated information? Also, if there was another season, do any of you think previous fighters will be back? It is a probability since they kept bringing fighters back during this season.
A rematch doesn't bring fans back into the seats as much unless it is a legend like Tyson. I don't think Tyson will fill the seats anymore now that he loses constantly. What brings fans into the seats is seeing an Apollo Creed giving an Rocky Balboa, analogically speaking a chance to get a look or touch of the belt. Many boxing fans have maybe strayed due to the refs calls. That is a whole other contraversy. A rematch between Corales and Castillo is a bad call. When you get best that bad, it is time to retrain and work yourself up to that level of your winning opponent. The crying needs to stop people! What happened to good fighting like Ali, Frazer, etc? Where are the poet boxers. Let's see the boxing commission set up more of those fights.
Ishe is a good fighter whether he has the crowd behind him or not. Why are so many people signing these contender fighters off after one loss. If a fighter lets one loss get to him to actually retire or give up, then boxing is the wrong profession for him or her. The fights are edited, but what has been cut out is not important. Do you actually want to see the dancing of the ring or the hitting?
Is that the way to do it, fight and quit and get 5 mil of the already 50 mil debt? I think there are other ways to go about it. Filing for bankruptcy isn't always the best answer. Damn that Don King!! It's like Iron Mike said "it takes me getting hurt to realize what has happened..."
McBride is absolutely awful.
I agree, he is tall, weighs a lot, can take punches, but it slow and use his weight to lean on fighters. He needs to cut down that weight and learn to catch the chicken (ref. Rocky II)
Tyson isnt dumb, irressponsible doesnt equal dumb, my father has a masters and is also a teacher, but i barely know him, because hes an irresponsible father, not a dumb person.
Tyson is dumb, irresponsibly and actually dumb. He was a great fighter and I will not take that away from him. He makes bad dumb decisions and he only learns from them the hard way just like his loses in fights. He lost to Holyfield and tried again with the same result-a loss. I see what you're getting at, but I will agree partially with you, he is irresponsible, but he is dumb as well. Doing things that are irresponsible is one thing and then being diagnosed with mental illness and depression (relating to the dumb comment) are also on the dinner table.
You have a good point, but Tyson is a great boxer. Take for example, Muhammud Ali, he fought for a long time and still beat young fighters. He was the best because of many things, but heart, confidence, and pure natural talent. Mike is known as one of the greats just like Ali. If prison didn't make him stonger and more determined, then what will? Did you actually see that fight? I stayed up in England until 4 in the morning on pay-per-view to see Lennox knock around Tyson until it was over. I think Tyson has good boxing left in him, but it is up to him. Like you said, he's not getting any younger.
Rocko out...
Hey thank you so much, thats what I try to do say it like it is. And I think this is the best way for it to end. Its over, god bless Tyson in whatever he does with the rest of his life.
Yea, God bless him as well. Iron Mike mentioned some fighters he would like to see make it big time, one of which is Samuel Peter. That guy is awesome and has some very similar characteristics of Tyson's fighting style. I have to do som more research, but I would like to know if you or anyone knows his current progress?
Good point! Although the general public isn't the concern or the main ticket money for fights, it does say a lot when people that don't watch or support boxing often will go once in a while when Iron Mike is fighting. Why, because he is a legend on and off the ring whether positive or negative.
Rocko out...
He lost, hes done, he knew it and thats why he quit. Mike Tyson is officially done as prizefighter. Did anyone see the press conference? Mike Tyson is one cool person, he said it like it was and is making no excuses. He quit in his corner because he knew he had nothing left to give and rather that pumbled he took bow and said bye. Go ahead make fun of him, call him a quitter and a loser. It doesn't matter anymore...it was it was but its now over. For all the haters out there Tyson would simply say fuck you!, for all the fans he would say don't be sad be happy and remember the good moments. All great careers come to end.
