Yeah, he still owes a grip so, guess that makes him the official fighter for the federal government. there will be a fed in a red, white and blue top hat at ringside waiting for Tyson's payday immediately after the fight.
if it does take place in DC, i'll have to check it out. maybe give away a pair of tickets as a monthly contest prize on fightcardproductions.com
ill be there most definetly. u gonna go to the bowe fight at the armory? I heard that is scheduled for the 25h. And the date i heard for Tyson was june 20th
What's going on Giant One? i might have to check that Bowe fight out. that's the 25th of what month?
Wassup man, I would like to see the stuff you have, Do you have a site or list?...I'm a graphics-minded person, an those DVD's from SuperBoutking are pretty hard to top...imo..
i'm actually working on my site now. i had planned to have it up by now, but i have a regular 9-to-5, am married with a daughter so, time to work on the site has been limited. i have a couple of ads posted in the new boxing scene classified and auction section with screenshots of menus, disc graphics and actual video screenshots. email me an address and i'll send you a DVD. let me know what you think.
as i said in an earlier post, Super is cool with me and he has good stuff. i work in video production and dvd authoring for a living so, i know a few tricks...
you can go to www.fightcardproductions.com and sign up to be notified when the site goes live...i'm praying that'll be this week. since you're a graphics-minded person, i would pay careful attention to how a person's site looks to get an indication of how their DVD menus look. i could tell you some stories about some of the DVDs i've bought in the past!
Hey fightcard, can you answer my thread on 'boxing promotions'
what's happening BostonGuy? unfortunately, i'm not equipped to answer your questions regarding boxing promotions. Fight Card Productions is a boxing media services venture. i produce boxing DVDs, and provide media services to boxing video collectors such as vhs-to-dvd conversions, etc.
there is an up-and-coming promotion outfit here in the DC Area that you might want to contact. go to www.ragingpromotions.com to get their contact info.
I think fightcardproductions.com makes the best qualities DVDs bar none with prices that can't be beat! With excellent quality, bullet fast service, there's no reason to go anywhere else. Visit fightcardproductions NOW!
hahaha! thanks m00ks. you just earned a free DVD and entry in the April/May contest to win an XBOX with Fight Night Round 2. i'll send you a coupon code for the DVD so when i FINALLY finish my website, you can go and pick out a fighpzout!
I have bought from a few place, but imo the best are from SuperboutKing, I got all of Cotto's fight from them...they got some sick interactive motion menus with music..
wassup borikua? Super has some nice stuff. i bought a couple of DVDs from him a while back before I started making them myself (no, i'm not selling his stuff!). he's a cool guy too. his video is sharp and menus are better than a DVD recorder. he uses a template-driven software that kind of limits your menu creation but as i said in my response to MilkMan, if you're not a graphics-minded person, that won't matter.
i guess i'll be the voice of opposition. Rahman beats Klitschko. Klitschko is robotic in his movements and slow and lumbering with his punches and seemed to be out of breath by the 2nd round of his fight against Williams. Rahman, on the other hand, can move, can punch and will take it to Klitschko. now, if Rahman gets careless and caught with something early, it'll change everything, but i think he'll fight a smart fight and take the title by majority decision.
Man, I heard Tyson was being trained by Duran, Fenech, Roach. That he was changing careers to Muy Thai instead of boxing, that he was gonna commentate instead. I don't know wassap anymore.
m00ks - i hear you. it seems that everyday the news is different. i read a while ago that Tyson was with McGirt also.
I got the Martinez fight in pretty good quality, I just sold the whole trinidad career for 15...My quality is superb, ask my customers...But their is a Classifieds section for this all of the other sellers got heat for doing what you are doing in the OG classified section...Be careful, I warned you.
you're right spinks. all further talk about DVDs from me will be discussed in the ads section. not trying to circumvent the rules. thanks for the information.
I would like to point out:
G.O.A.T. is an acryonym for "Greatest of All Time". The other option was great, and the topic starter did not choose either. :D
Lennox Lewis: "Great or Not Great".
the title of this post ("Lennox Lewis: Great or Goat?") was meant to be an eye-catcher that expresses the range of perceived worth or greatness (or lack thereof) of Lennox Lewis. opinions can fall anywhere along the gamut between great and goat. responders can say he's "swell" or he's a "cold fish". whatever pleases.
i am aware of the Greatest of all time acronym (G.O.A.T.). There's only one of those. don't be confused...G.O.A.T. is not an option when talking about Lennox Lewis. no disrespect to the former champ, but anyone saying he's the greatest of all times must be a relative.
i didn't express my opinion using the words "great" or "goat" per se, but i did give my opinion: I don't think he was all that great. further, he was a good heavyweight. to me, his performances in the ring didn't warrant the "great" moniker. Ali was great. he would've embarrassed Lewis.
I see this is being a pretty slow defensive fight. Taylor is big and stong and has the strong jab.
What is also interesting is that they are both 6'1, but Taylor looks about 20 pounds heavier than Hop.
It looks like I am in the minority here, but I think that Hop needs a guy to come after him so Hop can pot shot and counter all night.
If this was 2-3 years ago, Hop KO 8-9, but in June or July, Taylor doesn't do anything stupid and wins the UD and everyone talks about how old and washed up Hop was when Taylor beats him.
i agree with your statement about Hopkins pot-shotting Taylor all night, but i have to jump ship after that. someone made a valid point that Taylor is in the position where he pretty much has to fight Hopkins or lose a lot of respect. i don't think he wants this.
Hopkins beats you as much mentally as he breaks you down physically. Hopkins is a master at psychological warfare. the man is brilliant when it comes to taking you out of your fight plan. look what he did to Trinidad. that fight was over when the PR flag was thrown down. if Taylor has reservations going into the ring with Hopkins, it's over already.
Larry "I'm so deep" Merchant and Jim "60 Minutes Wannabe" Gray (or is that Grey?) are the rudest commentators i've seen..heard. seen and heard.
It was always funny hearing Merchant and Big George go at it during a telecast and, as was mentioned in an earlier post, Roy Jones took a shot at Merchant's lack of inside-the-ring experience during the Pac-Mor fight. Makes you wonder what they all think of each other off camera. it seems Merchant isn't anyone's favorite.
Why not just buy like a DVD recorder then record it yourself.
what's going on MilkMan? DVD recorders do a great job of recording fights. the video is sharp if you don't try to cram a whole lot on one dvd. the drawback is there's no flexibility in terms of menus. there's a simple button on a colored field. if this doesn't matter to you, i'd say go with the recorder. personally, i want a nice menu with graphics and audio similar to the hollywood dvd releases and also chapter points at the beginning of each round so i can go where i want to go in the fight.
If u sell dvds I was wondering if u have Chavez vs Mario Martinez?
what's going on Brown Bomber? i don't have that fight, but i can get it if you're interested in it. i focus on newer fights because i can record them digitally, but am expanding my collection of older fights. drop me a note if you want that.
