Peterson rematch would stink... Khan probably wins this time easily.
Brook is Porters Mandatory, so think again if you think Khan will jump in front in the Que.
Broner v Khan is the best fight out there for both fighters. If Khan can't beat Broner easily then he never deserves a shot at Money.
I'd like to see Pacquiao v Mayweather, if that fight doesn't come off Garcia v Mayweather unification match-up, Danny is the most deserving fighter.
Khan v Broner winner v Maidana (IF Mayweather wins) then Khan will have earnt a shot..........:boxing:
I'm afraid to say the logistics of boxing, this fight is cancelled for minimum next year now. You cant simply move the fight back 2 - 4 weeks as there will be venue booking clashes. Sky is putting Froch v Groves on sky box office in November, which would be too close to put on either October or December, so 2014 is a definite. Sky has never double booked within 3-4 months of another ppv (bar these events of course). Seeing as this is a British fight no sky box means no fight for near future. If i Was Fury I would find a fight before end of October and stay active.
I see it this way..
Deontay Wilder won the fight
Tyson Fury won the boxing contest.
This was a boxing contest with 12 rounds and Tyson clearly won more rounds and more points. He should be the champion.
However if that was any other referee the fight would of been straight waved off and we'd not be having this debate. More referees need to be at this standard of refereeing. He let the fight flow and didn't try to be a 3rd man in there. Too many referees try to be apart of the fight.
I agree quality over quantity.
But frampton/quigg are world class. Rigonduex clearly the boss of the super bantams tho.
Crolla wont keep his belt long, once he gets a class mandatory or top 3 voluntary and not poor opposition like kevin mitchell. Same goes for kell brook.
Degale he will beat bute by knockout i think. Again depends who he fights. If he fights abaharam would be smart. Froch or ward would finish his run tho.
To be fair to the weaker "champions", they're no worse than a lot of champions from other countries. It's nice for them to win it and fair play to them but it's not exactly proof of being the best in the division, or even one of the best at times.
Anyway, Fury will hold the majority of the heavyweight belts on saturday night, beating the recognised best the division. That's what it's all about.
Haha im inclined to agree with you. I got that funny feeling too based on furys agression and positivity. Mans nuts but wlad is genuinely concerned by who and how good the man hes gonna be standing opposite saturday.
By the way antony crolla is a top bloke. Im glad hes world champ. Even if he does make 2-3 weak defenses that guy deserves to set his young family up for life.
Lol.. wlad won no more than 3-4 rounds.
Lennox prime would beat fury. In my opinion and im not a lewis fan, i am fan of fury (although) not of his views. Tho as same to all of you i respect your varied opinions on this day. I bid you happy Thursday
Your paying for bt sport. Because it's a seperate business. Nothing to do with sky. Hence the 100's of millions of pounds premier league football clubs get paid for tv rights on UK and the fact bt stole all the champions league football from sky and itv. Pretty much any one under 50 knows the deal with sky packages and which services are addons. Only people who can't be bothered to read the terms and conditions of theor contracts before they purchase evidently.
So I dont understand. Bt sport is free to virgin media and bt internet customers so it's a great deal for them.
Eddie Hearn may be number 1 according to you. He's a fruad living off his dads money. Barry hearn has brought poker, bowling, racing, darts, fishing, boxing prize fighter way before eddie reared his ugly head.
The reason Eddie Hearn does well is because of his fathers relationship with sky. Its allowed him to monopolise the uk boxing market with sky. Also the British public are stupid enough to pay ppv for Antony Joshua fights 4-5 fights ago, some of his cards on sky box office are a disgrace. The majority of British fight fans are casuals. Most believe the hype they get fed.
Carl froch, haye etc only sided with hearn to get paid via sky ppv.
Fawking cashnelo lmfao
The dirty ginger is going to bank!
Floydie is already jealous talking about fight that taliban tabibi or whatever his name is lmfao
Sure Floyd is soo jealous..
Canelo having to fight 11 times to make what Floyd made in about 4-5.
looked like a draw to me. Precision vs Volume, there were A LOT of rounds which you can score for Guerrero.
ridiculous learn how to score fights. Volume counts for **** when they land on the shoulder or arms or fresh air.. 9-3 Mayweather, Robert maybe won 7, 9, 12 at best....
These golden-boy idiots are clowns.... Round 7, Peterson was winning close round and Amir got deducted a point....
....... Hence why George Hill's scorecard has lines through round 7 and edited them, because human error he put the 10-8 in wrong boxes, how could Amir have won a round he got deducted in 10-8, thats why other two judges got 10-8 to Peterson in round 7.
Fact is they not happy their new golden child didn't win, only way to shut schafer and Oscar up is too leave their boy out cold. ala Danny Jacobs...:bottle:
I don't think WBA can sanction a rematch unless IBF agree, so Peterson can defend IBF before his WBA if he wants, thats my assumption though.