Peace Iron Mike Tyson
Well said truth. I was starting to wonder if anyone here had any intelligence. Iron Mike went out quitting(spelled it right this time...lol) which I don't like all the way, but the way you put it makes it seem like a little better of a decision now. He is done as a prizefighter and now will probably end up on some reality show to apy the debt or something like that, who knows. Instead of everyone hurling insults and looking at the bad, we should remember him for his prime and what excitement he brought to the ring. If he still brings excitement to a fight today when most people know it's been over for him since 1996, than that counts for something. The Tyson haters are just that haters. Haters of all great legacies because they wish they were a legacy themselves. They exploit the bad and the good is rarely talked about. It is like a being a police officer. You don't hear a lot about saving someone's life here and there, but the moment one of them messe up, its front page harassment and disgrace to the law enforcement. These are my opinions.
Rocko out...
He doesn't have the heart, my a$$! How do you go seven rounds and then quit. What is happening lately in the boxing? Tsyzu quits and now Tyson. Sheesh!
What? Lennox Lewis is an awesome fighter hands down. Do you rememeber what he did to Iron Mike? Those 73 inch length arms fo his can put a hurting on anyone. His jabs are fast too. Kinds reminds me of a Black British Sergio latin snake.
Rocko out...
Rocky, you ignorant prik! No one cares what you think since you make comments that could knock down an infant. Why don't you come out with some real lines that actually are intelligent. "Chumpness", is that a word in your dictionary of four words? Its time to go back to the drawing board and realize who you are talking about. Iron Mike may be old and may have done some things he regrets, but he is trying to clean up his life, pay off his IRS debt and make maybe the one and last comeback of his career. We all know if he does something drastic again against the rules, his boxing career is done. McBride is not prepared, whether he thinks he is or not, for Tyson's power no matter if it isn't his prime.
Rocko out...
He already filed bankruptcy. But when you run up 50 mil in debt you can't just go fill out a form and be done with it. The court order put him on a debt restructuring plan and he still owes 50 mil to the IRS and other debtors AFTER the millions that were forgiven through filing bankruptcy.
Maybe the dumbass should have just had some fiscal discipline and not been a retard. Give credit to Tyson for paying his debts? That's like me saying "hey, I'm an honorable guy though because look at me, I pay my bills and support my family". Gee I thought those were my responsibilities and obligations in the first place! Tyson gets no pity from me for correcting his many past errors.
Natural selection always finds a way to weed out those inferior among us. Tyson finally got his.
You actually said some words that mean something Pretender! Most of the time, garbage is coming out of your mouth, but you're right, Tyson should have taken care of these responsibilities many years ago, but a lot of those debts are from lawyer fees, etc and the notorious Don King. Tyson's a good fighter, but a dumb man. He is respected as a boxer, but looked down upon for his life outside the ring and sometimes within the ring.
"but quiting is quiting"
I cannot reply to someone who doesn't even know how to spell "quiTTing"...
Man, you sure know how to make a comeback! I knew you were gay, but this reply just tops that. It shows that you have nothing to say.
Italian Meatball, sounds like your a hater of the Iron Mike. Mike lost today, but anyday is a different day. He isn't in his prime, but this fight brought many people back into the seats to see him try it again. I would like to see why he quit, but quiting is quiting! Mike is great not only for hsi dynamic left hooks, poems of hurt for his opponents, public display of affliction, he is also great for trying to make new starts. All the nobodies in the world to include you make comments, but have never been in those shoes. There is a lot fo pressure and sometimes getting hit enough can make the pressure burst into mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, that's how a person becomes stronger. I think you need to go back to your parents and learn a little respect for those like Iron Mike that paved the way so you could have freedom to speak your dumbass posts/threads! Your turn...
You want me to say something? Ok. Look at your dumb fucking signature there? Bahahahaha..that's good stuff. You got any children? Cuz Mike's really gonna be hungry now!!! LOLLOLOLOL...Go ahead, call mommy.
Italian, I think you're looking at another quote because what you talk of has nothing to do with that quote. Again, your intelligence has reached to new lows and your comebacks are getting drier. Here's some water for you to moisten your puss with. You're a hater and you know it. You look to other like Mike to make yourself feel better because you have a senseless life worried about others mistakes. I wonder if you would talk like this to Tyson's face? I don't think so because haters don't have balls like that. They make comments in the alleys when no one is listening and then try to commerialize them on these threads in hopes that another hater will join their crew. How sad is that? It is a stupid move to try and talk shit about tyson in the way you do it. You're only going to get bad karma and a beat down of comments along the way.
