Bradley didnt look super against abregu either. Some guys u just dont look good against. Sugar ray leonard fought mickey wards uncle back n the day & didnt look good at all but went on 2 have a hof career. Kotelnick was better than advertised. Sometime a good fighter gets lost n all the hype. Khan didnt dominate kotelnick either. The guy is good fighter very underrated because of who he was fighting.
Glen has been on the losing end of a lot of close fights so this is nothing new . More sour grapes than anything else. He is the new gate keeper at 175. Good enough 2 give the top fighters a run 4 the money but not good enough 2 beat them at this stage of his career especially at 40 years old u would think tavoris should have won more easily.
He will be to strong 4 jmm at that weight. Its easy to say jmm is better to justify his reason 4 not fighting devon so u say some smaller fighter is better. Jmm barely made the lightweight limit 4 this last fight hes really 130 pounds. Khan would kill jmm at this stage but yet it would still b the best fighter hes fought albeit a smaller one.
I agree the only big name so to speak hes beaten was pauli malignaggi. All those 140 pounders have 2 fight each other to prove who is the best. How about a super six at 140 pounds? Its working at 168 & it seems to be the only way to get these guys 2 fight each other. Hope they do it now before they move up n weight or someone is upset by a lesser fighter.
I guess i dont have anything 2 do which is the reason why im responding 2 this. Hagler was at 160 kirkland is at 154. He hasnt even one a title n his division yet while hagler is a hofamer. Anybody whos watched boxing over the last three decades knows hagler would destroy kirkland inside 5 rounds. Kirkland may lose 2 one of the other contenders before he gets 2 the title.
Thats the only way 4 this 2 be a good fight someone has 2 be the agressor. If i had 2 choose from the 2 i would pick pascal 2 b the agressor n this fight. Chad is a counterpuncher by nature albeit a good one. His trainer eddie mustapha was also a counterpuncher when he fought so thats the way the fight will go. A loss means so much not then it did back n the day so guys r reluctant 2 take chances 4 fear of losing & never being in the mix 4 another shot.
Interesting fight to call. On paper cotto has the better resume but has seen better days. Margarito took a lot out of him. On the other hand chavez jr showed he had a lot of heart and could go the distance in a tough fight were he was tested against duddy. But actually duddy was the perfect style 4 chavez 2 look good against. Cotto is a boxer puncher & will not get hit as much as duddy did and is the more experienced fighter. Would like 2 c it if it happens
I agree that this will be clouds toughest fight but glenn looked a little shop worn in his last fight with dawson. This though is a better fight style wise 4 johnson. Cloud is not really a mover so glenn wont have 2 chase him like dawson. I still think youth will serve in this fight though. & if glenn does win would u want 2 c him fight dawson again? Style wise i think not. The second fight with him n dawson was boring. & the same thing would happen with pascal also. They matchup better with cloud than do with johnson

Really this whole thing is about a guy coming from 108 pounds 2 147 pounds & carrying power all the way up 2 that weight. Do you think manny is that special kind of fighter that comes around every 20yrs or is he cheating. That is what may sr. & that camp thinks. That hasnt been a fighter n the history of boxing who has moved up that many weight classes & still carry the power pac has. Hes not just beating natural welters hes destroying them. The may. Camp is worried about this guy believe it or not.
Khan management was responsible 4 that happening 2 him. Prescott wasnt the original opponent 4 khan when they fought. The original opponent pulled out so they took prescott who was a more dangerous opponent physically 4 khan. I dont think they even watched tape of prescott.
The buck stops here with pac beating bigger guys. Pac wears down fighters hes not a one punch knockout artist. His punching power has always been a little overrated. Definitely a good fight 2 make since him & floyd wont fight and more entertaining. Margarito applys constant pressure & throws a lot more punches than clottey but defense has never been his staple although n his last fight his new training garcia had him moving a lot more. I think margarito is just 2 big & strong 4 pac & somewhere n that fight pac will want 2 trade. If u noticed n the clottet fight eveb though clottey was in a shell when he did throw punches he found pac its not hard 2 find pac & his face was busted up from those clottey uppercuts which is one of margs best punches.
