Skill, will & heart, somebody said Cotto doesn't have it while having floyd in their avatar, maybe someone should inform that child that while Cotto has battled almost every elite welterweight & won, floyd hasn't fought any, nada, zip, zero,so there is no room to talk,at all!!If u don't like him thats fine, but he's done more for boxing than that pampered little cherrypicker!!:boxing:
This is all very true! Floyd still has the skills, but not like before. I would like to see him use those skills against true welterweights. He did beat DeLaHoya at 154lbs, but DeLaHoya stopped throwing punches, especially the jab. The prime DeLaHoya that fought Trinidad in 1999, would have beat Mayweather. By the way, Trinidad did win that fight!
Cotto has no chance, he lacks the skill the will & heart to even make a fight out of it.
Mosley maybe.
Williams isn't even ranked at WW and is fighting the MW champion, I think Mayweather would beat the human pipe cleaner anyway. Is Floyd expected to fight Pavlik now? Williams could have fought a way better fight with Hopkins and refused so he can take his avoided shit and sell it somewhere else.
Mosley or Cotto vs. Hatton or Marquez would have resulted in a guaranteed knockout, that's why I think Mayweather's wins over them were overrated.
Mayweather's skills were unbelieveable, but from the Marquez fight he didn't look the same. He looked heavy, heavy footed and got hit with a few bombs, that didn't hurt him.
Cotto and Mosley aren't the same either, but all will be close to their best if they fight each other.
Cotto has tremendous heart! Fighting Clottey with a big cut like that was crazy and fighting Margerito until he had no more shown alot of heart, but physically Margerito beat him down. He probably had plaster in his gloves though.
Like actually watched in person, or on PPV?
on PPV, in person, or on regular TV, not the movies though cause I know everyone will pick Rocky Balboa vs. Ivan Drago........
You thought those were good fights???
Damn..you are an amateur.
:thumbsdow
Biggest fights at the time...... The hype before the fights...... the actual fights weren't that good....... Tito vs DLH people were everywhere in the streets.........
tyson losing to douglas must've made 100,000 kids and adult boxing fans to tears (and i'm one of them) :(
When 'Iron' Mike Tyson lost to Kevin McBride, that was sad to watch, he just sat on the canvas. If I could read his thoughts he would have said, "Man, I don't have it anymore."
