It takes a man to apologise, welcome to the Calzaghi fan club. No big muscles, no big mouth, nearly 34 and bad hands that stops aparring, and he does that to Lacy? He has really believed he was the best around for years, and has been doing that to other good fighters too. I wouldnt put Lacy anywhere near the quality of some of the other fighters he has fought, he was-tailor made for his style. What Calzaghi has got is incredible stamina which seems to go unnoticed, he never appears to tire. He does appear to slap, but while his opponents are confused in the barrage he does the damage
Hi Sactown1, fancy a rematch, if Lacy ever fights again?
Very very very brave man, Lacy. So you think Joe looked scared?
Did you also think Tyson would beat Lewis too?
Hasn't fought anyone to compare to Eubank?
You can't blame him for being bitter though.
I am not sure what you guys are saying, but Joe did fight Eubank! was'nt he the first to knock down Eubank? Are you forgetting he actually fought him 9 years ago?
Did he also not beat Collins? Again I say boxing does not start and end with the US, who have they got in the heavyweight ranks now?
Their selection is pitiful, and there still is not an opening pic at the top of
this site of Lennox! He gave Mike the pasting of a lifetime, so sweet to see Lennox tuck him up in bed and then put the lights out, it was clinical and almost cruel in the operation. Did Lewis look scared, before or during?
History says that Tyson's management paid $7 million in a get out clause to avoid Lewis, and who could blame them? Its sheer rubbish to suggest Lennox
avoided anyone in boxing, he was too arrogant for that!
Michael Watson was a great fighter, in the Benn and Eubank class, and perhaps in the Uk we do not have this quality around anymore.
Who knows what Joe, a lot younger than the others would have done?
He has a peculiar style they all would have struggled with, with this flapping style which puts them on the defence and then he punches properly.
Perhaps we should ask Mr Lacy just how good Joe was, he "might" know?
He called him a slapper too, boy how he must regret those words.
Hi, I thought he won it too. My problem is I really can't stand Mayweather the man, I like humble human beings, and mayweather would never fit into that category. I might be bias against everything he does.
As a fight, it will not live long in my memory. There were so many punches blocked by both boxers I have not a clue how anyone coud judge it. Maybe thats why the scoring ranged so much?
