Filipinos claimed Donaire? that's news to me, because didnt they slam him for his feud with his father? Also how come Nonito can never sell out a small stadium? He fought in Carson with a lot of filipinos in that area but sold 800 tickets that doesn't sound like they embraced him. Viloria is not really Filipino the guy claimed he was Hawaiian during the Olympics and never mentioned his Filipino side, that is why I was shocked that guy was Filipino, I used to call him the smallest Hawaiian I ever seen lol, his nickname is the Hawaiian Punch and Viloria only recently started claiming filipino when Pacquiao blew up in 2004 and was getting famous selling out the mgm grand as a featherweight. I As for Donaire not becoming equally famous as Pacquiao.... As exciting and sensational a fighter Donaire is, he deserves so much recognition. However, in order for him to be famous, he has to be well-promoted and one way is to showcase him in a "big" fight, like a Pacquiao fight undercard so he can receive more exposure. But it has never happened.

How can I be a hypocrite when I basically said neither guy is really embraced? Donaire couldn't even sell out the home depot center in carson california which has a heavy filipino population. And Philippines is very proud of them for the glory that they gave the country. However, of course, not in the same level as Pacquiao is. Maybe Pacquiao was so much loved by the Filipinos since the time that he was making waves in the US because of his mentality of giving all he got to great lengths as "dying in the ring" in order to make a name for his country. Seconded only by his known generosity to the less fortunate.

If you are a true boxing fan you will agree with this. i agree with all the tests for an even playing field, although i personally think that the frequency may put a little risk on the fighter when a fighter trains. blood clots travel when you move, especially when you do strenuous activities, and it could go to the lungs, to the heart or the brain. i think it would be better that after the test, the fighter take a rest (no training) for a day or two, coz i don't think the blood clots dissolve easily. but then, it's just me. i can't impose my will on anyone if a fighter doesn't wanna agree for his own personal reasons, i don't take it against them. but i personally think that pacquiao and freddy roach are not cheaters. i cannot speak so much of roach than i can speak for pacquiao because we know pacquiao. as a boxer, he's never been a cheater in and out of the ring and i don't think he would go as far as cheating to win, aside from the fact that steroids are not known to us in the philippines. with the fighters who cheated that roach trains, i don't think roach would impose on his fighters to cheat. i don't think, that's the way he is. they might have done it all by themselves and i don't think they would tell roach, or even anyone, that they are doing it (doping). as for justine fortune i don't know him. as for alex ariza, i am not so sure about him, honestly.

Boxing is not much popular here in the Philippines unless he fights. He lacks knowledge with a lot of things so it's not surprising he is ignorant of a whole lot of things. He can't even answer very well and couldn't really understand the questions very well during post-fight interviews and i feel for him. If there were miscommunications among Team Pacquiao to Top rank promoter about the reason Pac doesn't like OST close to the fight, it's because there are no coordination among them. Pacquiao never said he is afraid of needles because he never was, proof is his tattoes. You can never find a video of him stating likewise because he never said that. Maybe Arum insinuated that thing because Pacquiao said he doesn't like to be blood-extracted on the fight night or close to the fight for fear of weakness. And that is not an excuse.
