Spence didn't want him there. He was annoyed when he was asked about it......."I don't know what he's doing here.....I don't go to his fights". Spence is not scared of Crawford, in fact I think he would beat him....but he knows this is Al Haymon's play and he stays out of it.
didn't he just challenge Crawford to a fight? didn't Crawford fight washed up Brook instead? and no Thurman did not ask for 10 million.....kinda like Crawford making noise about fighting Porter until Porter said ok.....then suddenly "now is not the time" Porter just called him out on the Spence/Garcia PPV. Watch Crawford wiggle out....again.
I really have to suspect Crawford's pick of opponents.....he claims no one will fight him...yet...he instantly turns down Thurman who never asked for 10 million and also had no interest in Porter. So you can't have it both ways, complain no one will fight you and then make no effort to fight note worthy fighters. Don't forget they originally called Brook damaged goods and unworthy...but guess what he was his last fight. Crawford is talented but will lose to Spence and I think in his heart of hearts he knows what he would be in for. It simply boils down to a smaller skilled welter fighting an equally skilled larger welter. At some point Crawford would have to step to Spence and the heat would be too much. If they ever fight and this is looking less and less likely I think this will be the outcome. That being said Spence said ask me about Crawford after the Garcia fight.....well after the Garcia fight he wanted no part of that conversation. That is not fear on Spence's part but he has to tow the Haymon line.
Why is that there is always some reason Crawford can't make the big fights...........he even had to get dragged kicking and screaming into the Porter fight. He keeps telling us he is the best and pound per pound best and always complains it's someone else's fault when these fights don't happen. I smell a narcissist that's scared to lose.....he's 35 already. He's always saying he can't wait to show us all......and then he doesn't. I hope Spence moves on to 154 and Crawfish can finish his career with no-hopers and then tell us for the next 10 years he would have beat Sugar Ray Robinson easily......
Don't worry yourself about this fight.....isn't happening. Spence wants it and is waiting for it.....he doesn't even want a tune up.....but....as he has done before Crawford will find a way out of the negotiations and fight a no-hoper. I don't think he can hang with Spence and apparently he doesn't either!
I expect negotiations to fall apart and Crawford to fight another no-hoper.....if that is the case I hope he does the boxing world a favor and just retires.
all I can say is he has never looked like a bumbling amateur before.....sure Crawford had a lot to do with it, but it was a cake walk for him, nothing coming back. Crawford had a much harder time in his previous fight that everyone called a sparring match. Yes he made it look easy....because it was easy. I don't want to see Spence in the ring again, he is risking what health he has left.
Crawford will be forgotten by then......most of us have given up on him for quite a while now. He's been a non-player since moving up to welter....Porter was there for them as well as others......could have had a chance to prove his skills. Personally I think he will be exposed if he ever fights a top welter, which looks unlikely to happen anyway.....
Hey Crawford ......are you paying attention? Porter is available and you should be fighting him.....as you said you would if the Pacman fight did not work out. Scared.
absolutely one of the best......fought all the best of the time......came close to beating Marciano's title fight streak, which he should have as he beat Spinks in the first fight.
I still say Crawford does not want this fight and will find a way out.....covid.....training injury.......drop the belt. I hope I'm wrong but he has never showed any interest in fighting anyone not named Pacman....and after the Ugas fight I think we know why.
After all his B.S. ShaneMoselyJr. now says "I was only trolling everyone". doesn't have the guts to apologize when he was demanding the same from everyone else. Now that you admit trolling no one is ever gonna take you seriously again.....most of us never did. It's gonna be really funny when Crawford finds a way to bail out this fight altogether.....the only good thing about that is maybe the will be the last we hear of TrollerShaneMoselyJr.
Gary Russell Jr. has also gone on record saying it is well known thru his amateur career that Crawford has some chin problems.....in fact to make a point he punched Crawford in the face in front of several people and Crawford did nothing. Let's see who Crawford fights next and if he resigns with Arum.....should tell us a lot....
How many Crawford fights have you seen Shane Mosely Sr.? Crawford is noted for being a slow starter and his fights always look close for at least 3 or 4 rounds.....he would not be taking out Ortiz in 2 rounds. Until Crawford fights someone who is a real threat I call Bud vs. Ortiz a 50/50 fight. Let's hope the Porter fight happens and then we will see.
ShaneMosleySr. keeps getting stuck on paperwork bullshit......has Crawford answered the call out from Porter...even once in 6 months? The whole world was watching Porter repeatedly call for that fight....Crawford pretends the top guys won't fight him....bullshit. To finally silence the critics why not say let's do it Shawn and let everyone know he wants the fight. Instead he went into hiding, and the last I looked he's still hiding. Porter feels bad for his old friend Crawford because he embarassed him publicly. Watch how easily they put together a fight against another bum, perhaps then you will wake up!
