You kept opening your mouth about "Joe Calfaggy" and you had never seen him fight-that is the definition of stupid...do you understand that? That's true of 90% of the people who badmouthed him. You could just tell from the predictions who had seen him fight and who hadn't. I predicted Lacy by UD, but I always brought up Calzaghe's strengths and said it was going to be a tough fight. But 90% of those "Lacy KO's Calfaggy in 3" predictions were totally worthless because the guys writing them had never seen him fight. They just read what other idiots had wrote about him (who probably hadn't seen him fight either) and repeated it. I think anyone who saw him fight Sheika, Mitchell, Brewer, etc knew he was live and this was a tough fight to pick. He was just a lot more "live" than anybody could predict, really, even his supporters. And by the way, Evilsaint. Why haven't you seen the fight? I mean, you couldn't find a friend or a bar that had Showtime? You can't find it online? If I heard about a fight like this one and hadn't seen it, I'd not rest until I had downloaded it or watched it. It's something to see, even if you like Lacy.

i want to apologize about my comments about joe calzaghe. i said lacy would annihilate joe, he obviously didnt. i said lacy would win by brutal TKO, he obviously didnt. from the reports i have read, joe calzaghe defeated jeff lacy in one of the most one-sided fights in recent memory. with me continually insulting joe, saying jeff would win, and basically bringing joe down at every turn, i have not been very sportsmanlike. i will no longer call him joe "calfaggy", i will admit he defeated lacy as easily as possible, i will admit i was very very wrong in my prediction, i was wrong to insult joe and his name, and eating my harsh words has not been fun. so here i am, swallowing my pride as well as my harsh words, to salvage some dignity, do whats right, and bring some civilization and sportsmanship to this website. id like to make it clear that i am still not a calzaghe supporter, but thats just my choice. im just here to make peace with those who i have insulted over this matter. for my actions, words, and behavior about joe calzaghe and his most recent fight, I apologize. Thanks for the apology, it wasn't your opinion but the way you stated it that may have offended, anyways forget it now, on to the next fight. Anyone know why there are people saying Calzaghe is nearly 34, I've just turned 33 a few weeks ago and his birthday is a week or so after mine, when you hit mid thirties that extra year hurts ;)

He has really believed he was the best around for years, and has been doing that to other good fighters too. I wouldnt put Lacy anywhere near the quality of some of the other fighters he has fought, he was-tailor made for his style. What Calzaghi has got is incredible stamina which seems to go unnoticed, he never appears to tire. He does appear to slap, but while his opponents are confused in the barrage he does the damage
