When Tyson fights that McNugget guy on Saturday, there are two types of fans and two results. The two types of fans are the die hards that think that Tyson can do no wrong, and is poised to take over the heavyweight division in 2006 and the haters that think he was always overrated and always sucked. The two results are he wins convincingly in the first two rounds, or he struggles a bit or dare I say, loses.
Will the "nut-huggers" still think that Iron Mike was the best ever if he loses?
Will the haters still think Tyson sucks even if he KOs McBride within a minute or so?
You know who you are.
He doesnt need to change my mind about anything, he will wipe Mcfuckface out within 3 rounds trust me.
And last time i said trust me Ricky hatton beat Kostya Tszyu in the round that i predicted so my word is something u wanna go by.

Mcbride is good enough to judge Tyson on, i wont be suprised if he wins in first round or gets beat. We need to see Tyson beat a top 10 heavyweight to make any judgement on his career.
Beating a stiff like McBride wont prove a thing. I am well aware of McBrides limitations as a fighter. My problem with Tyson from a pure boxing stand point is this, Tyson is 38, he has been knocked out 4 times, the last time by an undercard bum. A man (Williams) who then went on and fought Klichko (sic) and was never in the fight. Tyson's skills eroded long ago, he lives a bad life style. Everytime he has had a real test and had to fight through adversity he folded like a deckchair, he has no heart. For ANYONE to say he will dominate boxing in 2006 is rejecting reality. He is finished.
Mike Tyson losing to McBride would be the biggest disgrace to befall an ex champion since Leon Spinks was knocked out by John Carlo in his pro debut.
If Tyson struggles even a little with the completely inept McBride, he is worse off than Holyfield. If I had stayed with boxing and had been training these last three years, I would like my chances against McBride.
Good point! Although the general public isn't the concern or the main ticket money for fights, it does say a lot when people that don't watch or support boxing often will go once in a while when Iron Mike is fighting. Why, because he is a legend on and off the ring whether positive or negative.
Rocko out...
They have both been KO'd by some "straight up bums" :D
Tyson wasnt KTFO, McBride was KTFO by bums, Tyson quit on williams, he was clear headed, them punches wernt the reason he didnt get up.
Even if Tyson can't get too the head his body shots are pretty fierce.
Not when Mcbride is holding and smothering you not letting you get anything off, thats how you beat a big puncher. Ruiz does it all of the time as well did Hatton against Tszyu. Danny Williams also did it against Tyson and it worked.
All Mcbride has to do is HOLD ON literally.
I agee with spinxjinx that A decision would be good, but I dont think McBride can take Tysons punches for 10 RDs, Shit he might not be able to take one to the jaw, he has been KOed by some straight up bums, but i guess we will find out on saturday.

Valid point but Mcbride stands straight up and doesnt us a normal stance at times add that into the factor of him being able to lean and weigh down Tyson and a chance of him winning is a good one.
Noone should ever underestimate any of Tyson's opponents, as stated earlier. People get up for Tyson, look at Buster Douglas he was a fighter who never beat anyone of name before and after the Tyson fight and look at Danny Williams.
Mcbride will bring his A game but we all know it isnt good, well neither is Tyson. If Tyson doesnt get this guy out early and then there will be trouble.

If he can get inside he can reach it, look at salvareese(dont kno how to spell it) that guy was 6'6, Teh 1st punch Tyson threw went over the guys head but still knocked him down, then when he was on the inside he was able to conenct to the jaw. McBride will be no different.

Mcbride's chin is Grade A broken glass.
there is no dispute to that, but the question is can Tyson reach it? I dont think so.

....The line will be drawn hard and fast. The difference between the haters and the lovers of "Aluminum Mike" is that Tyson's haters tend to be more reasonable and stable people than the Tyson nutjobs. It takes a "special" kind of individual to still think Tyson can be the best in the division again. Ask a bunch of people with neither hate nor love for Tyson and they will tend to agree with the haters and steer clear away from the "special" Tyson fans and their views. IMO he could get killed in the ring and his fans will still believe that he will come back from the dead, knock out Vitali, become a caring and loving individual, and live happily ever after.
mcbride will be at his best ..fighters get up to fight tyson ...6'6 270 he is slow but so is viltali ..tyson will fight 2 mo giants then ko vitali if he can stay healthy

No way McBride will win. He is slow. Read that one more time. He...is...slow. Slow. SLOW. There is no adjective to add to slow that will express how slow he is.
Also, he is as hittable as he is slow.
Tyson KO 2.
You dont have to be fast to hold and hang on. Mcbride fights at an awkward position he keeps himself straight up and doesnt really come down low which I believe will give Mike problems. Mike doesnt work the body much and that is what he will have to do to Mcbride.

Mike Tyson probably can't do too much to change my mind by fighting McBride. I just know this tune too well. What Tyson has done is found a formula that is pretty low risk and profitable. I remember all too well when he was knocking out the Francios Botha, Orlin Norriss, Julius Francis, Lous Saverise, etc -type fighters and making big money but not really proving anything. Tyson is gearing up for one last tour that will lead to one last payday against a big name fighter despite all that has happened. McBride is just the first step in that.
That is what Tyson has done since losing to Buster Douglas, Tyson hasnt won anything significant in my god how many years? Tyson is exciting to watch and thats it, however he isnt to exciting when he steps into the ring with a top opponent is he?
Any fighter can look good against garbage, Roy Jones and Mike Tyson are prime examples of this.
hmm

Jinx, every Tyson fights is intriguing :)thats one thing that makes Mike the man. But are you sure you want to pick Mcbride? This guy is pathetic, he makes Danny Williams look like a top five contender. :D
Mcbride is 6'6 and Tyson at best is 5'10, my prediction for the fight is that Tyson will come out throwing bombs and Mcbride will hold and smother him (Ruiz style baby) and eventually will wear Mike out and I think Mike will just give in when he gets tired.
Personally I hope I am wrong, I want Mike to win. We need a damn good exciting heavyweight who is an enigma to the public. The heavyweight division is so dull and the champions are such sissies and never want a real challenge, we need a guy who can come and mow everybody over. That is what the heavyweight division is all about.