That steve cunningham fight feels like so long ago. Oh wait it was long ago, 3 years to this month... 3 years ago a certain Antony Joshua made his in ring debut and look how far he has come on. So stop using old facts it just makes you look foolish.
Funny Joshua thinks he'd walk through Fury, dumb cause for a 6'9 guy with a monster reach and good head movement, plus good footwork for a huge guy and ability to switch stances.
Martin had zero footwork, zero head movement and most importantly didn't even commit to throwing punches. What does Joshua do when fury is pushing loaded jabs into his face from a huge distance, whilst constantly moving his head and feet. plus joshua carrying all that muscle I doubt would do well after 6-7 rounds of fury leaning, holding and jabbing at him. boring maybe but effective and aj could end up blowing his tank and being vulnerable of being stopped. his best chance is getting fury out of there very early.
richardT stop making a fuss about this chin issue. Cameltoe has told you several times. equilibrium is irrelevent.
Having a bad chin, means youre more suspetable to a knock down or knock out.
e.g amir khan/ david price/ wladmir have bad chins.
margarito, vitali, froch, kessler have granite chins
although some have better equilibriums than others, khan always does chicken dances whereas marquez, wlad get back up several times during a fight if needed.
btw david price has been noted as a weak chin from amateur days when he was sparked in headgear lol. excuse my grammar im knackered
Still ducked Pacquiao though.. the truth is the truth and the truth hurts.
Your a meathead, go to ******** boxing forums you loser. Don't you get it, Arum blocked the fight. Pac and May are also fault for going elsewhere to do the fight. Fact is gmc is telling you the facts, its not a massive fight currently.
That being said with Mayweather nursing a bad right hand that adds around 3 months to his September date, which is December. Only thing is Pacman chose to take a long layoff so I doubt he'd want to return to such a high caliber opponent.
khan is a future hall of famer that will beat mayweather if he ever mans up and fights khan. Khan has been calling him out for years now
OH please I'm from UK, I watched all the call outs, he basically said when I beat Peterson Ill fight Mayweather, Mayweather watched on, but Lamont won the fight, then he did it again before Garcia fight with more effort, but he took his eyes off danny boy and got KTFO:peeright:
Sorry to spam with hate on this thread, congratz to Rigondeaux, he boxed amazingly and ended all the hype. Looks like he's the real deal..
70% of posters in this community are complete twats....
Do you not understand the facts, I'm a simple man and I'll even dumb it down for you idiots.
Tyson Fury v Derek Chisora was the scheduled main event....Chisora pulled out from the fight, citing a hand injury....
Fury then opted to fight a very game late opponent to keep the boxing fans happy and save the attending fans having waste of flights, accommodation etc. Obviously he wanted to get payed and get his rounds in, also he has financial gains to make of course.
But the fight doesn't have the same stigma attached to it, if you base your whole training camp around one opponent and have abit of needle (bad blood) involved there can be a lot of emotions involved too.
Nobody apart from Tyson can know what his feelings are towards his Uncle. So it's purely speculative too suggest its legit or false concern for his well-being, with the deflating situation of losing your main rival and opponent from your big fight. I suggest Tyson isn't really that tied emotionally into the new fight with Ustinov. Therefore making it an easy call to cancel the fight due to the circumstances.
I don't condone the inappropriate and childish behavior from Tyson Fury, but until we know what condition his uncle Hughie is in, we cannot pass judgement, about his decision to withdraw, if Chisora was still his opponent the fight may still go ahead due to the magnitude of the fight, but again this scenario could be identical if his uncle is in a life threatening situation. :****you:
Fury and Joshua are not the same size, Fury is taller by at least a couple of inches. He's also a better conditioned fighter than Joshua. He's a proven 12 rounder, Joshua was blowing out of his arse after a few rounds against Whyte.
lol, like Joshua is some master boxer who can effortlessly cut off the ring. If Wladimir Klitschko, who has far superior footwork to Joshua, couldn't corner Fury, how will Joshua? Fury isn't some flat footed plodder like Martin or Whyte. As for Fury not KOing him, since Wlad adopted his safety first strategy, he's barely lost a round in 12 years, he's very, very difficult to hit clean.
By boxing his ears off.
Fury isn't going to retire lol. He's making millions of pounds. He's coming out with this stuff to make headlines and to sell the fight.
Easy work for him with mugs like yourself.
No he didnt nail it right on the head.... this guy did with his breakdown comments. Dillian Whyte was a nobody before sky hyped him up, sprott/ johnson/ skelton are ready for the retirement castle of boxing. And charles martin is rated by many experts as one of the worst ever champions and he won by pure fluke (injury).
Joshua has steamrolled complete cans so far, you morons are acting like he's demolished haye, povetkin, ortiz, pulev, wilder. Joshua stole a free belt of a **** paper champion. Really that strap should be on the line during fury v klitschko. A.J may well be the real thing but he's still a prospect for me currently
It better be klitschko next... this was a crap co main event. Molina is pathetic and a carbon copy of fellow cans Martin, breazeale. Even Price would of at least given us a look at how AJ would approach fights with Fury/Wladimir.
