Go away 50! You will ruin all of your fighters career! You dont know anything about boxing, nor the fighters you signed! You first learned about them at Floyd's gym! You dont know any of their weaknesses, and their kryptonite. Anyone who knows boxing, wouldnt have put Dib in the ring with a pressure fighter with a chin, because all they will do is hold and have a horrible fight. And he defended his title against the guy too? Idiot. You will be surprised when you see all of your other fighter's weaknesses. You know nothing about them, and your a casual overnight fan! Having an am record doesnt mean that you spent your life watching every single fight that came on tv. You just started watching it foreal foreal, recently.
More people than I'd like to see are more concerned, it seems, about which promoter/manager does what with which fighter, than about getting to watch quality fights. I certainly expected more from a boxing forum, presumably populated by fans of the sport, not necessarily of its "celebrities".
Would you rather watch a good fight, regardless of "rank" or "stature," or second-guess the strategies of businessmen?
Speaking of Dib: So what if he lost? I'm sure it's tough for him to lose his title, but as a boxing fan, I enjoyed the fight, and didn't care about the background dealings. Dib now has a chance to learn from his mistakes, and improve for his next fight. It's better that his weaknesses be exposed sooner rather than later.
Would you much rather Dib be coddled, and protected from challenging fighters? If so, then what kind of champion is he?
Would you rather boxing promoters/managers keep their fighters away from Gradovich (who beat Dib, after short notice), or should Gradovich be allowed, fairly, to showcase his skills, and get a chance to win the belt because he deserves it?
It's shameful enough that boxing politics plays the role that it does, but when "fans" actually show sympathy or ill will not for the actual boxers, but for the people behind them, it's just...so, so sad....
