Mandalay Bay CC Viewing I have tickets to the CCTV viewing for both MGM and Mandalay Bay. I'm torn on which one to use. The vibe at MGM is definitely going to be great. However, the arena setup at Mandalay Bay is supposed to be much better. Anybody experience either? I'd appreciate your opinion. Thanks. I've never been to the MGM CCTV, but i went to the Mandalay CCTV last May for mayweather/Cotto. Its pretty bad ass, large area layout, large crowd, felt like a football game type atmosphere. Price Ranges Thanks for the replies, anybody got an idea of Price ranges? price ranges are starting at $500 for the ****ty far back seats.. unless you got $1k-$5k laying around don't bother looking for decent tickets...

TS, you are going to be disappointed on May 5th. Those fights may have been the blueprint then. If Floyd has seen it already, he's digested it and put it into the memory banks for storage. You only get a one time application with those techniques with him and in the case of Oscar, Floyd took that jab away because of that overhand right. Make mistakes, you pay with Floyd. Floyd is going to be faster and quite possibly, stronger in the fight but most assuredly with nearly every physical and mental attribute in his favor. Based on your reasoning and views of this fight, how do you see it resulting ? Pretty obvious that you are a mayweather fan, understandable, he is quite possibly the best at what he does today. But it seems as tho you see mayweather coasting in this fight very easily (I may have missed a thread of your breakdown of this fight)..... Do you honestly think it will be that easy ? He's going up against a hall of fame bound boxer-puncher. (The best, most talented fighter thats closest to his prime on his resume in the past 4-5 years) i'm just curious as to how you break it down..... care to share ?

To beat Mayweather - Cotto must fight in a combination like he did vs. Judah and Mosley. Mayweather already has adjusted to the Castillo and DeLaHoya attack... Cotto will need to combine both seek and destroy along with intelligent situation boxing..... Keep may on his toes and switch south paw every now and then. Mayweather is really really good at defense but when your really really good at something, sometimes, you will lack in other things... Cotto will need to do his homework and identify those things....

You can pay around 80 bucks and get a Close Circuit viewing at the mandalay Bay or Mirrage... They will have projectors running large screens, food, and most importantly BEER...lol I will be there !!! (mandalay)

Not True, i am Mexican and he's (cotto) my favorite fighter, all my friends and family (Mexicans) love cotto's style and watch all his fights. We latino's love aggressive come forward fighters, we also support other latino fighters. With GGG, Mexicans love him because of his Mexican style fighting. Action packed and comes to fight. In the case of where cotto fights canelo, im rooting for Cotto because he's my favorite fighter and i've been following since his JWW days.

That fight is joke...Khan is not on that level.... i had Algeri winning at best a draw for Khan... in all seriousness... Floyd will KO Khan. Khan has no power and wont be able to out box him. Floyd will walk him down and break him down mentally. Khan was getting out worked and pushed around by Algeri. Khan doesnt have Ring Generalship or Mental Toughness to **** with Floyd. I'm definitely not paying for that fight or any of Floyd fights unless he fights GGG. Just not interested in that pure Boxing style fights. Give me Cotto vs Canelo. i'd pay for that.

He needs to hit Floyds shoulds and biceps. Don't be fooled that this doesn't work, todays' fighter don't know how to imploy that strategy. Sad. Castillo in his fight hit Floyd anywhere he could. A style like Floyds offers you his shoulder and biceps. Its like bodyshots, money in the bank. By round 10 he will be feeling sore. Old time boxers did this **** all the time. Rocky Marciano better known for this tactic. Floyd uses shoulders and elbows as his defense, interesting to see if he uses that tactic vs a known devestating body puncher....

What mean things can you say about Miguel. He doesn't drink his own piss, he doesn't have a jheri curl, he's not a tree. He's a dedicated family man to his wife and kids. How can you not respect that. Also, Floyd always says, I respect every man, but you have to make me respect your fight game True, i agree with that. So either Floyd respects his fight game or....he's having trouble standing up to his claim as the Biggest **** talker... Floyd has said that when it lights, camera, action, his show begins... and when it's his show he claims that he talks the most ****. When you claim something like that you cant slow down otherwise people will see it as weakness.... If you a **** talker, you keep talking, if you stop it will be protrayed differently...especially with Floyd....

