Tell me what you all think of this one. Mike vs. Evander for a third and final battle, and why not. Both guys are older, slower, weaker, (Mike's poorer)and the up side here is since neither one seems to be able to win a fight anymore, someone actually may at this show. I say "may" because this also has the potential to be the closest thing to Wrestlemania outside of wrestling. And who knows, Tyson may actually be able to bet on himself in this fight and cash a real paycheque. What do y'all think about this matchup and would you watch it?

VK is the best but he can be beaten. Put in a tall, rangy fighter (preferably a southpaw) with endurance, a stiff jab, and a great left hand. Work the jab and left hand while maintaining constant head movement and VK will soon hit the canvas. Until a young fighter with these skills and gameplan come along VK will reign supreme.
true...but that's my problem....i watch VK fight and i see all the holes...you can't look at the lennox fight as an example of VK's abilities...two 250 pound guys beating the crap out of each other requires very little ability...

3)If Gatti's corner didnt stop it and the ref didnt then how long do you think Gatti wouldve lasted before being KO? Another round or do you think he couldve went the distance?
4)Now that its over do you regret buying the PPV?
5)Do you think Mayweather gained any fans last night and can he headline another PPV event?
6)Who would win a Harris Rematch?
7)When Floyd was winning, what was the crowd's reaction? Were they silent or were they moaning every time Floyd caught him with a combo?

floyd did get booed on his way out...the ref said stop punching and was about to step in when floyd clocked gatti...another two rounds before it was over with...don't regret paying to see the best fighter on the planet...i hope the best fighter on the planet gained some fans because i'd pay to see him again...fuck a harris...i think a gatti crowd can recognize greatness when they see it, and respect it as well, it hurt to see gatti lose like that though...i turned the channel after the fight was called so i don't know if he was booed or not...and NOBODY is beating mayweather right now...

Maussa is not a factor in the division just a bus stop so somebody can pick up his title. Floyd rules the division as long as he is there. Only one fighter stands a chance and that is Hatton but I don't see him beating Mayweather.

then again...we are talking about arthuro gatti...you can't front on his boxing / fighting skills...i love the fact that gatti throws EVERY type of punch available...hooks...upper cuts...straight hands...jabs...killer body work ( which helps keep them " boxers " still )...and he does this in 5 to 6 punch combos with both hands...
gatti has the heart and skill needed to win a fight like this...along with the fact that he's the " home team "...convention hall baby...
gatti knocks him out by the seventh...unless floyd can out box him for twelve rounds...if so i see a split decision for mayweather...

If Arturo can somehow pull off a win against Floyd it will be as big a boxing comeback as I have ever seen in boxing. Gatti has had a career resurection like no other fighter I have ever seen adn if he can beat arguably p4p the best fighter in the world and certainly the most gifted fighter in the world Arturo will have thrown away the "Im just an entertaining fighter" stigma...he will have become a great fighter so fuck the p4p shit, this fight is for elite status in terms of his career.
How can a fighter take huge beatings in the ring, lose to most of the top guys he has ever fought and then someone come back later on with a few more boxing skills and all of a sudden beat the most talented fighter on the planet?
I dont think Gatti is going to win this fight but I have gotten more and more excited as the fight approaches, I will be rooting my ass of for Arturo and if he does pull this fight out then who cares about the p4p that is irrelevant...what will be relevant is that Arturo Gatti will not be just a great action fighter any longer he will be a great fighter period.

I really hope youre kidding. You actually think that arturo gatti belongs on the P4P list. What has he done, other then the ward gatti trilogy. He lost almost all his big fights. Angel manfredy stopped him on cuts, De la hoya beat him so bad that gatti's corner threw in the towel, even ivan robinson beat him. But the thing to me that sticks out is that he got beat by king solomen. Who???? exactly.
Its not that i question his heart, but i do question how good he really is. He is a fighter with marketability. Everyone loves a fighter that stands there and goes to war. But when that fighter cant beat the elite, he is just another run of the mill fighter whos only true skill is being a punching bag that punches back.
