Hughie Fury has signed the contract to fight for the world title.

But it was confirmed by Frank Warren, the representative of 22-year-old Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) during the purse bids, that he has now signed the contract for the Duco Events-promoted clash.

Parker, 25, is 22-0 with 18 early and will have home advantage for the clash, though an official announcement on the venue has yet to be made.

“[The] [c]ontract is now signed for [Hughie Fury] to face [Joseph Parker] for the [World Boxing Organisation] world heavyweight championship,” a post on Frank Warren’s official Twitter account read.

Paco Valcarcel, the WBO’s president, has yet to comment, but Boxing Scene understands that the fight will now go ahead as planned, with further details to be revealed in due course.
