Neither GGG nor Kovalev need Ward for their career right now, Ward is the one who needs them. There is no other fighter close to Ward's weight who could bring him the publicity and attention than a fight with either of those two would. GGG would make more money from a Froch fight and Kovalev would make more from a Stevenson fight. Ward is basically a nobody in boxing right now and he is the one who is in great need and he is a distant B side to either GGG or Kovalev or any active top contender today for that matter.
Anyone that's been into boxing long enough to see Andre Ward fight knows that GGG would get a bump in status from fighting him. Not the other way around.
I do not personally believe that either Lemieux or GGG are PPV draws. If HBO does believe that and wants to take the chance, that is their decision. It will be PPV here in Canada no matter what as all major fights featuring a Canadian fighter tend to be PPV here, especially a French Canadian fighter. Makes no difference to me either way. If the fight happens here in Montreal chances are good that I will be watching it from a private loge in the Bell Center.
Why would I report you? I only report idiots who make racist or bigoted posts. Anyone else I will just dump on my ignore list if I think they are ignorant fools.
I will be right near you...in the nose bleeds...yelling my ass off with each vicious strike! This fight appeals to the caveman fan. The guy who loves watching old Tyson or Foreman knockouts just for the shear head-knocking of it:boxing:
I don't know about that. First off after the shaky legs in round 3, I'm sure Wilder was looking to have that match end sooner rather than later. Also, he was fighting at home, where a quicker knockout would've come off as more impressive and exciting to the hometown fans than a 9 round bout against Eric Molina. Seems to me like Wilder just had a little trouble with Molina
How is Golovkin ducking ward? He's made it very clear in the past he wants to unify the middleweight division. Ward wants Krusher anyway (a fight I would rather see). Let Golovkin unify, I love this fight. Let the slug fest begin
Hopefully be watching it from here. It's nice to have your own private toilet and fridge full of beer. :)
True! But, live is live and I'll be enjoyin it either way
agree but I think lamenchenko is too big and would ko rigo late
Caribe has already said Rigo won't move up. Which is a shame, I think Loma vs. Rigo would be a fantastic fight. Although Loma could meet him and go down and I bet Rigo might bite
