if grappling it so great in real fight why these MMA fighters spend 80 percentage of time pretty much boxing,
because nobody wouldn't watch if they would tho what they do best.
that's why the rules of boxing have been made, stop wrestling happening.
no wrestling or clinchin like the rules said.
UFC it's just wwe taking step further, former wrestlers swinging wildly, maybe entertaining but not real sport.
And that brawl after the fight was "just" punching, no fancy ninja moves.
That fight was more entertaining than Canelo/Kovalev lmao. That whole card was great actually.
Imagine saying guys that would quickly and easily beat boxers 90% of the time under most rulesets (or no rules at all) are not "real fighters", this is the level of desperation and delusion people have to resort to to cope with the UFCs existence lol.
if boxing sucks so much why 80% action in ufc is c-class wannabe boxing.
Because nobody would watch some grappling matches no matter how effective is it.
And Gatti vs Ward vas more entertaining than Canelo vs Kovalev still they both were b-class fighters so being entertaining really doesn't mean anything.
If these ufc entertainers would do what they do best that nobody would watch.
On top of that we don't see proper fights any more.
I'm in it for maximum violence. Boxing doesn't deliver that very often.
Fighters die in boxing, the violence in boxing is very different level in boxing than ufc.
it just doesn't look that bad, but the actual damage done is different thing.
Lets put it this way, Canelo got paid $35m for his last fight, and ended up sitting backstage for an extra 45 mins so that a UFC fight between two guys being paid $500k each could end and not cut into his potential viewership...
And the entertaining moments in that fight were c-class wannabe boxing, two guys throwing weak slow arm punches and rest of the time stalling in gage.
These guys aren't real fighters they are just entertainers like WWE wrestlers.
Nothing wrong to entertain people but should not even compare to real sports.
80% of time these ufc fights are pretty much b-class wannabe boxing matches, i can understand why it's entertaining but it is more
of wwe taking step further than real sport.
And thats why it's always be compared to boxing.
if these guys in ufc would do what they do best (grappling, wrestling)nobody would watch.
Punk has dabbled training with the Gracies for years .
Half those wrestlers with no fighting experience would fare better than Mayweather just on the physical strength and grappling base .
Mayweather has no idea what hes getting into !Its NO different than Toney who trained for Couture who thought he can train for 6 months and know it all .........
if anyone truly believes Mayweather will put in the work necessary to what MMA consists of to his usual babying in his Mayweather club , they have no idea what preparing for a cage fight consists of .
They will SURELEY appoint a safe training regimen and half azz it ,bc im telling you now , if he actually trains to what TOP MMA guys do ,and thats leaving the gym bruised and worn on a daily basis ......he will QUIT and fake an injury calling the fight off .
only thing i have seen this mma fighters, is pitty patty technical sparring.
Boxers work lot harder than this mma guys.
MMA is not real sport it's wwe taking step further, 90% of time it's just wannabe b-class boxing.
and the only reason people watch that is the boxing part, and thats why it's compared to boxing.
saying conor had elite striking it's like saying Mayweather had elite wrestling because he clinches in boxing.
MMA is 90% of time only b-class wannabe boxing, thats why people watch it.
and thats why the boxing comparison always comes up.
Boxers maybe doesn't know grappling or wrestling, but they doesn't try to those things.
if MMA fighters would do what they do best (grappling) nobody would watch.
And boxing rules was made for because it's doesn't happen naturally, fights many time turned in the wrestling match.
and thats something that people dont wanna watch, idea of boxing rules is force people tho fight and eliminate grappling and wrestling.
