UFC President Dana White is daring Floyd Mayweather Jr. to follow through with his promise of confronting and slapping UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.
In the last few weeks, Mayweather Jr. released a variety of videos where he was verbally blasting McGregor. The two fighters have been trading words in the press since the start of the year.
Mayweather even contacted UFC fighter Nate Diaz via video chat - and promised to finish off McGregor. In what was considered to be a big upset, Diaz made McGregor tap out in their initial meeting earlier this year. McGregor got revenge in their rematch, going through a vicious war to win a close decision on the cards.
Mayweather, who retired last September from boxing, made several threats of planning to smack McGregor in the face when they see each other in the street.
“I don’t give a f*** what night it was, I ain’t never taking no L. I’m f***ing McGregor up too. Punk-a** McGregor… I’m gonna slap McGregor. I’m gonna slap the s**t out of McGregor when I see him,” Mayweather said.
White dares Mayweather to follow through with his threat. He says McGregor will not only wipe the floor with Mayweather - he will also beat down Floyd's entire security team.
"Let me tell you what... you've interviewed Floyd right? You had the camera down here [to the ground] right? He's about this tall. His hands are like peanut brittle, he has to wrap them about ten times so he don't break his hands. Floyd better hope he don't run into Conor in the street. Not only will Conor kick his ass, he'll kick the sh*t out of everyone of his security guards too - 100%. I would love to be there when Floyd tries to slap Conor McGregor. I promise you Floyd you will never try to walk up and slap Conor McGregor and you know it too," White told TMZ.
"That fight [between them] will happen before Floyd tries to walk up and slap Conor. He would kick his head into another planet and then murder every one of his security guards. He's stepping way over if he thinks he's going to slap Conor."
