Khan looks big at 140, he wouldn't look too healthy dropping back down. But when he's got the likes of Bradley, Alexander, Ortiz etc.. rolling around his weight, then can we have another order of 'duck' please.
I really do hope Paulie puts a beating on him.
My wife says i have a man-crush on the Rock.
The man had me obsessed in his 97-2000 heydey, and i've just admired him since. From the physique to his next movie. I'm a Rock homo.
Good card, we only saw a few rounds different and there were a few that were razor thin no doubt. Just finished watching watching Duran Leonard II.
Duran - Leonard
1. 9 - 10
2. 9 - 10
3. 10 - 9
4. 9 - 10
5. 10 - 9
6. 9 - 10
7. 9 - 10
------------------
65 - 68
What a weird quit job, and people shit on Ortiz.
WOW!!!
I'll never watch the second fight again. It's been years since i last saw it. Seeing my favourite boxer, one of the most tenacious, most frightening men to have stepped into a ring just quit like that as he wasn't getting his way with Sugar, does not make for pleasurable viewing.
Froch/Kessler will be a far better fight, and i personally am looking forward to it more as Froch is my favourite fighter, but Mayweather/Mosley means much more to boxing, even if it should have taken place years earlier.
Mayweather/Mosley will hopefully lead to the biggest fight in boxing for some 20+ years in Mayweather/Pacquiao.
I don't know much on Roberto Garcia, but some in my boxing circle of friends have told me how dangerous of an opponent he is for Margarito's comeback. They still expect Tony to come out with a win though, just not as easy as many are expecting.
For us boxing fans, that is only a good thing. I've expressed my thoughts on the whole Margarito scandal many times, so i will not go on about it now, but i for one am looking forward for his comeback, and a tough oppponent shall make it better.
I don't see no reason as to why Berto should be hated. Some may not like his style, but he is a good fighter.
Like some have stated, the blame perhaps should be pointed at HBO, for hyping him too early. He evidently had a tough time against Collazo, and a rematch should have been made.
When he fights the likes of a Clottey, Cotto, Mosley....then we can see just how he measures at 147. I'm hoping his team can land Mosley (if he loses to Floyd) or Margarito/Clottey this year.

Duran Decision 143-142
Some rounds were hard to score, and it could have gone either way depending what style you favoured. Duran's aggression made it look like he did much more, but Leonard had better accuracy. Very close fight, but i had Duran edge it.
I have to say Froch has the most delusional fans. Even more deluded than that one Audley Harrisson fan.
Not as bad as that Amir Khan nuthugging fool though.
After the first 4 rounds, i had it 2 rounds a piece. The middle rounds are where Kessler had a strong case for a lead on the scorecards, but the last 2 rounds were Froch's imo.
Depending on some very close rounds, i've scored it 7-5 to Kessler and a draw on a second viewing.
There was no robbery, people need to look that word up, but some i could smell some homecooking. In a neutral venue, fight could have gone either way. In England, the fight was Froch's.
That nuthugging fool atleast accepts a defeat. Froch now has 2 losses on his resume. Live with that.
1 debatable loss on his resume.
1 debatable win on his resume.
Last 4 opponents: Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler (The cream of the division)
No shame in having lossed to any of those fighters, even though that Kessler loss would have been reversed anywhere else in the world.
"This is giving a boxer extra power (talking about hill sprints)... so if I catch, say... Joe Calzaghe on the chin I'm not going to let him of the hook. I'll give him 30 seconds of hell"
"If you watch my fights. You'll know I just don't get hit"
"You have to chase after your bike... it's happened twice to me now"
"It's not like Bosnia" (talking about Nottingham)
When was this said?
There's no reason why Sky can't show boxing every week, or even 2 weeks.
We have to pay for Froch/Kessler, but there's still Arreola/Adamek, week after that is Mayweather/Mosley with Montiel/Hasegawa on the night before, then we will have Cintron/Williams on the 8th, Khan/Malignaggi follows the week after that with Mitchell/Katsidis on the same night, then on the 22nd is Marquez/Vazquez 4.
I don't know the full Sky listings, but the following 4 to 5 weeks are a boxing fans dream. We shouldn't have to miss these.
I get the magazine although it's about 2 weeks behind the US monthly release. My local newagent supplies me with all my boxing mags. Just ask yours, and see what he can do.
You really had it 8 rounds to 4, in Froch's favour?
When i was watching this fight live, i was in too much of an emotional state to think about scoring, i never score fights involving my favourite fighters the first time round, as i'm sucked into the action too much to care.
As the fight came to an end, i said to my cousin, Kessie's got this....i can smell the hometown cooking. On that first viewing, i thought Froch did well, but fighting away from home on Sauerland soil, i knew he wasn't gonna get the decision. Froch knew, as the scores were read out, he wasn't getting the decision.
I decided to score the fight on a second viewing, i gave the verdict 7 rounds to 5 in favour of Kessler.....a lot of that was crowd influenced.
Third viewing, i muted the TV set, 6-6 draw.
All in all, it was a close fight that, if in England or neutral venue, Froch would have gotten the nod.
On Danish soil, it was always going to be Kessler when going to the cards.
Not sure if you've noticed, but there's kind of a little tournament going on to determine exactly this....barring Bute, who if undefeated during this time, will eventually face the winner.
Don't sleep on Bantamweight (118) fellas.
