he wanted to be just outside of that range (where he can be tied up)
so he's not really an infighter
he wants to keep his hands free.
if he's in a clinch he's usually working against gravity (these guys can lean on him and he cant lean on them)
so he can let the ref break them
and he can go back to where he does his best work
which is when he's coming in and using feints and head movement to get inside of opponents offense but far enough away to get max leverage on his punches and keep those hands free

These 2 fighters are an absolute disgrace to boxing and should be banned for life and as for the security and promoters such as that scumbag frank warren . You couldnt be more wrong nothing like this has ever happened in boxing. Haye clearly glassed Chisora and Booth was glassed by one of Chisora's entourage. Also after Chisora was glassed by Haye he picked up a glass bottle with the intention of glassing Haye . Its not only the brawl that was bad but the fact that the security was was so bad and that Warren and Vitals promotor were egging Chisora on to go down to Haye. Also the tripod that Haye threw it could of seriously injured someone . There is no excuse for both fighters behaviour last night , both men are thugs and should never be allowed box again. You cant honestly compare this incident to Ali and Frazier . Ali and Frazier was a publicity stunt neither man threw a punch and they were only fined to make it seem a legitimate brawl . I am sure both were refunded after the fight.

This was just about the most exciting thing that has happened in HW boxing for years. Good or Bad, you can't deny its sparked some life into a dead division.
Really . Maybe for the casual fans, but I am a real boxing fan and I want to see real boxing not two guys acting tough and glassing each other. You know the most exciting time in boxing was when Tyson was champ in the eighties and he didnt go around brawling with his opponents , glassing them , throwing cameras at them and threatening to shoot them . Yes he did those things when he was a washed up fighter and he had become a caricature of himself . But when he was champion he let his fists to the talking . He didnt trash talk because he didnt need to and it didnt make his fights any less exciting , infact it made his fights even more exciting because there was no gimmickry. Sure Haye is a great showman and talks a good fight but when he gets in to the ring he is a no show. He is a bluffer, a spoofer , a cheat , a conman. He is just like all those crooked politicians and spoofers you meet in real life who lie and cheat there where to the top . How any real boxing fan can be excited about what happened last night is beyond me . How is last night not anything other than another black eye for boxing. This sport has been seriously declining in popularity for the past decade. I would think that ALL or at least MOST of Tyson's sparring would have consisted od practicing certain moves over and over. I recall Rooney talking about it one time that they had a code, and each punch or move was referred to by a number, and he would, when neccessary, call out "15, 7, 31," etc. and Tyson was so well drilled that he would automatically produce the punch or movement immediately.
