As much as I wanted him to be back, I think Manny will not be back unless a fight Floyd and Marquez as KaL-EL mentioned. Retired boxers return to the ring because they do not have other things to do in life but Manny is different. Manny is occupied in helping his people and his nation.
He was obviously extremely dehydated. He got no balance, power was not there, seems like a different spence we were watching. Can't believe that other less welterweights performed a lot better than him against crawford. Hope Crawford gives him a rematch at 154 just like Spence gave in to all his concessions in the first fight. I think Spence would still lose but he will definitely perform a lot better.
I can't believe it but I have to believe it now. In fact, I am relieved he won because no one can really tell what he will do to himself if he loses. I don't know. I think win or lose he still needs professional help. Congrats to him.
I am just saddened why so many people just jump to conclusions and make the guy look worse when he is already in the bottom of his life. I just wish Ricky Hatton can have a good, normal and a happy life even if he's not under the limelight. He was a great champion and has made his countrymen proud. He need support and not heartless comments. I hope him well.
I am a Filipino but I really thought Magsayo lost the fight. Commentators were really biased for him. Hermosillo was the busier and more effective fighter in my eyes. He did get rocked in first and ninth round and I believe he was knocked down but overall Hermosillo gets the nudge for me by one round. Magsayo has a lot to learn if he wants to reach the level of Manny. He is far from getting there for now.
Gonzales won that fight. Estrada may be the stronger fighter but Gonzales was busier, more accurate, and more aggressive that Estrada. Estrada did win some rounds but Gonzales won the majority of them. Even Estrada's corner admitted that they were behind three rounds to go and the latter rounds were still won by Gonzales. The older guy deserved that victory. Fight was great but decision was horrible.
This will be the easiest fight for mayweather. Under the boxing rules, mcgregor does no have a chance. Mayweather is annoyingly wise. He wanted that easy win and make history and at the same time cash in hundreds of millions of dollars. No respect to that. He is more of a business man than a fighter.
Mathematically Impossible
I like what Oscar did, donating. That is good. But to claim he made 250,000 pushups in 9 days is very unlikely. That is 27,777 push ups in a day or 19 push ups per minute and that is to assume that he did not sleep for the entire 9 days. But still, props for Oscar for having a heart for people.
There is really more money in boxing obviously. Many of UFC MMA main event fighters do not even get 1M, some 300k, some less. In some cases, some boxers would earn more in one fight than a successful UFC fighter in his entire career. To me that's sad knowing that the UFC is a billion dollar company.
