The only reason I would like to see Berto vs Pac is to see him get KTFO. Berto has good speed but he has not proved anything at this point in time. It is just not fair that Berto is getting as high a payday as marquez when Marquez has a longer and more illustrious career compared to Berto.
They keep putting Berto against these slow and mediocre journeymen and overpaying him.
The only time they put him against any one really credible was against Collazo which I think he lost by 1 point and the rematch never happened.
Pac would be too much a jump in competition for Berto.

WTF is so hard to understand? The last blood test happened to occur 18 days before fight night. Neither fighter knew that that would be the last blood test. Just because some biased filipino article was going around using the word cut-off doesn't mean it was a cut-off. May and Mosley could have potentially been subjected to another blood test during those 18 days;hence the phrase "random testing."

Trinidad was better than Cotto will ever be. Cotto is more technically sound, but Trinidads power and stamina was what made him special. Trininidad never lost at 147, then went up to 154 and went right for the gold winning 2 titles then went up to 160 won a title then got beat by one of the best middleweights of all time.

De la Hoya schooled Trinidad for the majority of their fight and Trinidad got a gift decision.
This fight was a combination of a good performance from DA and a lackluster performance from Maidana. DA held way to much at the beginning to middle of the fight and did it to a more tolerable and strategic level towards the end when he started to mix it in with good footwork, angles and punching.
He has lost 3 fights in a row regardless of what the official outcome was but unlike many people I am not ready to jump on the bandwagon.
DA seems to have that Jermaine Taylor problem were he is to jittery and can't seem to relax in a fight which causes unnecessary tension and fatigue.

Cortez did a poor job at refereeing the fight. I am not taking anything away from either fighter. You can't blame a guy for hitting you behind the head if he is punching and you are putting your head down.

I watched Martinez vs PWill and Floyd would beat that boy to death. It would be exciting for 6 rds Then Martinez would get tired and tattooed.
How are you going to compare P.W. and PBF? Completely different styles and different body types. PW likes to pressure and his work rate is much higher than Floyds. Floyd throws 40 something punches per round and PW can do about 100/rd at times. PW is a bigger man and there's a big difference when a bigger man is leaning on you in a clinch then someone your own size or smaller.
Floyd's pace will be more to Martinez liking and he is not bigger than Martinez.
If you said something along the lines of Floyd having better skills and Martinez would get tatooed after 6 when Floyd figures him out then ok cause Floyd seems to do that well in his fights but using Martinez vs PW to assume the outcome of a Martinez vs PBF fight is not very good.

At home. Dirrel did outbox froch and won on points but he did not do enough to beat the champ at home. Remember it is not enough to just barely beat the champ on points you have to convinsingly beat him. Direll is still green but he will be a force to recken with. Boxing is scored on a 10 point system. The fighter at the end of the match wins the fight, barring a KO of course. That rule or standard is not changed whether it's a title fight. If you win by one point or four points you win the match.
So if Dirrell only wins by one point he wins the match and the title. This goes for the sport of boxing.

We also have to keep in mind the big EGOS involved on this negotiations, so did Pacman Ego got in the way not to accept the drug policy??? YES!!!, but he did accept 3 blood testing including one of them 25 days before the fight and another one the same day of the fight after the fight would be over, including urine testing every day towards the fight. That agreement by Pacman is more than and a Unprecedented drug testing policy in the history of Boxing. Was Pacman willing to fight, did he want to fight???? YES!!
Why did PBF came up with this drug policy?? Because he can't believe Pacquiao is as good or better than him?? Because he is influenced by others (Paulie's) comments?? Or was he ducking Pacman??? Or was he really wanting to clean the sport???

Your argument is poor at best. Of course purses are offered at gross to the fighter. So he is being offered $750K gross and to use your example he will take $200K home net.
So he turns down this money and accepts a fight for $400K gross and do you think his take home pay is more or less than if he would have accepted the $750K offer? So instead of taking your $200K home he takes $50K home.
So at the end of the day it is still probably a career high pay day for a title, or should I say titles, shot on premium cable channel. This fight bumping his purse up and beating martinez would have gotten him aid even better next time around and more exposure.
