Its funny how they cant see that its all and **act** for the cameras to sell tickets.
they keep saying how hes way too arrogant and disrespectful like for the de la hoya fight but they forget the part in the end where they hugged.
they say he disrespects his opponents like Gatti when calling them C-Class fighters but forget when he said after the fight that it was all just to see tickets
they blow up every arrogant thing he says in the media but when he does nice things like read to kids, donate to charity or asks Khan for his picture they conveniently ignore it
yes hes naturally cocky and childish but a bad person he is not
these people are the same people that called Shane Mosley a liar and a cheat for the balco shit and felt stupid after the cotto post-fight interview
just stfu already - mayweather is good for the sport and it was his fight with dlh that had started the ball rolling for 2007 as a great boxing year and he will close it with the hatton fight
What do you mean asks Khan for his picture?
That's HBO's way of saying they're going to give the big fights to Kellerman, while Merchant gets the scraps. Until Larry gets tired of it and quits.
Yer that wouldn't suprise me
LOL at Kellerman loving Mayweather more than Mayweather.
Although I didn't know that, I suspected it when I watched Lampley and Steward talking at the Cotto/Mosley fight. Steward took the time to ask Kellerman whether he'd still consider Floyd the best even if he'd duck the winner of the bout. Kellerman said he would.
As much as I want Floyd to win this fight, I don't want to have a nuthugger commentator on the broadcast. Oh, God. Almost makes me wanna' see Hatton KO PBF just to hear a dramatic "NOOOOOOO!!!" from Kellerman as he storms into the ring and security restrains him. The camera switches to Larry Merchant (who's in the crowd) making his way to the commentator's table to take Kellerman's spot.
Lampley: "And now joining us, amidst all the chaos...is Larry Merchant. Larry, good to have you back with us."
Merchant: "Jim.......I think this can be considered.........as one of the most frenzy............chaotic moments........simultaneously in.....and out of the ring."
Steward: "Couldn't have it said better myself. That Kellerman is one crazy a** son of a bit**!"
PRICELESS. I would buy it just to see that live.
LOL that would be quality!!
I pray that Merchants gets this, I don't really like him to call any fight but a Mayweather fight oh dear....He clearly adores Mayweather.
I believe it will like Barrera-Pacquiao 2 when both got the equal amount of cheers. AMericans like myself will probably support Mayweather due to the nationality of both fighters. But then some americans dont generally like Mayweather like when most of the MGM Grand booed him against Oscar. I still think Mayweather fans will be the loudest
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA......... OMG PLEASE BE KIDING
LOL know Ricky Hattons camp was given 3,800 tickets to distrbute in a ballot. But the rest are being bought by people from the UK on the american ticketmaster for Willcall (they pick them up at the MGM grand on the day of the fight). Alot of people from UK buying from ticket touts and expensive travel packages(flights and fight tickets). Consequently there will be much much more than 3,800 Hatton fans in the arena, maybe two thirds will be people travelling from the UK.
"I think people see me as just one of the lads," said Hatton. "Financially, I've done fantastically well. I have a nice home, a place in Tenerife, two good cars and I can go on holiday whenever I want. But I don't flash my money, unlike Mayweather. I think to do that belittles people. Perhaps that's a reason why a lot of the American public want me to win this fight."
Mayweather often wears jewellery alone that is worth a million dollars, he is 'Mr Bling' personified.
To Hatton, none of this has any importance. He just wants to be responsible for his downfall as a fighter, to leave him as one more busted games player looking at the stars from the gutter.
"Getting to Las Vegas has put an extra spring in my step," said Hatton. "It would be massive to be the best. I can't find the words to express what that would mean to me."
Should he beat the house odds, place a small wager that Ricky Hatton, man of the people, will find an appropriate speech here in 13 days' time.

I always liked to watch Paez and Mayorga, I like to watch Ponce De Leon nowadays, something very awkward about him.
Yer I know what you mean, he kinda tries to "thump" his opponents with his hands rather than punch them with his fists.
