To say that the qualities that make a game dog has existed in every other dog forever is...well....the most far removed truth ever.
So yes, there are super atheltics, super pain threshold dogs, and super smart and some can fight well, not just dogs but in the hunt. Now find me one dog, that has all of those. Yes the REAL BULLDOG aka pitbull.
Now, crenshaw, garret, stp, norrod, hienzel, colby, carver, aycart, long, tudor....some of those men are dead....not from being eaten and have had hundreds of dogs....the others are well alive into old age, still have game dogs.
Now in recent years for money guys been crossing for size, color ect. Mixing breeds to get to their goals creating unpredictable dogs that look like what the media tells us pitbulls are.
If i showed you a picture of the most famous game dogs, by the PETA standard they would be labeled mixes.
As a matter of fact the REAL pitbull sucks as a guard dog because he is bred to be animal aggressive not human due to the nature of its job. A dog needed tobbe handled throughout its life by many different hands other wise the dog was almost useless to its owner. Some great dogs were sold many times, so an aggressive dog again was of no value.
I dont like pitbulls, and I dont think there is a place for them.
The positive qualities that pitbull owners praise..... have existed in every other dog, forever.
The negative qualities that pitbull owners forget..... is that they sometimes get killed and then eaten by their own dogs.
The positive qualities exist in every other dog, rendering pitbulls unnecessary, considering their faults..... and the negative qualities are unthinkable, and did not exist before pitbulls.
I have never heard of a dog killing, and then eating, its owner.
NEVER !
I have heard of a dog eating its owner, rather than starve.
Since first hearing that a pitbull killed/ate his owner years ago, everytime since then that I have heard of a dog killing its owner, that dog was a pitbull.
And no, we are definitely NOT talking about mistreated dogs here.
I have still to this day never heard of any other dog turning on its owner and killing them, and yet many pitbulls have done just that.
We dont have too many american pitbulls in my country, but I would never let one near my kids.