I knew the Whyte v chisora undercard would be rubbish. **** you Eddie Hearn glad I didn't pay for this.
Sorry chaps. You all buy into what the media and paid ex boxers on skysports say. Before the name dillian whyte was namedropped hardly anyone knew who he was, calibre of his oppenents etc.
I think it was a great learning fight and it clearly shows Joshua should be nowhere near the world title level. He got rocked by a prospect. He fact he was under 35 years of age for a change was a bonus, but hes only ever done 4 rounds max in low level boxing.
People can follow this guy and support him, but joshua in my eyes on at least 18months-2 years away from being a world champion contender.
My promoters head would have his next four steps like this
1. Chisora/ perez or helenius
2. Chaguev/ arreola or stiverne
3. Povetkin, pulev, or super uk fight v david haye
4. World title fight if its still fury/wilder/wlad (if regains)
I predicted 11th tko to Spence Jr. I hoped Brook would win but Ive followed his whole career and the Carson Jones 2 fights showed Brooks career plan. A strong technical boxer in first 5-6 rounds. Then he fully fades by the 8th round and becomes a sitting duck and always looks gassed. Wouldn't be suprised if all od sudden he wants Khan. (who I know Khan will win that fight easily on points or late stoppage)
Funny you get some good fans, then haters.
Same people who say Mike Tyson etc was one the very best. Not every boxing world champion is a saint.
Floyd mayweather( domestic), oscar de la hoya(drug problems), tyson (convicted of rape), manny pacquiao (homophobic/offensive views), ricky hatton (drug problem), even anderson silva mma superstar (performance enhancing drugs)
There's so many to list, my point is Tyson obviously has mental health issues. But he did dethrone the most dominant champion of this 2000s era. Whether it was a snooze fest is irrelevant. Give the man his due. He's been a fool and acted unprofessionally, but his team and management arent exactly fantastic. Sharing the belts will mean cans like arreola, martin, briggs are always around the titles. I was hoping for klitschko v aj v wilder v fury combos (ortiz, haye etc) filling the gaps
No it's not. That's how Martin got the belt not Joshua.
I think he means Joshua won the belt via an awful Glazkov v Martin vacant fight. Which Martin won due to a bums knee blowing out.
Joshua v Martin was farce as the belt should at that point still been Furys belt. Who knows if Ibf woulda ordered Fury V Joshua. Fury may not have had his break down and stayed healthy for that fight
Btw I'm aware Glazkov /Martin would of in reality been the next mandatories so it's more hypothetical
Man this looked like a UFC fight with Mayweather clinching all day. He win well and the scores were good but if you want to see a boxing lesson go and see rigondeaux vs donaire, pure speed and footwork with no too many clinching needed by RIgondeaux and fighting a more faster and stronger fighter.
Mayweather looked sharp and fast no doubt but I would prefer seeing him again a better fighter, I even thing Canelo or Lara are faster, smarter and stronger than Guerrero or any other 147 lb
you say that but Donaire is mainly an outside counter puncher too. He had to walk onto Rigondeaux punches. Guerrero is an inside brawler, he wasn't allowed to hit Mayweather.
If you want a 'boxing lesson'...... Floyd Mayweather v Juan Manuel Marquez 2009... Again similar counter punching styles, better boxer.
Ironically that KO might be insignificant considering the fact that he was KO'd twice earlier in his career in similar fashions and a younger healthier age! PAC was old so it don't count. Plus PAC was roiding since child birth
A KO you mean that was 13 years before Marquez 4? Pacquiao going into this fight was steamrolling the division, Bradley win prior was one of the biggest robberies ever.
Which was 33 fights before and 7 weight categories lighter is ilrelevent and won't discredit one of boxings greatest knockouts and comebacks.... not
I simply said if lacedup read it correctly.. joshua doesnt bring ALL.... the money. The facts you've just mentioned deathclown are true, but wladamir sells the fight massively too cause he's a huge legendary name. As per the non deserving ppv status of joshua v martin/breazealle/whyte it proves joshua is a big draw in uk, but wont draw huge in usa yet with the calibre of opposition currently fought.
Back to guys saying I'm on loopy juice.. groves v Froch made huge numbers and that was a world class/ multi world champion with an incredible record v a domestic/fringe world contender with only one credible/split decision win over Degale. The build up sold that fight. Check the figures. Froch at that time with the lay uk boxing fans was not given his deserved status and popularity either. So imagine what a trash talking bellew and a big name like haye can generate. Youd be suprised at the numbers. After all these same idiots payed for haye v harrison, Khan v salita and the recent Joshua fights.
Besides reason Joshua draws so well ppv is no coinsidence either. Simple fact is Eddie Hearn is smart and works the stupid English public over. Joshua v Breazeale had groves v murray, chris eubank jr, connor Benn, ogogo, whyte on the card. Other times same combination of fighters + Macklin, selby and other well known uk fighters are regularly on the cards usually with overmatched opponents.