Porter was never offerred 2 million.....never seriously offered anything......Kenny Porter is still waiting for any kind of offer, Arum wouldn't even ball park it for him. Spence and Pac are not happening and Pac is never going to happen and as stated above Crawford would not accept 60/40 against Spence and in fact he demanded 60/40 from his strong B side position. This has been going on for years and the situation stays the same. No problem with one legged fighters or washed up Euro bums ( Brook, Khan) but a real challenge....Porter or Ortiz, no way. For those saying Porter didn't activate his mandatory...do your homework. If Porter is guilty of anything it's being too nice to Crawford, trying to work with him like a gentleman to make the fight, big mistake. He should have gone harder at publicly calling him out. Crawford will be yet again exposed when he fights another no-hoper, he and Arum seem to have no problem putting those fights together.
Really....? Before we start the conversation on how Crawford would do at 154 how about he fights someone with a pulse at 147 and see how he looks. The way he is running from Porter doesn't show much self confidence. His resume stinks, I don't care about the "eye ball test" sure he looks good against one legged fighters and washed up Euro trash (Khan and Brook) but how about a real test at 147......strange how they have no problem making fights against bums but can't put together a fight with a legit threat. It should not be lost on anyone he has been running from Porter for over 6 months........
remember......Arum made sure Porter was no longer the mandatory before failed negotiations......hence Crawford can't be forced to fight Porter which is of course what Arum and Crawford wanted....NO fight with Porter.
So Pac is fighting Spence......that's got to burn Arum and Crawford. Arum just couldn't get it done... again! Personally I'm glad Crawford didn't get the fight.....until he starts fighting worthwhile welters he doesn't deserve the payday. Time to stop pouting and pretending and prove you are the best. I suspect another no-hoper or he will bring up the winner of this weekends jr. welterweight fight.....that would have been great 5 years ago...but....you're a welter now, time to put on your big boy pants. Or just retire already.......no one cares anymore.....it's put up or get out of the game.
Crawford just does not want Porter.....or anyone else with a heatbeat unless it's a huge payday, that way when he's exposed at least he'll have that bank to ride off into retirement. Sneaky Arum even had the WBO drop Porter from the number one spot when people starting clamoring for Shawn to activate his mandatory. Keep in mind a mandatory can only be enforced AFTER negotiations fail. Kenny Porter went straight to Arum and of course when he found out there was no way in hell Crawford was willing to fight Porter had already been dropped to number two position.....suspicious? hmmmm. If you want to really see what's going on look at what Porter has been saying and asking for in the last 6 months and then look at Bud's response. I'll make it easy for you....no response, never once did he come up to the challenge.....he did stall by saying Porter you're next in line. Well the Pacman fight fell thru what happened to Porter being next in line. Went kind of quiet didn't it. Porter has moved on and I don't blame him. Crawford is breathing a sigh of relief! Anyone could see how nervous he was....just check out the body language. Now, as usual after a little while...long enough for his blind fans to forget he will announce his next no-hoper.
Crawford scared to fight anyone with a chance........He can't find a fight at welterweight and Porter has been calling him out for 7 months. Don't give me the b.s. that Shawn should have enforced his mandatory, his Dad went right to Arum and Arum refused to give him any offer.....this is after both Crawford and Arum said publicly that if the Pacman fight doesn't work out they would fight Porter....and then.....crickets! And if that does not convince you Arum was so scared Porter would then enforce his mandatory after trying in good faith to negotiate the WBO suddenly drops Porter from number one spot. This is so transparent I can't believe so many fans can't see this. You got this right Left Hook Tua.
Ugas is available and won't cost a lot of money for Arum the cheapskate......so instead of talking about bringing smaller guys up or no-hopers why isn't Crawford making noise about this. I think we know the answer........the excuses are different but we never get a decent opponent......sounds like somebody is scared.
Floyd was great at avoiding certain guys or aging them out. Also it was about him not losing his "0".....unfortunately this has set the tone and most fighters and their promoters do their best to build up no hopers for their fighters. On top of that most top guys only want to fight once a year. Crawford does not fight often.....goes quiet if he's called out ....or in the case of Spence makes sure to price himself out. Remember Porter was going to happen if Pacman fell thru......I knew by the way Crawford was acting that there was no way he was fighting Porter.....and he didn't. I don't want to hear how Porter didn't activate his mandatory........Shawn's Dad went right to Arum's office and ...no surprise ....no offer...not a low ball offer but NO offer....not interested. How Crawford fans let him away with that shit I don't know.....
Plant will not make this fight........he's been scared of Benavidez for a long time now. rightfully so, he crumbled basically the first time Canelo started to land with power, he won't make it to the second half of the fight if he's got the guts to get in the ring.....
It's way past time Crawford proved himself at welter. His fans talk about how great he is....but look at that terrible resume! As we just found out with Billy Joe Saunders who also passed the eyeball test with mediocre wins, he got completely dominated when he stepped up to fight the best. Crawford has no interest in fighting a top welter.....but watch him fight another bum or bring someone up from 140 and get all pouty when he's not recognized as pound for pound best. Time to earn it Crawfish.
