The Official: Who will win, Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto.

I go back and forth on this one, foot speed of Manny will probably be too much for Cotto, he will circle and find Cotto squared up too much and that straight left will land as the fight wears on. Cotto is preparing Manny's "dissapearing act" <--a compliment to his amazing footwork), The last 24/7 last night shows him turning quite frequently, well balanced. I would figure this is so obvious he had to train for, as it's one of Manny's main assets, his ability to jump all over the place. Cotto's could land one right in mid-flight on send him flying. Manny has to stay on the move, while Cotto is in seek and destroy mode, using his ability to cut off the ring and force Manny into a slugfest, this is where Cotto can take advantage. I really don't think Manny's going to back Cotto up. Not his style to be a "come forward pressure" fighter. That's what mostly gives Cotto problems. Especially if his opponent is bigger. I used to have it 55/45 Cotto...but now i have it 60/40 Cotto...just an opinion, the fight can go either way.. Hell Manny could ko Cotto in the 1st or 2nd round...nobody, even they don't know what's going to happen. I got freakin' goose bumps in anticipation for this fight! I consider it definatly the fight of the decade. My 2 fav fighters. The tasmanian devil and the stalking beast. What a fight it's going to be. This place will be going nuts tomorrow...lol.

Cotto by KO in round 6 or 7 after knocking Pacquaio down at least twice in the first six rounds.

i hate to say it, but i see Cotto getting Pac with some ferocious body shots at some time in the middle of the fight. Cotto by TKO, or Pac by UD. Cotto can survive being hurt, but Pac might get broken.

Pacquiao by stoppage around the 8-9th round, Cotto will probably be really busted up by then and the ref will save him.

This is going to be a good fight. Both these guys bring it. Judging from the current vote tally, it looks like the forum as a whole agrees. I like both these guys, so my interest in who wins is purely academic. But I've picked Cotto from the beginning. I believe that he'll make his naturally bigger size count. That will make the difference, IMHO. Even if you believe Pacquiao will win, the Vegas odds (as of yesterday, at least) make betting on Cotto very tempting. The chances of this bout going to the cards are slim. I would be impressed if Manny pulls this one out. Nonetheless, I predict Miguel Cotto wins by late TKO.

Right after Cotto-Clottey I felt like Cotto was there for Manny to take, but as time has gone on my thinking has swung the other way. I think Cotto wins by TKO in the late rounds.
