TimothyQ your acting like people knew tyson holyfield was gonna involve some biting. People went into that fight thinking tyson would come through on hiw words and "bully" holyfield the second time around. Or at least knock him down once or twice.
Holyfield more or less dominated (and then knocked out) Tyson in the first fight. Popular consensus after the first fight (pre fight 2 hype) was that Tyson simply couldn't stand in there against someone that fought back. I'm not saying the fight was big because of the bite, I'm saying it was big because of the spectacle... not the actual fight that was expected to occur in the ring.
This is why Bowe/Holyfield 2 was bigger in my eyes... people weren't just expecting a spectacle, they were looking forward to a great fight... they ended up getting both.
Like actually watched in person, or on PPV?
on PPV, in person, or on regular TV, not the movies though cause I know everyone will pick Rocky Balboa vs. Ivan Drago........
You thought those were good fights???
Damn..you are an amateur.
:thumbsdow
Biggest fights at the time...... The hype before the fights...... the actual fights weren't that good....... Tito vs DLH people were everywhere in the streets.........

Bowe Vs. Holyfield 2
Shocked no one mentioned it yet!
The Tyson/Holyfield fights were big too but for different (less boxing related) reasons. The first one, people figured Holyfield was washed up and it was big for the Tyson circus... the second one was big but not because people thought it would be an epic fight. Bowe Vs. Holyfield 2 was huge because it was the best heavyweights getting back in the ring a year after they had and all time classic fight.
