Okay so we got some good matches that are relevant to stay in contention
for this particular WBO Jr. Middleweight title. First, we got Brian Rose vs. Javier Francisco Maciel this is a WBO Jr. Middleweight title eliminator. Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport announced that this fight would take place on the undercard of Fight Night Kell Brook-Vyacheslav Senchenko. Maciel lost to then WBO Middleweight Champion Dmitry Pirog back in March of 2011. Now also, in addition to that bout there has been talks about setting up a rematch between Cornelius Bundrage and former WBO Jr. Middleweight titlist Zaurbek Baysangurov although no date has been set yet, there is something in the works for later this year. Zaurbek Baysangurov's promoted by K2 and he did lose to Cornelius Bundrage back in 2008. Finally, we got Vanes Martirosyan taking on Demetrius Andrade for the vacant WBO Jr. Middleweight title on HBO. How do you see these fights going? Give your predictions and thoughts on who you think will be the future WBO Jr. Middleweight Champion by next year in 2014?
October 26, 2013 - Fight Night Undercard of Brook-Senchenko
Brian Rose vs. Javier Francisco Maciel WBO Jr. Middleweight Title Eliminator
November 9, 2013 - HBO Triple Main Event
Vanes Martirosyan vs. Demetrius Andrade vacant WBO Jr. Middleweight Title
Zaurbek Baysangurov vs. Cornelius Bundrage II Rematch ?????
I got vanes in the fight with andrade in a tough fight. i think if he gets his career rolling he will hold on to that title, and hopefully he can get out of his contract, go to golden boy and get some great fights with guys like canelo, angulo, molina, etc.
Didn't Curtis Stevens move from light heavyweight to middleweight and have more success? Regardless it ain't helping him November 2nd lol
Oh yea, mundine moved down in weight and.. I'm sorry I can't be serious with that LOL
Good picks I'd rather have Mikey vs. Gamboa tho.
Maybe Bradley vs. Cotto  that'd be epic even tho cotto doesnt want to fight at 147 no more.
also of course we can't forget a GGG fantasy matchup like GGG-Martinez or GGG-Ward
I like those fights too, my thinking was just that I'd rather there be fights that would be a little tougher to promote outside of a ppv,or else I woulda included GGG and cotto for sure
This may be the one fight that everyone on boxingscene is in 100% agreement that Vera should have gotten the victory.
nah the one fight people were all in agreement about was burns-beltran being a robbery. even burns own promoter knew he lost the fight. but youre right, most people saw this for vera.
Kenny is a great ref...good choice
they should have Smoger ref the Lucas-Garcia massacre
Yea I wish smoger could ref either of the two co-main events, but he can't cuz he doesn't live in Nevada and doesn't ref fights there
Lomachenko is impressive, great hand speed, and the dude has very crafty footwork. If a fight with nonito falls through for evgeny , wonder if they think about making lomachenko-gradovich
i feel really bad for all the australian people. seeing how this guy has acted in the past with the geale rematch and now, he seems like both a scumbag and delusional. didnt think wed see him in any meaningful fights after geale won fairly easily the second time
broner is way overrated but this is not where he gets exposed Maidana is to slow to trouble him
i think if maidana can use some feints and make it a dogfight, we could see him detonate a right hand. broner isnt floyd, he's much more flat footed and has much worse output, plus he cant bully his opponents in the ring anymore cuz hes more near his natural weight, that is, without the new beer belly lol
but i seriously think if maidana doesnt try to box to much and hits broner between counters, he can win
Easy work for mikey.
I agree, rocky will probably will his way through 12 rounds but I think it's a pretty one sided rout. Thought Burgos beat Martinez too
Ortiz tweeted he's returning on this date too.
LOL. Put him with robert guerrero. Fun fight that id see guerrero winning on pure will (and lack thereof from ortiz)
