rd 5 castillo applying pressure to the body, starting to take effect on Morel. A couple of huge overhand rights landed. Morel also landing a good right hand which causes a cut to castillo above the eye.
10-9 Castillo 50-45
rd 6 Morel dropping his hands now, constant hooks to the body starting to take effect. Morel should be applying the jab to work on castillos cut. castillo picks up the pace landing consistently to the head as morel lowers his hands.
10-9 castillo 60-53
rd 3 starts with a flurry morel comes out firing... both swinging haymakers. Castillo more effcient. A great round, castillo landing a few big right hands.
10-9 castillo 30-27
I wouldn't be surprised if he kept boxing to 40 like hopkins. He doesn't rely on speed, so it is foreseable that he could be around for a little while yet.
Judah KO's Rivera in 3!
Limited opponent I know, but considering the guy was known as a power puncher and looked bigger than Judah I think it was very impressive showing. Will delahoya want to fight judah after this performance? I think judah would have to start favourite over DLH. DLH doesnt believe in tune ups, it might be wise he takes one on the back of that showing from supa juhah!
Is it just me or does tito look a little out of shape on the edges? Just saw some footage of him in the locker room and he doesn't look as mean and lean as previous. I was favouring tito, but am not sure he's taking wright seriously.
This would be a great fight for Cotto. A great test. I was very impressed with Witter's win over N'dou. He has fought well in the last 2 years and seems to have gathered the momentum he had before he fought Judah. I think it's hattons rise that has elevated witter to next level, and for this I think this is a real pick em fight.
I'd personally prefer to see Sturm v Hopkins. Its a better fight than a Taylor v Hopkins. Taylor is still 1 or 2 fights away from being competitive against hopkins. Taylor needs to step up the quality of opposition.
I think Lacy would stop Calzaghe! I definitely think Calzaghe is well past his peak, he should have had a defining fight back then. Getting knocked down by the eygptian who isn't even rated is a sign of worst things to come. Calzaghe is only topping the division with his undefeated record. I'd favour Beyer, Green, and Mundine all to beat Calzaghe today, 2 years ago perhaps not.
not really win or lose people want to see him fight, he made 8 million from his last fight, Tyson was also in jail think about the money he could of made if he didnt go to jail
fair point. But pity its the non hardcore boxing fraternity that pay to see this guy fight. Most non boxing fans would choose a Tyson v Neilsen fight over Pacman Morales this week.
I certainly think Felix sturm would trouble Vargas. Vargas is ring rusty and hasn't really won against a world class operator since his win over Quartey. I rate Sturm a very accomplished boxer and one that would trouble vargas. Sturm by UD for me.
Frank Warren runs a monopoly in UK boxing to the detriment of world class UK fighters such as Hatton and Calzaghe. He protects his fighters as the the likes of hatton and calzaghe always sell out arenas ensuring Warren walks away with a healthy pay packet as a promoter. British fans have longed seeing these guys fight world class opponents. Unfortunately Warren is happier these guys fighting C and D class fighters, building up a 40-0 record and bringing home the cash than seeing them face world class american fighters.
If I were Amir Khan's adviser I would tell him to go start his professional career in US for a good crack at a decent career.
