Cirilo Morel is right! The fight with Montiel will never happen because his son will lose to old man GP.
In a battle of former champion on February 13, Eric Morel has promised to punish Gerry Penalosa in a bantamweight eliminator at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas. The winner will get a shot at WBO champion Fernando Montiel. Morel and his father/trainer Cirilo Morel, have a feeling the fight fight Montiel will never happen. The winner of Morel-Penalosa is due to fight Montiel in June. Morel has been Montiel's mandatory for a long time. Click Here To Read More]
They had the pinay cheerleader next to Pacman during the Clottey-Pacman preess con earlier this year also.
LOL @ the guy who noticed Pac was the only one holding ht belt...or that Pac was wearing a suit. I did notice they put the pinay cheerleader closest to Pac.
Maybe Bradley is hoping for Pacquiao to get "careless" (like what happened in June 2012). He walked right into Marquez' punch.
Anyways, good luck to both fighters!
Arum's head is big too. He must be on steroids also! Where is his neck? I see chin! LOL!
I don't know why everyone keeps saying Pacquiao has a big head, it looks pretty normal in the picture with Arum. I think it's just the hair that makes it appear that way
Anyway, WAR Manny :boxing:
enough with the talk JMM... go out there and KO Pacman! Same goes to you Pacman. I don't know but I am kinda tired of this crap.
I think they should have a cage match or something! The only man left standing is the winner! LOL!
The truth is Manny did not want Floyd to make 40 MIL. How much is Floyd going to make if he fights Paulie? Maybe not enough to pay the IRS! Who do you think he's going to fight?
Manny wanted a 10MIL penalty on Floyd, 8oz gloves, 50/50 split.
What else does your Majesty Pac want? I don't see what the big
deal was to take the blood tests? I think if Pac would have taken
the random tests, came out clean, then everyone would have really
looked at Mayweather sideways for accusing but NOW Pacquiao has
left doubts, not only with Boxing fans but also with other Boxers. If
Pac fans and supporters can't see that then there is nothing else
to speak about. The truth is the truth and that truth is Manny Pacquiao
turned down the biggest fight of his career because he didn't want to
take random blood tests Floyd asked because it is what Floyd wanted?
What kind of sense does that make? I thought the money or the weight
would be the issue, not the random blood tests?
Roach was saying how he was surprised at how much money Manny gave him for the Floyd fight and how he asked Manny whether he was sure about giving him so much
Now he's complaining about money when its probably just a matter of time before he gets paid
I remember that statement from him too! Roach was not doing his job during the Horn fight! He should not get paid! LOL!
And how much would floyd get on his next fight?
manny is just i big fat Pussy how is he going to compare 5-7 mill against Paulie with 25-35 mill to mayweather just take tha test you overrated PUNK
I remember that Sugar Ray and Donnie LaLonde fight...it was BS! That's where Sugar Ray got his 5th title (weight class), right? LaLonde was really drained!
If they both came in at 140, it would be within the limits of both divisions; but they should only be able to fight for one title or the other (to be determined in the negotiations), not both at once, because if the contract specified a maximum limit of 147, it wouldn't be a valid Jnr Welterweight fight even if they both weighed in at 140; whereas if the contract specified a maximum of 140, it wouldn't be a valid Welterweight title fight under the normal rules of boxing. So they would have to decide in advance which title should be on the line.
So, for example, when Henry Armstrong was already Welterweight champion, he fought world Lightweight champion Lou Ambers. That fight was for Ambers' Lightweight title, but they could have chosen to make it for Armstrong's Welterweight title instead. But both titles couldn't be on the line simultaneously. Armstrong wanted to make history, hence he chose to make the fight for the Lightweight title and not the Welterweight title, but he could have done either.
People have fought for titles in two divisions simultaneously before (Ray Leonard vs. Donnie Lalonde) but it was bullshit when it happened - and it happened with the agreement of both fighters.
I remember that Edgar! Valero was one of the possible boxers Arum named to fight manny. The other boxers on the list were Sotto ( the guy who KO'ed pac's brother), the guy who stole JMM's belt (JMM, should stayed in the US and fought Manny,JMHO) and there were more. This happened during the time DLH and Top Rank were suing each other.
Arum's remark surprises me, or, should I say, doesn't surprise me. I'm still thinking about it. Less than a year ago, when all the "hoop-la' resulted in Manny P fighthing Barrera, I read in several publications, over quite a long period (you may remember that it took months and months before Manny's next opponent was decided) that he had everything arranged for Manny to fight Valero in Macau. he said " Manny's next fight is (not even "may be", but "IS") against Valero in Macau at the huge new hotel there. That he had many contacts there, and has already discussed it with the hotel owner who's a friend of his. Surely boxing memory isn't THAT short???? Doesn't SOMEONE recall this????
that's what I think too!
Bradley wants Pac to jump in like he did against Marquez so Bradley can KO him. That's why he is talking so much, so Pac can go all out and get countered hard.
