Hey guys i read a thread in which they talked about Roy Jones being on steriods which over all lead to his demise. They say since the closing of the balco lab in 2003 Roy has never been the same and i tend to believe this. They talk about who Roy's chin suddenly turned to glass when the balco lab closed and just to throw some other athletes out there look at the demise of these athletes when the lab closed: Sugar Shane Mosley, Roy Jones, Barry Bonds.
Here the website which is on here

Interesting.
I tried to do some research on my own and I did not get a definitive answer. The question is if the chemicals in Ripped Fuel acts in the same way as it does in traditional Anabolic steroids, does that in fact make it a steroid?
So I think at this time it would be fairer to say that Jones was using a banned substance rather than a steroid. It may be splitting hairs, but I think that is the fairest thing to say.
Yeah it sounds to me like the IBF considered alot of banned substances as anabolic steroids. One interesting question is this, if Roy was using the BALCO stuff and getting away with it for years, why would he decide to take a regular steroid and risk getting caught?
Alot of people get mad when I post that Jacob Hall said that the commission considers Ripped fuel an anabolic steroid. But thats just what I read, the link is above.

Wow, now that is something I did not know. From everything I read while Ripped Fuel and/or sinus medication can in fact cause a positive test, it is much different from a positive Anabolic test.
I would like to read the article, not because I don't believe you but I have never seen that. That may change my opinion about this.

I read that he admitted to taking ripped fuel. And believe it or not, the IBF considered that an anabolic steroid. I can show you the article if you don't believe me.

Yes, your right, that is what he he in fact admitted to. I should have been clearer so that was my fault.
But in addition to Ripped Fuel (which was also a banned substance by the IBF but that is neither here nor there) Jones also said claimed that he was on some sort of sinus medication. Both of these items are well known for causing a false test. It’s awfully convenient that Jones had been taking both of these. I’m not saying he lying as I wouldn't call anyone a liar unless I had proof but I do have to admit it is suspicious.
But back to my point, Ripped Fuel can result in a positive steroid test. But remember that Jones was found positive for Anabolic Steroids. That is different. Here is a quote from a doctor regarding the difference:
I will not comment on the situation that took place in Indiana with Roy Jones. I will be glad to answer questions in general. Ripped Fuel is something that is sold over the counter, don't need a prescription for it. There is an ingredient in it that can break down and be measured as steroids but a lab ought to be able to differentiate between that and anabolic steroids. So yes, can Ripped Fuel test positive for steroids? Yes, but only one specific type of steroid.

So again, it does not clear him of the positive Anabolic test.

"Through his attorney, Jones admitted he had been taking an over-the-counter product called Ripped Fuel. That's not illegal but it is an anabolic steroid according to the IBF and other other sanctioning bodies. "-Jacob Hall
Naw im not sayin that Ms. Jones Jr im saying to have amaxzing ability and to just fall off is not normal or maybe it is in your eyes
The guy lost his first fight at 35 freaking years old after being on top for OVER A DECADE. Father time catches up with us all......
No. He admitted to taking Ripped Fuel which is an over the counter supplement that used to contain Androstenediol compounds.
Huge difference between admitting to taking steroids....and admitting to using an OTC supplement.

Amazing ability and just fall off? Yeah, I suppose constant weight fluctuation had nothing to do with it. Even though that's a fact and your little THG fable is just that, a fable. Gee, I wonder how Oscar fell off since he was all of what, 32-33? Or how about Sugar Ray Leonard? Or how about all those other stars who lost between 32-35? Toney and Hops are the exceptions, fool.
Now get outta here with your conspiracy theory. Unless you have FACTS genius. And you must be a kid. Ms. Roy Jones? STFU.
Exactly. And people say well he look unreal against Ruiz, why does he suddenly suck? Remember that Ruiz, although he was the bigger man, hes nothing special in the talent department. Roy with all his talent, would obviously make Ruiz look like a fool. Tarver's another story because he was very hungry, a soutpaw and a good counter puncher. Plus his speed and technique is alot better than John Ruiz. Another thing you have to consider is Roy's motivation to win. After beating Ruiz he seemed uninterested in boxing, he was still doing it but he felt he accomplished everything he wanted. Meanwhile Tarver was at home throwing darts at his picture lol, that probably played a part in his decline.

And your proof that Roy used this is...WHERE? I guess every opponent who lost in 2003 must've been a user. STFU.

Tetrahydrogestrinone
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tetrahydrogestrinone (often referred to as THG or "the clear") is an anabolic steroid. It has affinity to the androgen receptor and the progesterone receptor, but not to the estrogen receptor. The drug has been considered a "designer drug", closely related to the banned anabolic steroids gestrinone and trenbolone, and was banned by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) at the end of 2003.
Anecdotal sources and some unpublished SAR studies report that the potency of the drug is outstanding, surpassing, on a milligram per milligram basis, every known synthesized or commercial available anabolic steroid. It was the drug of choice for safe and "invisible" world record breaking in athletics.
I'm sorry, I missed where they mentioned Roy Jones as a user.
According to you, Jones was dumb enough to use steroids and get caught, then switched to HGH because he wouldn't get caught. Yet somehow never got caught using steroids BEFORE Hall. Do I have this right?
Exactly. LOL. If he was on THG and he wasn't getting caught, why would he start using regular roids? That doesn't make sense.

Dog what the hell r u talkin bout i said THG not HGH

Shane Mosley was the name thrown in the mix in regards to Balco & he took a polygraph test about using HGH & steroids & passed.
Yeah and that IMO cleared Shane of all wrong doing. There's no way to fake those fucking things, they're 99.9999% accurate.

Nobody is testing for Balco, genius. NOBODY. HGH is indetectable in urine. Tests are flawed, at best. So you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Any fighter today could continue using HGH--it's a naturally produced hormone.
You know, you're conspiracy theory might sound better if you did your homework.

Roy Jones Jr. admitted through his attorney that he tested positive and did take steroids. That is a fact.
He has also been rumored to be a client of BALCO. Now, unlike Mosely who was asked to testify before congress there has not been any official verification of this so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. But I will say the fact he has used steroids does not help to refute that he was in fact a client.
Therefore, even the most obstinate fan of his has to admit that it is hard to ignore the connection between his sudden downfall and the recent effort to drive steroids out of professional sports. He still has talent as his last win suggested but nothing like he was, and it was too sudden of a collapse to simply blame on age.
You connect the dots.
Thank you 35 is not really the age where boxer all the sudden crumbles when u got evander, bernard, and toney all doin they thing

Roy Jones has never been implicated in the Balco sting so you have your "facts" mixed up. Shane Mosley was the name thrown in the mix in regards to Balco & he took a polygraph test about using HGH & steroids & passed.
