WAR COBRA!!! Carl did it with George Groves! Joshua needed a Gold medal and the last great HW to beat Froch's record.
lol AJ would sell out Wembley against Haye, Fury or Wilder not Just Wlad.
Joshua Respects him so much, He called Wlad a top 5 all time heavyweight which to me is a push. Does anyone have Wlad in there top 10 let alone top 5? It can only be for longevity.
All time heavyweights I have above him include Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Joe Frazier, Jack Johnson, Mike Tyson, Jack Dempsey, Evander Holyfield, Rocky Marciano, Vitali Klitscko and possibly Sonny Liston.
Joshua wins this. Father Time is undefeated. Wlad didn't look great against Jennings and Fury to add a year and a half of inactivity. I believe Joshua is just to Young, Fast, Powerful and active for Wlad at this point of his career. Joshua should stop him between round 5-8 after some cagey early rounds.
More like......... we better come up with a story coz u ain't selling out the o2 dillian.
Don't be surprised if chisora whyte 2 happens soon
Lol Exactly Chisora is the only guy people wanted to see him fight. I don't know where Hearn got the confidence from thinking Dillian would sell a large amount of tickets headlining against Wach. Only AJ and Haye really sell out the 02.
Joshua destroys Parker regardless. What people need to understand Joshua had never been in the ring with anyone even close to Wlads level and experience.
Of course flaws were going to show but he is only going to get better.
Haye is funny. it was supposed to be him fighting Parker as he was WBO mandatory but chose Bellew in a mismatch just for extra money so Hughie Fury took his spot. He literally came out of retirement for that AJ payday lol.
Canelo v Golovkin is only big with boxing fans. in terms of casual people both are still pretty unknown.
By the time Wilder fights Joshua which probably won't be till the end of 2018 that will be bigger than Canelo v Golovkin.
AJ already a star in the UK/Europe another year and a half he will be a worldwide superstar. Wilder needs more exposure out of Alabama though.
If AJ beats vlad I can see him taking up his ibf mandatory with Pulev, Hearn will be able to work out something with Ortiz seeing as he promotes him and AJ.
Styles makes fights. Just because he struggled with Fury's awkward style, size and reach doesn't mean he was shot or off that day.
UK fans are hilarious. One minute Fury beats Wlad and he was shot. 15 months later Joshua beats an older more ring rusty Wlad and gets more props than Fury ever did.
Joshua VS Gypsy King bring it on. AJ wont lay a hand on the slick gypsy
Thing is over here in the UK fans will base a lot of there opinions based on how they like the fighter as a person.
AJ is the peoples champion over here while Fury is a Villain and hated by many so many people find it hard to give him credit.
I think the way AJ won yesterday played a part aswell because that was 10 times more interesting than Fury v Wlad but Fury deserved more credit than he got.
Anyways AJ v Fury is massive in the UK it would be muchbigger than AJ v Wlad here probably not worldwide though.
Slightly OT question which has probably been discussed somewhere else on the boards, but why is it that so few American fans travel abroad to support their fighters, while British, Irish, Europeans will often travel en masse, sometimes outnumbering the local fans? Is it something to do with American sports culture - like, their main sports are all pretty much domestic affairs - or is it a financial issue, or something else?
It must be a cultural thing. Even when you watch US sports most teams don't have a huge number of fans who travel to there road games in other cities unlike the UK where teams will always have a large number of fans who travel around the country to support there teams.
Lol Khan is mind ****ing Brook, he knows exactly what his doing.Even with the 70/30 split Brook would probably still make more against Khan than again Spence as it would be a stadium fight in the UK and do good PPV numbers over here.
Spence is high risk low reward and even if Brook moves to 154 it's again high risk low reward as any of the Charlos, Andrade, Lara and even Trout/Vanes give Brook all he can handle.
Hearn and brooks next move is gonna be interesting.
I ain't surprised. This is the best way to generate money for this fight. Brook is a big draw in Sheffield and he will probably sell out close to the 32,000 capacity.
