Cotto is a great fighter. He did an excellent job with Mayweather. Throw first and continue the aggressiveness. I also believe that Mayweather was more offensive minded in that fight. Mayweather Sr took him right back to his running defensive style.
I went to those matches in Oakland and although I would like to continue to see Ward fight in the Oracle Arena..... I think it would be more fair if the rematch is done on somewhere more neutral.
Canelo, PAC, definitely Bradley in there, and I'm not sure what other two. GGG?
Triple G can possibly be a big showdown for Canelo in the future at 160.
running? maybe you need to see what running is, watch Cotto Margarito rounds 7 and on, that's running. back pedaling, not throwing any punches back
you don't really understand the sport, maybe you should go watch tennis?
I could of sworn I seen a comment of yours where you said that you thought Guerrero was a "live underdog". Maybe we should watch tennis together, eh? Speaking of tennis, Mayweather should give it a try with all of that running side to side.
Um he fought a no name guy Guerrero on Showtime PPV.
A no name guy that beat the crap out of Berto and gave some what of hope that his aggression would reach Floyd. Those other no name guys are either not aggressive enough or glass chins.
After the performance that Martinez displayed against Murray, I can definitely see Mayweather choosing Sergio. With the hands down style, he left himself open for the jab all night. Sergio doesn't have a very good chin either.
Jay Nady did the worst stoppage of his career. Normally Nady does an excellent job, but he really screwed up last night. He disappeared out of the ring.... real quick.
Rematch.
Joel Diaz said that they do not want to fight in Asia. Bradley might be hoping that a win over Marquez will put him in a better position for negotiations in a Pac rematch.
whaaaaaat? didn't you see the 12th round of Martinez-Jr. fight? Sergio ate like 20 flush powershots to the head after the knockdown and he was still on his feet fighting back.
Martinez has been down in each of his last 3 fights. Murray has 11 KO in 29 wins.... less than 50%. Chavez Jr didnt hit Martinez until the 12th round.... yet, Chavez Jr is not a devastating puncher either.
I believe Juan can knockout Bradley
I hope he can, but I see a very hard fight for both fighters. Bradley is going to work the ring and use plenty of movement. Marquez is not made to be the aggressor. He is at his best when he is on the defensive.
I'd like to see him fight Bradley, Pacman, Canelo and Marquez rematch as it's going to be one class battle
If Marquez defeats Bradley, he will campaign for a rematch with Floyd. Marquez was really flabby and slow when he first moved up to Welter to fight Floyd. Since then, he looks much more comfortable and fit at 147.
I just wanna see Floyd fight Garcia if he wins the tourney, Broner and Canelo. I'm not paying to see him fight anyone else. I say them and not other fighters under other promotions cuz Floyd is strictly doing in house fights like Bob does.
Garcia is just not aggressive enough to stand a chance.
Whoever it is.... I believe Floyd has to make a popular choice. If he fights Garcia, I don't see this fight selling anymore than last night. A fight with Khan would do well in Europe but not so much here.
Some of those guys are not even on his radar too dangerous.
his list is more like this
1 Amir Khan, big money safe fight, and will be the best and easiest option for him because the British fans will pay and it will give him the payday he wants
2 A rematch with Victor Ortiz they are already having Ortiz as a possible opponent for Guerrero if he beats Guerrero they will sell the rematch of Floyd like he was wrongfully blind suckered punched.
3 Devon Alexander
4 lamont peterson
5 Danny Garcia
Unless he wants to fight on Solo Boxeo, CBS will have a hard time selling those fights.
neither Roy Jones or Paul williams were the same after there devastating knockout losses, Pacman might not be as good in the ring anymore
True. We still have to see how mentally damaged he will be in his return bout.
Murray - I don't have a copy of the fight but from what I remember, Martinez got clipped on top of the head, similar to the the knockdown in the first Williams fight. More of balance/equilibrium issue, not chin.
Chavez Jr - Not a devastating puncher but the punch that landed, Martinez didn't see it. Anyone can go down from a punch you don't expect, especially if the guy outweighs you by a good margin. And again, he ate a lot of big shots after being rocked. A weak chin would have gone down from one or two of the kinds of shots Jr. was landing.
Macklin - Legs were tangled.
Murray knocked him down with a right... straight down the pipe.
winner of Pac/Whoever
Or crush Baby Floyd.
Maybe it's because I am a huge fan of Marquez, but if he beats Bradley.... I think he should go for a Floyd rematch.
