Cotto will not take this fight, he has a great track record of taking on the best and showing a respect for boxing fans. It would be a descent fight at 154 for a belt, but not for the mw title. he does have a good resume unfortunately he sued golden boy promotions and jumped shipped SMS promotions so he won't be getting any of those pay days now. HBO should still give him some solid opponents. Maybe he can get a title shot at Andrade but being in with the cash cows like Canelo & Floyd Mayweather will never happen now due to the politics of boxing. He can still have a solid career over on HBO and get some solid pay days if he continues to look the way he did in his last fight though. Lets face it though he left a talent rich JMW stable at GBP where the match up possibilities were endless to go to HBO where the marquee names around his weight class just aren't at. He just has to keep taking care of business and keep winning and he will still carve out a decent living for himself.
Looks like they might feed him to GGG, IF he could somehow pull that off, would be huge for him. I don't see it happening tho, I could see him becoming a fighter that is used to boost the resumes of bigger, better fighters. You have to give the guy alot of respect. I bet he takes the GGG fight.
Golden Boy has already offered a fight to Kirkland against Canelo in the past but Kirkland declined. Now Canelo fights on Showtime and Kirkland is still fighting on HBO, the fight won't get done anymore for the same reason all the other fights with fighters that fight on different networks don't. You don't have to be a fan of Canelo or Kirkland to know that and you don't have to try to make it seem like Canelo is ducking Kirkland just because you don't like him.

The "Cold War" basically started due to Mayweather-Pacquiao and it was brewing for years before with the main boxing promotional companies; Top Rank and Golden Boy. The HBO/Showtime thing merely escalated due to the promotional feuds.
HBO made an announcement that they would not do business with gbp. There seems to be major beefs between top arum/mayweather and hbo/golden boy. Also, mayweather/hbo. Take mayweather out of the equasion and you hbo needing to open the door to gbp.

Golden Boy is set up my man, Showtime is gaining ground quickly. GBP has alot more going for them than mayweather. Showtime is paying floyd to promote their boxing program, not a bad move if they onky break even. These guys only want to box 2 or 3 times per year now adays. More fights means more cards. Golden boy is winning the best weight divisions as far as roster goes. It would be wise for bob and hbo to come around.

Look it up, dude. Danny has my respect and will move up this year. Broner could have gotten the fight with garcia, I imagine, but went after paulie instead. He has proven FAR LESS than Garcia at 140, broner skipped the toughest fights to chase money and fame, he lost. Danny is going about his career very well indeed. He's a tough kid and might be floyd's last or second to last fight.