I know what you mean about his concerntration rarely takes his eyes off his opponent for a second. Also I have heard I certain commentator suggest he may practice yoga or some sort of special breathing exercises because of the way he fights in bursts, controls the action and never gasses out.
we are, but in sports, we are big rivals mostly in boxing, since thats the only sport we compete in on a high level.
but even if i was to mention say, football, it wouldnt matter since england beat us in our last friendly, but with england looking like complete crap against croatia and other low level teams in the euro qualifier, even team USA might beat them in their current state.
That wouldn't suprise me.
Ricky isnt nny he thins he is but hes not.. watch his face after the fight..it gunna be tore up boy
Ricky is funny, you just haven't got a sense of humour......boy!!!
Love to see Calzaghe/Pavlik if possible at 175lbs, I really believe Joe when he says he will be even better at light heavy. Also winner of Hatton/Mayweather facing Cotto would make sense.
they weren't broken http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Luis_Castillo
proof enough?
I am willing to bet you or one of the other Hatton haters edited that bit about broken ribs....... sad:nonono:
"Hall (Nevada states head of dopking) stated during interview that Jones had tested positive for anabolic steroids use when the two met back in May of 2000.
Hall stated "I now tender my resignation he (Mr Jones) has now failed four doping test (97,98,00 x2) they have also lost seven of Mr Roy Jones samples. I have written to both the NewYork and Nevada state athletic commisions stating that he (Jones) has tested positive for Testosterone Enanthate at least four times, his serum levels were 100x that of normal levels."
when pressed into the effect that would have on his performances he added: "Its like he is taking a machine gun into a knife fight his strentgh and speed would be too much for two men to overcome".
ROY JONES JR. IS IN DENIAL
By Elisa Harrison

MIAMI, FLA.
When questioned about his lack luster form in training Roy Jones seemed lost for words and so he should. This is his first bout since the new approved commissioned human growth hormone test is being used. Anthony Hall the former head of doping was newly re-appointed after being proven right in the James Toney case (See appendix 43) has demanded weekly tests for Testosterone and groth hormone for Roy Jones Jr.
Mr Hall has claimed and shown undeniable evidence of irregular testosterone levels in mr Roy Jones, who has claimed that it was suppliments that caused the spike in his serum levels. Those claim have been squashed by male hormone experts who called them farsicle.
I caught up with Mr Hall during my stay in Las Vegas last week and he stated: "This is the first fight that we are able to put together a testing regime foolproof to any comebacks. Its the same regime mr Jones took part in back in 97 but this time it has a government seal on it, his lawyers or anybodies lawyers for that matter can contest." When pushed by his distain for Jones he added: " I and the rest of the Nevada and New York state know that he (Roy Jones) was using illegal means going into all of his fight from 1996 FACT." a loophole and good lawyers got him off." When i pushed Hall about the statements hes made he said: "Look its in black and white every fight since 1996 we tested his serum testosterone levels they were through the roof. Now those tests which are 99.9% accurate were called wrong i will be intrested to see how he performes in his next bout if his performance levels stay the same then i say hes still a cheat, but i have a feeling he (Roy Jones) will not be able to sustain the level of performance without using these hormones"
"Lets see how he does in the Tarver bout"
Hardly incentive for him to stop though, I can drink later instead of now. Wouldn't you want a break after 3-4 months of extensive training and getting down to a specific weight?
Yer I suppose, but I just want him to retire from boxing with a couple more decent wins under him and then relax.
His last fight against fight against michael sprott was nearly unwatchable, absolute shite, the next skelton fight should be PPV, as in frank warren pays me to watch that shit.
:lol1:
Yer I remember that, it was just before the Khan fight, the whole of the O2 arena in London were booing and chanting "Whatta loada rubbish". Not a great advert for the sport of boxing.
Showtime had it on tonight. Had some interesting behind the scenes stuff. Anybody check it out?
Don't get showtime in the UK, I hope someone uploads it.
