My stepson has been watching fights with me for a couple years now.. He's 12 now and hes been going to a local boxing gym we found nearby. So cool, he trains a couple days a week. Anyway the gym is nice and big with two rings.. April 30th they're hosting some amateur bouts. I can't wait... Nothing like a watching a couple little guys swing away for 3 1 minute rounds!!!!!:boxing:

I know he did this to get the Big Manny fight but unless he wins I think this is his last high profile fight... Had he stayed with Golden Boy as a partner he would have longer potential income. I just don't think it was worth it...

Every time I see an interview with him I'm more and more convinced he's hes not mentally up to par with the average elementary school child... Perhaps It's his out of control Manny Jealousy that really sheds light on how immature he is..... Did Floyd attend High School?

Looking for this fight on internet and can't seem to find it. This was Arturo's older brother. He took a wicked punch in the first round from Terrible Terry Norris. Seemed like the most painful broken nose I've ever seen in boxing.... Didnt knock him out but he couldn't continue.... Anybody seen this floating around?

The guy (canelo) is very good offensively but he couldn't get Hatton out of there and the Hatton is a C- class welterweight with no power. Alvarez should have had him out in a few rounds. Plus his defense is so weak, a real good, fast fighter will pick him to pieces. Plus Canelo's ego is bigger than his skills are. He didn't make weight and that shows he was looking past Hatton. Shouldn't be looking past any fighter. I'm starting to think his fight against Carlos Baldomir may have been a lucky punch... Didn't see it.... Was it????

Just for my information can some please explain how 10 years ago Don King pretty much had his hands in every big fight there was. Now hes only handling a couple here and there it seems. Is the because Goldenboy shoved him off the map???

Don't usually dream about fights but did have this one.... Not even out of the first round,,, Manny opens up with the first real flurry, Floyd covers up and catches a left hook to the ribs, takes a knee and gets up after an 8 count. Manny attacks with more to the body. Floyd doesnt want to continue. TKO for Manny, Floyd claims it wasn't the body shot but he wasn't feeling well all week. Weird huh???

I saw some show the other day about Hollywoods worst plastic surgeries... Mickey Rorke was one of the victims.... On the show some "wink wink" expert claimed he got his face beat in while he was boxing and the surgery was to fix the damage.... The dude only had 8 fights and 20 rounds total..... Seems he wasn't in it long enough to sustain any lasting damage...... I also heard somewhere he had a really good left hook, any truth to this either?

I was a huge Sugar Ray Fan. Saw him beat Benitez in 1979 for the title. Never missed a fight. IMO He was a true shining star in boxing. He had unmatched skill, hit hard and fought anybody.... I see lots of posts here about Floyd's legacy and i'm just thinking.... With or without the Manny fight win or loose. Boxing is a sport of now... Will anybody be talking about Floyd or his skill in ten years... My point is other than Fantasy fight polls nobody ever really talks about Sugar Ray. And being a fight fan in both eras I can tell you Floyd doesn't hold a candle to the excitement that Sugar Ray generated... Just my thoughts... :boxing:

The fight was more or less how I expected other than the final outcome....But... Bradley doesn't hit hard, hes sloppy and throws wide punches... All Bradley really has is a lots of confidence and aggression.... Did Alexander seem to just give up? When they called the decision his eyes were clear and open.... I mean this is boxing right? You're gonna get hurt....

I was in a old Po Dunk bar here in Texas.. More of an Biker Ice house. The walls and ceiling were covered with years of beer posters layers and layers. When the new management came in they cleaned up a little bit and removed the top couple layers of posters. I was shooting pool and looked up and saw the corner of a boxing poster. So I had the old lady that owned the place peel back the poster and found the original Tyson vs Holyfield poster. This poster is unique because Tyson went to jail and that fight never happened... Even searching the internet for this poster I can't find it to post.... It's back when Holyfield had the Kid and Play square haircut and Tyson had lines in his cut in his hair... It's a painting of them fighting not real photo as they had never met yet.... The original fight was scheduled for Nov, 8th 1991. I offered her $5 and she said $10... Deal... I will take a picture and send in....

Just watching this old fight against Gatti for the first time... Granted, Gatti was an easy target with no head movement but man I think Floyd was incredible...... Never seen Floyd look that sharp.
