I think Holt needs a win first. He hasn't won a fight in nearly 2 years. Still do would be a dangerous fight Khan, bu't don't see it happening.
High risk, no reward.
I attended the Holt vs Bradley fight, and alot of the Canada fans booed the decision, and I actually read a few reports that felt Kendall nicked it with the knockdows, aswell as his late rally.
What's the probelm, because Tim was in a close were he nearly got his head knocked off? Tim is a good fighter, but is seriouly overrated.
Alot of Tim's fans aint gonna be happy come the 29th.
Ricrado Mayorga never fails to dissapoint at press conferences. Always very entertaining. :lol1:
Although I expect Cotto to win, am still looking foward to this fight.
Crap fight. Ortiz cound't even win a title @ 140lb and has already been stopped @ 140lb 2 years ago and is coming off a draw @ 140lb. But yet he's getting a WBC 147lb title shot?
Berto will be far to much for him. Berto is wasting his prime years. Berto vs Cintron made perfect sense for the 16th.
well this fight is the definition of a prize fight IMO, two hungry fighters with alot to prove, with no title at stake.
Why? And Victor Ortiz a hungry fighter? Are we watching the same fighter? It fairly obvious he dosen't love the game and was happy with a draw against Peterson.
Andre Bero should be having big fights at this stage etc Cintron, Williams, Pac, Clottey, Cotto etc.
Not fighting 140lb contenders, in catchweights bouts. How can you say this is a ''definition of a prize fight''
This is a one sided easy fight for Berto, against a lower weight contender, who's still got a lot to prove.
this aint for the 147 strap, if i recall right it was gonna be at a catchweight of around 144 or something.....
Even worse. Andre Berto is doing a catchweight bout with Victor Ortiz...:pat:
Berto has talent & potential, but is just wasting with fights like this.
Berto @ 5' 8" shouldn't be fighting taller fighters like Cintron or Williams. I do think he should be fighting guys like Zab Judah, Clottey, Cotto. Wouldn't mind seeing him fight Khan as well. I think after this fight if he wins, is when Berto gets his "big" fight. And by big, I don't necessarily mean the big 2, but a worthy name. Victor Ortiz is a live fighter and should fight hard in the early rounds. I still would like to see Berto in there with Paulie as I think it would be a good warmup for a PacMan fight since Paulie does have fast hands and good footwork. It would be a safe fight since Paulie's right hand is weaker than most women.
Since when were fights decided by height do?
Yes Berto should fight Cintron, it's a fight that makes sense, and Cintron is good opponent. And I don't think Cintron being 3 inches taller should stop the fight from happening either.
Hundreds of fighters give away height and still win. And I really wound't want to see Berto fight Paulie, Berto would crush him.
Paulie is overrated & a real overachiever. Hard to belive how much money he's earned and how many big fights he's had.
I don't really rate Murray. Khan would take him apart.
Murray I find is very limted, and has been given the right opponents & the right time to get that unbeaten record. His best win is a washed up Jon Thaxton.
He isn't proven against top tier Lightweights. Khan all day if this happens.
I would prefer Prescott II, or Paul McCloskey.
Shocking, especailly when you consider he had a big HBO fight with Lee coming up. Always thought Duddy was overrated and done well to get as far as he got.
I know/knew alot better fighters than him, who didn't earn as much money or get as many chances as him.
