Interesting times for the Channel 5 folks...
....they've got a guy who is possibly just a couple of fights away from the Heavyweight Championship, he's unbeaten, outspoken and even slightly eccentric and always exciting.
They also happen to have De Gale, Eubank Jr and Tyson's cousin on the payroll as well, and are also the only free-to-air UK channel showing boxing.
But Fury and Hennessey will now want some serious money as they close-in on a mega-fight with the K brothers. Just being on TV and getting £60,000 quid per-fight won't be enough.
Do Channel 5 dig deep and continue to back the Fury rollercoaster...or do they step back and let someone else, who does pay-per-view or subscriptions take the fights?
How do you know they get £60,000 per fight?
This tit-head chambers is obviously strapped for cash, all of a sudden he's calling out anyone with a pulse after being off the radar for years, IRS closing in Eddie?
He was supposed to be going down to cruiserweight but must have figured out there isn't enough cash there.
You want to fight Pulev eddie? how dare you demand terms, you go face him in his town and get your boring ass ktfo again.
Harsh on Chambers. He fought twice with injury. He's needed time off for recovery. He's a decent fighter unfortunately a little small as a HW. He would smash all cruiserweights though.
He went down hill after he split from his Trainer Bredan Ingle. Which was after the McCollough fight. Fame went to his head. He was never the same after that. Shame he was a great fighter and showman.
Can someone knock up a GIF of Price getting Knocked down and then trying to stand up, he looked like Bambi on ice mk2
PRICELESS!!
10 billion here for you if you want the points:boxing:
To the Harlem shake music:rofl:
Apparently Thompson was offered more cash than he got against Price rematch.
Peter already said that Thompson has a bigger more lucrative offer on table.
lol Fury and his crew are a joke, he has a lot of character.. but as a boxer he makes me laugh
You have obviously not watched him fight recently then? He's come on leaps and bounds under Peter Fury. He's the only fighter who realistically has a chance of beating Wlad.
Peter Fury may be having visa issues and Hughie will not fight without him
Seems the logical answer. Totally understandable that you wouldn't fight without your trainer in the corner.
Fury is a young 6'9" super heavyweight, not an old light heavyweight like Adamek.
Adamek has been fighting mostly bigger men than himself for years. It takes courage to do that.
Fury fights smaller HWs and has been reluctant to take on men his own size like Price.
Your still bumming Price it seems. Give it up Price would get ktfo by Fury.
WBC said Vitali won't fight till 2014 due to his damaged right hand. The right thing to do is make Vitali champion in recess and let WBC choose a opponent for Stiverne to fight for vacant belt. Then when Vitali declares himself fit he can fight the active champion.
Thompson again or i'm not interested.
maybe it was a "freak accident" like they are saying, I dount it but the only way to find out is a quick rematch, do it in 8-12 weeks time
Agreed but they will take a easier fight to regain confidence. Then look for a rematch when Thompson is 45.
I've got a feeling Chisora will be next. Chisora win for me.
So that leaves Audley and Rogan.
With Peter Fury in his corner Tyson will listen and fight mature like he did against Johnson. Fury win.
If Peter isn't in the corner. Tyson will fight gung-ho like he did against Cunningham. Whoever lands clean first will win. Still think it would be fury as he has been down and risen from the canvas.
I like Wilder but he needs to be tested. As did Price, a heavy hitter. He stepped up and look what happened.
Well irrespective of what anyone feels..
FACT 1:
FACT 2:
So leaving the facts aside, the tribunal were to take the call on the case in Oct, pushed to Nov, pushed to Feb'17 & here we are.. You don't fail a test & walk away..
I gave credit to Fury for beating Wlad, but if he was dirty then he shouldn't be getting credit..
so if BBBoC & UKAD doesn;t have a reputation to keep then its on them.. VADA testing should be recommended for all boxing boards going forward..
B sample also came back clear. People fall to mention this.
Fury's has no stamina issue and he's taller. Price just needs to get rounds under his belt. Kevin Johnson would be a good future opponent but not until he's fought some Euro level guys first.
I think this is a good fight. I don't pay attention to the Kassi fight. He got a bad cut & the health issues were a problem from what I saw. He still was winning the fight on my card but he did have some tense moments. Things could have been a lot worse but the cut was not caused by a punch so some are making it bigger than it is. They stopped the fight because it was a terrible cut & by rules it went to the cards because it was not caused by a Kassi punch. If it was caused by a punch then it would have been a Kassi TKO win but that is not what happened so no point on making it bigger than it was. Parker/Fury should be a good fight & I'm not sure who wins but Parker has the edge in experience. If he doesn't have Peter in his corner than I think Parker wins but if Peter is there that changes everything. He is a very underrated trainer...
Finally someone with sense.
Fury will be too good for Cunningham. He's really come on in his last 3 fights. His size, technique and movement will be too much.
Fury would also beat Pulev. Who has Pulev fought that's any good?
He fights stright on and very basic. Typical Eastern European fighter. Tough as nails but to ridged.
Adamek doesn't want it as would make more money at home. Besides if he won Wlad would knock the poor little thing around the ring like his big bro did for 10 rounds.
