Lets put this out there right now. Cotto is no plodder, he is a pure boxer with legit Welter Power. Manny's only shot is a lucky punch and running...pernell whitaker, Hector Camacho, or Malignaggi style. Even then he screwed if he tries to spin Cotto left or right like he did DLH. he has to RUN. Why do you think Cotto's record is what it is? His best 3 punches nullify speed. Right Jab, right overhand, and left body hook. Add to that his power...this cat is the real deal. The only other option for Manny is going straight back and its most definitely a short night if he does that. That darting in and out sh!t Roach said he is going to emploee? I wish he does do that. randall bailey tried that and that was Cotto's single best performance as a pro. The blue print to giving Cotto trouble is walking right into his chest all night. It was close but Cotto got the 1st rd knockdown. Clottey got the 3rd rd headbutt that really affected Cotto's vision and Clottey still couldn't put Cotto down. Thus the decision was right. Cotto with one eye won the last and final round.
And how the hell would Marquez know how to KO Pacquiao? Marquez was the one who hit the canvas 4 times (almost 6), so WTF does he know.

You know what when Margarito beat Cotto he looked confident in the ring and was able to withstand massive punishment because he knew he was going to wear Cotto down with the plaster IMO. When he got busted with Mosley he lost all confidence and got KTFO. Didnt even look like the same fighter. That was his edge. He knew.

Cotto's allegation of Margarito's credibility is nonsense. Even if it is true about the alleged illegal handwrap, the same was not happened in the fight wherein he got battered by Margarito. It was during Margarito-Mosley fight. The point is, he got whipped by Margarito so badly in their fight. He has to redeem it by a rematch and whipp margarito at the same time, if he can do that. Clearly, Cotto is afraid of Margarito because he believe he has no match to him as what we have seen in the first fight. That's why he said he has no interest in the rematch. The truth is, he is afraid of a possible battering again by Margarito. His allegation of credibility is just therefore an excuse.
i doubt that, Cotto wanted a rematch after he lost and they were scheduled to fight it wasn't untill after he found out that Marg was packing plaster that his tune changed.
I think Margo should get back in line and earn another big fight, Lets see if he still has that punching power now that everyone will be looking at his wraps pre-fight, I think Cotto-Margo 2 will happen but Margarito should not get it immediately.
I predict that Cotto will win, and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins by KO. Pacquiao has yet to fight a true welter weight at welter weight, let alone an elite welter weight. I think in the end, Cotto's power will be too much for Pacquiao. De Lahoya was probably the biggest puncher Pacquiao has ever faced, but at that age De Lahoya was much to slow for his size and strength advantages to even be a factor. Cotto hits much harder and is a lot faster than De Lahoya did at the time of that fight. Over time Cotto has also turned into a great all around boxer, as apposed to just the good pressure fighter that he once was. Anything can happen on fight night though, so I guess we'll have to wait and see
I boxed for a few years and I have to tell you there is no way that Margarito didnt know what was goin on with his hand wraps, come on it is taking place less than two feet away from your face and if anything is different with your wraps you would know instantly. He knew, thats a fact