Trying to sell this as a PPV in May will be quite tough because in the uk we already have Haye-Bellew in March and AJ-Klitschko in April so a ppv in the 3rd back to back month might be a tough sell so generating more money from stadium ticket makes sense instead of Sheffield arena where the capacity is like 13k.
One thing I will say though being from the UK and the crazy atmospheres our boxing events have is that if Spence goes there and wins clearly then he is definitely the truth because it won't be easy.
Lol Wilder knocks him out. This bellew win is being overhyped by Hearn Sky and all these casuals in the Uk. Haye took him 5 rounds after the injury.
This fight would be like the Stevenson fight but only difference is it would be a brutal knockout and not a tko.
Bellew is wbc cruiseweight champ so am guessing it would give him some sort of leverage for a shot at there heavyweight title.
Nobody wants to see this fight. Stiverne knew ortiz would knock him out. Stiverne wudda had to beat Povetkin in eliminator so only right he fights Ortiz. Am guessing him or wilder weren't keen on fighting ortiz though.
He might aswell fight Pulev just to get the mandatory out of the way. He will stop him within 4 rounds.
After he can set up the big fights with Fury/Parker/Wilder
If people think AJ v Wlad is big AJ v Fury in the UK would be 10x bigger than anything we have seen over here. It smashes all record.
It would be huge due to the fact AJ is the peoples hero over here and Fury is a villain the build up would be legendary plus they would both be undefeated if AJ beats Wlad.
The Linares/Garcia fight is a nearly done deal. So why isn't Warren & Flanagan talking Robert Easter Jnr!
Nobody seems to mention Robert Easter his like the forgotten champion of the division.
I wouldn't mind seeing Ortiz-Stevierne fight here in Miami if the WBC asks for it and the Miller fight falls through.
It would makes real sense with all the Cubans and Haitians Miami has.
Wilder should fight Dillian Whyte, that's a recognisable guy who has been active and he did win a wbc title eliminator recently. Hearn would make that fight aswell seeing as Whyte wants it.
Lol he hasn't got a choice as Thurman, Garcia and Pacman won't be available for May. If you can fight Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier then you can fight Spence, he is more known than all of them put together.
Porter and GGG are the only well known fighters his fought his whole career.
At 154 he will struggle to beat any of the Charlos, Andrade and Lara.
I knew this guy was never gonna shut up if he wins.. wilder knocks him out if that happens. At cruiserweight I believe the other guys like Usyk, Gassiev and Lebedev beat him.
It's gonna be interesting to See what AJ does next if he wins there's so many options. He can Unify with wilder or parker have an ibf or wba mandatory with pulev or ortiz or a huge money making domestic match up with Haye or Fury if he comes back.
To be honest if AJ only plans to fight twice a year it has to be meaningful fights. Pulev wouldn't be great to end the year although I wouldn't mind if he Vacates and defends WBA mandatory against Ortiz.
Next year if possible the 2 fights has to be Fury and Wilder.
That was pathetic from Price. His level of Stamina and fitness for professional fighter was terrible. I don't think his dedicated to a sport and have heard a few ppl in his home city Liverpool say he loves a drink even during training camp. Boxing ain't a game.
The thing is when he lost to Thompson and Teper he blamed drugs and people kinda gave him a pass but against Hammer I just think he has been exposed for what he really is. It's good he didn't get that AJ fight in December as that cudda ended in a sad way.
Hearn is so shook to make the Flanagan that would sell big in Manchester. Both went same school. Ones a red ones a blue plus it would be for a world titleso how is that not the same level of draw. crolla would be way to small at light welterweight.
Am not surprised Brook and Hearn obviously weighed up there options and realised they would need to keep IBF belt for a possible pacman fight down the line or even leverage in Khan negotiations while also having the chance to fight the Thurman/Garcia winner.
The only money fight there would be at 154 is Cotto and it's unlikely Brook gets that fight while Canelo will probly be 160 for good.
People Say Spence is high risk low reward but the rewards of winning that outweighs the rewards of fighting and winning against the Charlos/Andrade/Lara at 154 who Brook would struggle with deeply.
