I'd just like someone to help me figure something out, because it seems as though the only threads I see around these forums is how scared Mayweather is to fight Pacquiao.
Both camps have said some pretty outrageous and ridiculous things over the past 4-5 years and, as a result, it can certainly muck up what the facts are from the rhetoric and posturing coming from Mayweather/Top Rank/GBP. I'm not going to include Pacquiao because its pretty clear that he's only a fighter and has no control over who he actually fights.
With that said, lets strip away all of the bull**** that you think Mayweather says which "proves" he doesn't want to fight Pacquiao. Let's forget about all of the ridiculous statements that have come out of Arum's mouth for a second: How many times has either camp ACTUALLY reached out to the other to attempt to make the fight?
From my count, its only happened 2-3 times - all of which were initiated by Mayweather's camp.
1.) The first time was in 2009, which we all know about. Everything was agreed to except drug testing. No need to rehash, but Mayweather offered a 14 day cut off for blood testing, which Pacquiao's camp rejected in favor of fighting Clottey.
2.) The second time was in 2011 when Mayweather's camp contacted Arum via a neutral 3rd party in judge Daniel Weinstein and were told that they were not interested in a Mayweather fight and that they were pursuing a 4th Marquez fight instead.
http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/7235880/floyd-mayweather-jr-aide-says-manny-pacquiao-camp-even-talk-fight
3.) The 3rd time (which I personally wouldn't call a "negotiation", but whatever) was the 3 minute conversation Mayweather directly had with Pacquiao in which he offered him 40 million dollars to fight, and was denied in favor of a 50/50 split.
Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but Pacquiao's camp has never actually initiated any legitimate negotiations to fight Mayweather.
If Pacquaio's camp is as interested in a Mayweather fight as his fans suggest, then why haven't they actually reached out to him, and why do they always seem to have a "list of 3 names" Pacquiao can choose from (a list that never includes Mayweather) before he even fights his upcoming opponent?
Likewise, if Mayweather is as scared to fight Pacquiao as his detractors suggest, then why has he attempted to start negotiations on 3 separate occasions?
Don't call me a troll. Don't tell me how "****ty" the thread is. If you don't like it then don't reply. I'd just like someone to answer the question and give me an intelligent response, because I really can't think of any times where Pacquiao's camp ever seriously attempted to make the fight since 2009.
nice spin. Floyd is saying manny needs money so he wants to fight after years of not wanting to. Of course you know this but you need to pretend otherwise. whatever makes you happy.
:pat: Floyd did not say that and you know he didn't BUT even if he did, SO WHAT!!! Floyd is saying that "I DON'T WANT TO FIGHT MANNY and MANNY ABSOLUTLEY WANTS TO FIGHT ME".
No spin .... except for you trying to unsuccessfully!
Prime cotto ,prime marg and pac all try call floyd buh floyd decided to retire for few year, rememebr floyd half chicken , bone very brittle and need lot of rest..

When Koncz met with chief TMT negotiator Roger Mayweather

"people in the industry were taken back to hear of a surprise visit by Manny’s advisor Michael Koncz recently to the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas."
"And Roger did confirm that he had met up with Koncz"
"There were varying reports as to what kind of business Koncz was handling while in town, but Roger admits that the fight was definitely discussed."

You should just admit your idol don't want it.
So reaching out is not expected. If he wants it,
he should do something about it. If not, don't,
as simple as that.
This is not rocket science. You people always make
it sound as if he will be doing it for charity.
His name is Money, don't you expect him to make biggest
money fight of the century? What is he afraid of?
Tell me.
9 pages, only one sign of intelligence coming from someone that actually answered the question, and came to the conclusion that neither side wants the fight. Literally every other comment I've read is exactly like yours: Floyd bashing or trolling.
You all talk so much about how scared Mayweather is of Pacquiao, and yet you can't come up with any evidence that Pacquiaos camp is actively seeking a Mayweather fight outside of a bogus time clock reference where no one spoke to Floyds side.
Its clear that Pacquiao would fight May weather any place and any time. Its also clear that his promoter has made little to no effort to get the fight made. You can talk all you want about whos ducking who, but the FACTS are that both sides have only sat down one time and actually tried to negotiate: 2009. There have been 2, possibly 3 other attempts to negotiate. 2 initiated by Floyd, and if you want to include the bogus time clock time perios, feel free. That makes 3 legitimate times Floyd has reached out to Arums 1, yet you idiots continue to post quotes from Mayweather that are clearly designed exclusively to piss you off.
it seems as if Pac is going to personally reach out for the fight. I'm not sure what that's going to do - we all know Floyd was on the phone with Manny and nothing but BS came out of his mouth, while his fans had an orgasm about how Floyd's offer was so great and Pac should accept it.
Ok, so Pacquiaos camp hasn't reached out because it should be Floyd who calls them?

Floyd should be the one reaching out. The way I see it,
his legacy is looking bleak with Pacman not present in his resume.
Who are we kidding? Of course, it will haunt him for the rest of his life.
The man who calls himself Money avoided the biggest money fight of
the century. Can't you see how embarrassing that is?
Floyd should be begging for this fight ASAP before it's too late.

No, Pacquiao did not call Mayweather. Mayweather called Konz, who gave the phone to Pacquiao after Floyd asked to speak to him.

Anything else?
Well, then, there's your freaking answer. Why'd you even start this thread?
You knew this all along, and still wanted to embarrass yourself?
So the answer to his question is...? When?ahhhhh right Deflection thats ok, its a familiar thing that happens when Manny is getting a little **** off Floyd groupies!!
Who freaking cares what the reason/excuse is coming out of Floyd.
Now, I think even YOU would understand that interview in that Floyd CLEARLY does NOT want to meet up with Manny and CLEARLY does NOT want to fight Manny and Floyd ADMITS that Manny wants it and uses the trouble with taxes.
BUT
WHO CARES WHY???? AGAIN, the point is that Floyd HIMSELF ADMITTED that Floyd doesn't want to fight Manny and Floyd admitted that Manny does .... AGAIN clear enough that even the most biased Floyd fan would understand!!!

once again you made it clear that you wanted nothing to do with me yet you keep quoting me. this is the same thing you criticize floyd for doing to manny. stick to what you said you would-don't quote me and put me on ignore.
Quoting you again. What's up, buddy? Why are you quoting me back?
Exhibit A. #1 Floyd groupie.