Also although it is still very early in the 24/7 mayweather show.... does anyone else get the impression that Mayweather seems to have alot more respect for Cotto than any other fight as of recent... i'm sure he knows cotto is quiet and will not cave into the mind games but why not still try and mess with him. Last opponents : Ortiz - Lacked experience and paitence period Mosley - Lacked will and skill needed to beat Floyd, dude waited on da 1 hitter quitter all night long, never tried to setup anything... Marquez - Lacked skills needed to beat Floyd, Marquez's game is countering,you cant do that all day against Floyd or he will figure you out. Hatton - Lacked skill and experience, dude was undefeated in Europe, Europe and US not same level in Boxing. Cant go head first in boxing.... Finally Cotto - Does he have skills ? I say yes, A boxer-puncher with arguably the best left hook to the body in the game today....Good ring generalship, Works to break down fighters round by round Does he have paitence ? One of the most paitence fighters today... Works to break down fighters round by round... does not look for the Knock as game plan ..... Does he have the will ? Yes, will to beat Ricardo torres after being knock down early, will to beat Quintana when they said he had no shot, will to beat Clottey with a severe cut to the eye brow in the 1st rd, will to fight anybody put in front of him and never ducked anyone ! Does he have experience ? yes, last 16 fights have been championship fights against top competition...

Cotto vs Floyd Does anyone else really give Cotto a shot at beating Floyd ? (other than me) I acknowledge that Floyd is a Phenomenal athelete and possess a few advanages and one that is key, the speed advantage over Miguel. But something ive read and did a bit of research on something called timing... great timing negates speed.... Cotto used great timing against Zab and Mosley who both has faster fands. Pacman also had faster hands but he threw alot of punches aswell. I dont see floyd throwing that much punches. (Cotto was also drained) Not saying Floyd is the same as Zab or Mosley but the hand speed was suppossively a major factor in the fight coming in but Cotto was able to negate it thorughout most of fight with great timing with the jab and counter hooks. I can see Cotto using the jab in the first few rounds, then mayweather will adjust and shoot the overhand right, then I see cotto doing the same thing that Mosley did that hurt Floyd, set up the 2 punch combo... left jab then straight right.... Mosley nearly dropped Floyd in the 2nd round. This combo setup may force Floyd to hesitate on the counter to Cotto's jab simply because he does not want to get hit like that. If cotto can utilize the jab, then throw the straight right, then go back to the left hook body shot, I can see Floyd getting into some trouble.... Floyd is not known for being a strong puncher, aka heavy hands. I can also see Cotto walking through Floyds punches and walking him down like he did against Malignaggi.... Then again Floyd is not either of those guys, Floyd is smart and posses skills that pays the bills...I'm waiting impatiently here for this fight to start and see how my theories play out.... thoughts... (real thoughts, not any BS answers plz)

If Chavez fights Cotto, his "uprising" career will take step back... Chavez is not ready for Cotto, matter of fact, he will never be ready for Cotto.. Cotto is going to destroy this kid.. Chavez is a boxer with average power, does not have fast hands, and his defense is ok.. Just because he is bigger doesn't mean he will over power him, look what cotto did to foreman, and mayorga, he negated their "advantage" which was their size. Cotto did the same to mosley, people said mosley was too fast, and too strong. People need to remember that Cotto lost a total of 2 fights. once against margarito, which the jury is still out on the hand wraps, and manny pacquiao. Against manny Cotto made the mistake of not hiring a real trainer for that fight, if he had his uncle or manny stewart the result would have been different.. instead cotto went with nutrionist as his trainer !! nutrionist ! really !!!....if you remember cotto did well in the first 2 rounds, when he boxed manny. it wasn't until the 3-4 rounds where he dropped the game plan and started to bang with manny. Chavez needs to go fight somebody else and build some more experience. if he chooses cotto, he will be exposed just like berto and will lose out on alot of money...

I agree, dude (Roger M) is classless. Never really gives a great explanation or analysis, just says the same sh*t all the time. Floyd's guna whoop his ass, Floyd is guna beat his ass...yadda yadda yadda... Impossible to have a serious, REAL conversation with the dude... now lets be real Floyd is masterful in the ring and knows boxing inside and out. Dued is great. But for this fight, he's going up against a guy who's a boxer puncher that more importantly has GREAT TIMING !... Speed beats alot of things but Great Timing can negate the speed advantage... I beleive this will be Floyd's biggest fight up to date, and IMO i see cotto applying smart pressure and using his highly underated timed jab. Cotto by Decision or late stoppage....
