I'd just like someone to help me figure something out, because it seems as though the only threads I see around these forums is how scared Mayweather is to fight Pacquiao.
Both camps have said some pretty outrageous and ridiculous things over the past 4-5 years and, as a result, it can certainly muck up what the facts are from the rhetoric and posturing coming from Mayweather/Top Rank/GBP. I'm not going to include Pacquiao because its pretty clear that he's only a fighter and has no control over who he actually fights.
With that said, lets strip away all of the bull**** that you think Mayweather says which "proves" he doesn't want to fight Pacquiao. Let's forget about all of the ridiculous statements that have come out of Arum's mouth for a second: How many times has either camp ACTUALLY reached out to the other to attempt to make the fight?
From my count, its only happened 2-3 times - all of which were initiated by Mayweather's camp.
1.) The first time was in 2009, which we all know about. Everything was agreed to except drug testing. No need to rehash, but Mayweather offered a 14 day cut off for blood testing, which Pacquiao's camp rejected in favor of fighting Clottey.
2.) The second time was in 2011 when Mayweather's camp contacted Arum via a neutral 3rd party in judge Daniel Weinstein and were told that they were not interested in a Mayweather fight and that they were pursuing a 4th Marquez fight instead.

3.) The 3rd time (which I personally wouldn't call a "negotiation", but whatever) was the 3 minute conversation Mayweather directly had with Pacquiao in which he offered him 40 million dollars to fight, and was denied in favor of a 50/50 split.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but Pacquiao's camp has never actually initiated any legitimate negotiations to fight Mayweather.
If Pacquaio's camp is as interested in a Mayweather fight as his fans suggest, then why haven't they actually reached out to him, and why do they always seem to have a "list of 3 names" Pacquiao can choose from (a list that never includes Mayweather) before he even fights his upcoming opponent?
Likewise, if Mayweather is as scared to fight Pacquiao as his detractors suggest, then why has he attempted to start negotiations on 3 separate occasions?
Don't call me a troll. Don't tell me how "****ty" the thread is. If you don't like it then don't reply. I'd just like someone to answer the question and give me an intelligent response, because I really can't think of any times where Pacquiao's camp ever seriously attempted to make the fight since 2009.
