Golovkin is flat out better than any version of Martinez. I swear, the "Prime Martinez was so good doe" myth is just retarded and is getting out of hand.
Quillin has no defense for right hooks, or left hooks, or jabs... He just has extremely leaky defense and keeps his chin out. Also, he is so damn predictable with his punches (right hook leads lol). Andy Lee has a crap chin and marks up easily, not to mention his crap defense as well. Fully motivated Golovkin (Geale, Macklin, Proksa) stops both in 2, messing around Golovkin (Stevens, Murray, Rosado) stops them in 6.
Basically he's what Chavez Jr. fails to even execute correctly. He drained himself down more than a play-pool in the Sahara.
Very good potential, MASSIVE power, crazy good chin, but lacked real discipline and made stupid choices in terms of training. The idiot basically trained himself and did his own hand wrapping for the Benn fight since his "trainer" was completely retarded.
Gerald's trainer for the Benn fight never owned up to anything in that video and that whole "steroids" rant by Benn was hilarious. "I didn't do no drugths...if you say exstacy I'll put my hand up."
Anyways, that was a crazy fight and despite Gerald's past actions, the end result is pretty terrible.
Don't worry guys, if Floyd wins best male fighter, then it's like Adrien Broner won too since he's the closest thing to Floyd. So when people vote for Floyd, it's really like they're voting for Broner.
Seriously though, ESPN is dumb and why is the most boring fighter to listen to (Andre Ward) even nominated? I'd be less dumbfounded if even Deontay Wilder was nominated.
Andre Berto, Andre Dirrel, Lucian Bute, Adrien Broner, David Price, Robert Helenius, Chad Dawson (to certain extents), Devon Alexander, and Lucas Matthysse just off the top of my head.
5-0 Gonzalez
Yaegashi's little flurries are barely landing and not better than Roman's work. Also, Yaegashi's left eye looks like it's gonna start closing.
NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE AT 112 BEATS ROMAN. WHAT WE JUST SAW WAS THE BEST ROMAN GONZALEZ TO DATE AND THERE'S NO ONE AT 112 THAT CAN LAST AGAINST HIM NOW!
On a serious not though, what the F is this guy wearing?

that was a great performance by Chocolatito, and Yaegahsi fought valiantly as always. But I like Estrada's chances in a rematch. He's not a 31 year old flyweight thats been through the wars Yaegashi's been in. He's also phisically much stronger than Yaegashi.
Estrada is a damn fine fighter and has ridiculous recovery abilities and determination, but he lost to a Gonzalez that didn't take the fight too seriously. Also, I disagree and believe that Yaegashi is actually physically stronger than Estrada despite the fact that Estrada comes in completely shredded. It would still be a super competitive fight, but I just think that if Roman comes in 100% like he did here, he can stop Estrada who really has looked vulnerable in all of his fights (Viloria, Melindo, Sanchez, Gonzalez 1, etc.).
Let's not count out Segura though against Estrada. I have a feeling that Estrada is going to have to pull out a super tough effort if he is going to keep his title.
Oh man, this made my day lol.
Golovkin stops him in 5 or less in surprisingly scary fashion. Macklin is way too open and his chin won't handle GGG's power for long.
I'd say that Rigondeaux is just too smart for Russell. Russell's lack of head movement and his come forward/athletic style would just play into Rigo's hands fairly easily. Until Russell shows that he can actually step up his game (against better opponents), then I can't see him winning.
Currently: Roy Jones, James Toney, Shane Mosley, David Tua, Enzo Macaranelli, Anthony Mundine, Jermaine Taylor, Cory Spinks, Fernando Montiel, Nobuo Nashiro, Ali Funeka, and Juan Carlos Gomez.
Trinidad struggled with De La Hoya and was beaten by old man Hopkins. Berto is the superior fighter and has every advantage and more over Tito.
Berto by brutal decapitation in 1 after taking Tito's heart with his shoulder rolls.
Marquez was probably just doing explosiveness training (judging by the training videos in the 24/7 episodes), basic cardio, and a "body builder esque" diet routine (mainly watching his intake and having certain meals at certain times each day). Overall, it was a more focused and strength oriented training regimen (unlike his autistic training camp for Mayweather :p) that was solely done to help him fill out at 147 and carry his speed/increase his explosiveness and power.
Also, it's pretty clear to me that he was on HGH with Heredia (as well as to anyone that has worked with body builders and has done research on cycling) due to his rounded shoulders/other muscles, increased jaw size, increased traps, etc. as well as the fact that his jaw decreased in size when he was shown ringside on HBO the other week. But it was still due to his skill that he stopped Pacquiao, the HGH just helped his power.
Alvarado is not really that good of a fighter, but he makes up for it with his strength, heart, and determination. Luckily for him, Garcia is also not that good of a fighter. I really don't see why people think that Garcia is a fighter that will go to war with you. He hasn't actually gone to war with anyone and he's just astoundingly limited (he only throws hooks and is stiff as hell). Also, his power is EXTREMELY overrated, he couldn't drop Kendall Holt (didn't even hurt him much either) and his only real knockouts are against glass jaw Khan and shot Morales. Quite possibly the absolute worst lineal title holder in boxing history.
That being said though, I'd give Garcia a 60-40 edge. As long as his chin holds up, he might just be able to outbox him or stop him late. If he gets in a war with Alvarado, I can see Mike stopping him.
