it was very nice match...i enjoyed it watching with my little child, he was very excited before this match,
Good to hear you share your good times with your child. Sounds like a close family.
Excellent point. He is not even an average translator. HBO doesnt even notices it. They just assume he is doing it right. I remember after the Mayweather vs Marquez fight, Marquez wanted to say something and the translator was not clpse by, so they asked a camera man to translate and he was doing a better job than him. Never saw him do a good translation.
The guy from Argentina who tramslated after the Martinez vs Williams fight was a professional translator. What a difference.
George Foreman was a bit more objective than the rest. HBO commentators don't narrate fights. They are talking about other things until something happends, then Lampley interrupts to comment on a knock down or something, and even then, he is comparing the moment to another fight. (The ko of Rahman vs Lewis 1st fight - as Lewis is being counted out, he is talking about when Oliver McCall koed Lewis instead of narrating the present action).
If you watch fights from other countries and even in different languages, you hear the fight being narrated as it is happening with the right blows being described. Another thing, HBO is bias and their comments are in favor of who they want to win, exagerating their favorite's actions and many times keeping quiet when "their" opponent is doing something good.
Bute was too protected. Always fighting at home, with his crowd, his judges and referees who did everything in his favor. Now that things were different, he did not have those advantages and he lost officialy but not for the first time realistically. If he fights another good fighter away from home again, he will have to win for real without the advantage of a gift. He was not used to that.
