I think the photos look very very real.
My only doubt is to why Oscar would allow so many photos to be taken. And actually pose for them. Especially when every week there is a new celebrity sex tape osted on the net.
Is Oscar really that dumb?? What drugs were he on???
Its very questionable that a guy with so much to lose would of posed for such fucked up pictures. Yet they do look real.
The answer to why Oscar would allow it is in his eyes. He's drunk as shit in those photos.
I'm glad to see BoxingScene has the guts to allow such a thread to exist. DogHouseBoxing.com is closing any thread that starts related to "Goldie". They've blindly declared the photos fake. Why?
Look, the dinosaurs in King Kong and JP and the robots in Transformers looked real. These are very easy to pick apart, and to tell where they were doctored. Also, some of the pics you can see the fine crop wedge where his face was placed in, and his face was manipulated. Also, his face tones, and his red eye, does not match the flash on the girls faces. But, people will say, and believe what they want, so, you cant change anything.
Then find just one of the original photos from which these images were supposedly made...
Just find one! Make sure you take a break to eat, sleep and shower during your search.
Because at the time Margorito offered him 8 million, he'd just bought himself from his contract with Bob Arum so that he could pursue Oscar for double that. You see, Bob Arum and Oscar were at odds with one another and Floyd felt as though that fight would never happen with Arum as his promoter. He also told Arum why fight Margorito for 8 when I can get 20 for DLH. Arum's 8 was more to distract him from the DLH fight than anything. Not that Arum wouldn't have paid it though.
I think we both know that there was no guarantee for the DLH/PBF when PBF severed ties with Arum. So, yes, he hedged a bet and won. But that doesn't mean he couldn't have fought Margarito for the 8 mil, then fought DLH for even more than 20 mil. I don't think there's any way to spin this given that he previously fought the following for no money:
Carlos Baldomir
Zab Judah
Sharmba Mitchell
Arturo Gatti
Henry Bruseles
PBF earned nothing in the way of respect for fighting these guys. Beating Margarito at that time would have given him great respect as well as more leverage at the bargaining table vs. DLH. The truth, in my opinion, was Margarito simply wasn't worth the risk, from a P4P perspective or losing his undefeated record. That's ducking in my book. But I don't fault him. PBF is clear that he's all about the money, so he's achieving his goals. I think the GOAT talk is a front. Padding his record with non-quality opposition will not earn him P4P of all time. Margarito is still a threat in my book but he was replaced as the greater threat by PWillie.
but he fought the linear champ in baldomir for the same amount he woulda got for marg, and baldomir jus beat zab and gatti, and he had a cinderella story going, and WAY more people knew him than marg, so i dont call that ducking, i call it smart decision making. floyd beat the linear WW champ and gets a shot at DLH, makes alot of sense. or, if floyd beats a version of a WW champ and then gets dlh would raise questions along the lines of "mayweather beat a nobody why should he fight dlh, he never beat the real champ.." and so on and so on, so floyd and his team made the right decisions in fighting bald instead of marg.
What's "smart decision making" when it comes to P4P GOAT? No one will ever look at Ray Robinson's career and say he made some "smart decisions" about his opposition. He fought all comers.
I didn't suggest that he fight Margarito instead of Baldomir. Fight both, clear out the division, stake your claim as P4P greatest of all time.
Again, Floyd focus is cash, not prestige. So, in his quest for cash, he's been smart. In his quest for greatness, he has not.
How??? Marg was virually unknown to the general public. His biggest win was against a green Cintron. The only thing Marg had going for him is his Promoter who wanted to get back at Floyd for leaving him.
There's the public and there's the boxing community. The public didn't know Margarito, but the boxing community knew him well enough. Name a boxing forum that wasn't flooded with messages calling out this fight after he beat Cintron. And if we're playing the "Who" game, who's Carlos Baldomir? who's Sharmba Mitchell? who's Henry Bruseles?
Maybe the question should be "Can Paul Williams beat PBF?" cause why would Floyd even consider fighting Margarito now?? I've been reading threads for months from Margarito lovers, No, scratch that, Mayweather HATERS, that Floyds ducking the man, Floyd wouldn't stand a chance, blahblahblah yakitty schmakitty!! I'm glad Floyd decided to wait & see who the cream of the crop is, if he walked in & whooped a cat that any of these up & comers could whoop, ya'll still wouldn't give him his propers. Lets wait & see who can beat @ least 3/4 guys in the top ten b4 we call for Floyd, he needs this time off to spend some of that scrilla. Now can u Dig Dat!?!?!:boxing:
I agree with you, however Floyd was a bit inconsistent with his choice of opposition. If he could fight Zab and Baldomir for no money and meaningless belts, then why not fight a Margarito for a mere $8 million?
carlos baldomir is the guy who beat zab and gatti convincingly.
sharmba mitchell is a former world champion and well known and respected.
who's margarito again??
Again, if he's a nobody, then why not fight a nobody for $8 mil? How much did PBF earn for Bruseles? The spin won't work on me. PBF is a great fighter, but he's cherry pickin' his opposition.
y not fight a somebody for 8 mil instead??
how much did he make against bruseles?? i have no idea...
I'm not sure Ricky Hatton will be much of a threat to PBF at 147, but let's hope it's at least a more entertaining fight than the DLH bout.
I've been to a site called Fightjudge recently, and while it's a cool site where you can do scorecards I have seen some crazy scores out there.
Here are examples:
*115-113 for Kessler over Calzaghe
*118-110 for Oscar over Floyd
*120-109 for Bernard over Winky
*116-112 for Soto over Guzman
And then are the official judges who scored it for Casamayor over Santa Cruz and that idiot who scored it for Holyfield over Lewis.
Are people really this bad at scoring fights? I mean it's not that hard to screw up that many obvious rounds is it?
You must have seen Dave Murphy's scorecard:
http://www.fightjudge.com/images/scorecard_generator/256/260/scorecard.png
After the fight, he claimed how much he hated Calzaghe.
That's the person I was talking about.
The thing is, I chatted with him during Marquez-Vazquez 3 and he seemed like a pretty cool dude. How he got that score is beyond me though.
Also how did you paste other people's scorecards on here? I can only do mine.
You have to know their member number. I knew Dave's number.
Dave is a great guy. He's passionate though about the boxers he like and dislike, which affects his scores.
It was really close...I scored it last night on FightJudge.com and my scorecard was a draw too. Here's the majority scorecard:
