Lorily, you are wasting your time with Paulf, he is too nieve to believe that there is no possible way with all the "security guards and video systems" that she could have had help. no possible way that she could have let someone in.....should there not be a video of arturo somewhere entering this so called "Posh - resort"? with amanda and Jr.? not sure as to why Paulf has an axe to grind with arturo, but i'll tell you what, he rarely responds to my post....becasue perhaps they make sense?
Paulf, you stated.."They were staying at a resort with security guards and cameras, you cant just walk in with no one noticing or being seen on camera. And both room keys were in the room the whole night. So what happened? Did his killers teleport in like on Star Trek?"
you, my friend, are one seriously nieve dude. umm ever wonder what amanda and him argued about that night? nobody seems to know and she has always avoided that question everytime she was interviewed. Once again, the chief investigating officer that you quoted in regards to the security guards and camera comments was not the original officer on the scene. know what happened to him? i don't...lots of investigative reporters don't know either...he's been sought after to get some questions answered but
paulo albares keeps him in the hiding..for some unknown reason. anyways ..sounds like you have an axe to grind with arturo...stay tuned for aug 30 press conference
yeah but the strap was old a s hell.........that shit wasn't acurtae........i think it was a case of americans having to know more than everyone as usual more than anyone type of thing.........the final findings was pretty accurate imo!
first of all..i am dumb..what does IMO stand for?
second thing in regards to the strap, check out my comment to the comedian....
"so why didn't a "compentent" brazilian police investigative team, go figure out what purse the strap came from, purchse a new one and try the test with a new "unstretched" strap?"
i feel that americans are more thorough when they want to get to the bottom of things more than the brazilian government..it's just too bad he was NOT an american citizen
Did you even watch the special on HBO, it was 75 pound weight and the strap was already broken when they did the test so it didn't add to the investigation.
good point! so why didn't a "compentent" brazilian police investigative team, go figure out what purse the strap came from, purchse a new one and try the test with a new "unstretched" strap?
Damn. GIVE UP.
Dude killed himself. They were at a luxury resort. You cant just walk into a place like that and start killing people without being caught on camera or seen by security, and as all the investigations have noted, it would have been physically impossible for her to hang him up herself.
So what happened? Did ninjas appear out of thin air and kill Arturo?
His family needs to come to terms with reality and stop slandering this woman. Dude was a great champion, but he was also a wife-beater and addicted to blow. People that like blow knock themselves off all the time. Look it up.
paulf, the whole camera thing you just bought up...interesting...are you aware that the first time paulo albares (chief investigating officer) mentions cameras is on the HBO documentary? NO WHERE else has he ever mentioned that. did the cameras get installed after his death? sOOOOO what happened to the video tape???...if there is nothing to hide why didn't the brazilian authorites use the video tapes to show that nothing was wrong??? that's what the media did with the dude that killed the peruvian girl / Halloway..(cant rememeber his name). if there were some sort of video tape that would have had any sort of recording of Amanda, Arturo and JR. it would have been aired...don't you think?
by the way...i think we ALL know know by now... that she didn't physically hang him...but having someone do it for her? NOW, that's what i'm talking about!
Paulf, Are you standing up for amanda because, you are ...ummm..having sex with her??? or would like to? or part of the Amanda sympathy CLub?
Or are you simply part of the anti-gatti revolution?
This is really old news. Check the Real Time Sports special on Gatti's death. The hired guy has a lot of questions, which is what he's paid for, but not even he can come up with any other possible solution to what happened.
Gatti's wife couldn't have hung him up, as he weighed far too much, and no one could have entered the room at their 5-star resort without being noticed by security and caught on camera. The only two room keys were both in the room at the time of Arturo's death. You dont just appear inside someones room and kill them, then disappear without a trace. Dude offed himself.
are you that nieve that you can't fathom the idea of somebody entering the room because she had all of this staged? cameras??? why is the hbo documentary the first time Paulo albares mentions cameras?? WTF? did they just get installed? why so damn late in the game does he mention this? you, like equaliser, have an axe to grind with Arturo Gatti!
I agree Paulf - it's all about getting this money now. . . I forgot all about that real sports segment - Im going to try to find that episode to rewatch it. I forgot about a bunch of the stuff that was initially released.
The only red flag for me is the insurance switcharoo, but that would seem almost TOO obvious to do if the wife planned on murdering him immediately thereafter. . .
i don't really blame his family for trying their best to get the money - even if she didn't murder him - she doens't deserve all his money.
to: Paulf and UglyPug....have you had a chance to see the press conference? one thing, is if the only ones on the board were the main investigators (hired by Pat Lynch), but this was not the case. there was a panel of professionals and experts that were not paid to give thier proffesional input. They are non-biased, non-boxing interested professionals that clearly announced that they usually give people news they don't want to hear....not in this case. they announced to the press, with utmost proffesional conviction, that Arturo's death was a homicide..... uglypug just as a refresher when you do watch the bryant gumble episode...you will hear paulo albares state that there was no way anybody else could have entered the room...becasue there were security cameras and guards....should the public be nieve and stupid to believe that statement? even with all that in place, can't amanda let somebody into the room to stage his suicide? why are ya'll so closeminded to leave that notion out???....you're also probably not aware that there is no security system in place....and the only guard is the one you always see at the guard shack for parking.
Here's a video that anyone looking for stories about Arturo behind the scenes will enjoy.
Hello Mr. Ryan, the 3 videos you posted were awesome to say the least! we breifly met in Jersey. i am waiting for the non-believers to post some hate comments on this thread. there are a couple of haters on this website that speak without doing thier research. good meeting you
ray and anybody else concerned, as some of you might know, arturo was inducted in the hall of fame this past weekend. a new york post reporter, posted an "exclusive" article regarding arturo Jr. apparently he was brought there by amanda's friend victoria. amanda told the post that the reason she could not attend was becasue of her immigration status in canada. "really" with all the money she has and all her lawyer connections she could not get a tempoary advance parole to come to the event? also why was no one from the IBHOF approached when they were mentioning arturo? her friend victoria could have, should have announced juniors presence to someobody. pat lynch would have introduced arturo's daughter to her half brother..in front of everybody..that would have been awesome...but nooooo they kept him in hiding for whatever reason....if amanda really wanted to be there, lets face it ..she could have...that is if she had truly nothing to hide....arturo gatti was murdered and she has something to do with it...do not even think about flinching if you think it is anything else but murder.
Here's an excerpt from an article I ran into today. For anyone who's not familiar with the lawlessness in Brazil, it's a chilling warning that the police in that country are, let's just say, not to be trusted. (Anyone wishing to read the entire article can hit this link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/16/patricia-acioli-brazil-assassination_n_967021.html?icid=maing-grid10%7Chtmlws-main-bb%7Cdl6%7Csec1_lnk3%7C96422)
RIO DE JANEIRO -- Judge Patricia Acioli was known for wielding a "heavy hammer," especially against rogue police who have formed illegal vigilante gangs. She had put more than 60 officers behind bars, most of them for murder.
The Rio de Janeiro state judge paid for that fearlessness: Acioli was shot to death in front of her house last month. And all of the 21 bullets that hit her came from a lot issued to police, including some in Sao Goncalo, the city where she worked.
While violence and impunity are common in Brazil, the brazen murder of Acioli was an especially heavy blow, a message of intimidation from the vigilante militias.
The slaying was "a wound to the lawful state, to democracy; the figure of the judge is a symbol of justice," said Denise Frossard, a retired judge who presided over some of Rio's first cases against the militias in the 1990s. "If she is a judge and can be killed, how can a citizen feel secure enough to be a witness?"
Indeed, who can believe the Brazilian police when they say Arturo Gatti committed suicide -- especially when their findings have been contradicted by experts in the United States?
Noted forensic pathologist Cyril Wecht has termed the version produced by the initial criminal investigation "pure, unadulterated fiction." Says Wecht, "This case must be reopened if authorities in Brazil have an iota of moral, ethical and legal concern for their reputation."
hey fellow cuban..... that's a pretty good find...wonder if they can use this story in one of her many court cases to make a point?
That would have never worked. Gatti committed domestic abuse. That would have invalidated the pre-nup.
She would have gotten money no matter what.
Even Saul Goodman would have gotten her paid.
come on does anybody believe this was always a one sided domestic abuse situation? does anybody believe that she was capable of hitting him? in case you don't know, she has ...on multiple occassions hit him...and hit him hard
What Floyd did was allowable, of course it was a "legal" hit but there are unwritten rules in all sports and when fighters are touching gloves you should not be throwing punches. But it was classless and unsportsmanlike for him to do so.
Also what was Cortez doing. He had no clue what to do in that situation and I think Ortiz was confused because of it.
Geez! HE HAD TO CHEAP SHOT ORTIZ TO WIN!!!!......IT WAS CLEAR THINGS WERE CHANGING IN THE 4th!!!!! Ortiz was pressing Floyd landing some good bombs. Who knows what would have happened if it reached 12 rounds..
"Mayweather really showed a lot of talent by hitting a man WHO WASN'T LOOKING AT HIM. Regardless of how dirty the head-butt was, why would you want to win by punching a defenselss man? It's just pathetic that he thinks it's ok."
I've been too emotional to put it in such good, short and perfectly observed! Those that can't see that, are just as guilty as "cheap shot" Floyd. Taking s cheap shot is one of the worst things in boxing. Period!!
Cheap shot ain't right. If you are the best win it the right way and you get all the glory. Wtf, he even had a go with Larry Merchant.. This ain't wrestling Floyd.. We wanted to get are moneys worth. Would have been an action packed fight. I wanted you to win the right way. Am I asking too much?? Ain't classy indeed.
I got robbed again. Damn! Ain't worth the dollars a paid for!
he did a similiar thing to Arturo Gatti....anyone remember?
Yeah. Given the circumstances of his demise I think she should be proven innocent. Lacking the evidence to be indicted seems tasteless. If I were accused of a crime I would work tirelessl to prove my innocence. I would not stop at merely being released from custody.
you would work tiredlessly to prove your innocence?? would you call the family that you affected and try to convince them first..if deep down in your heart you know you were innocent..depite the rash feedback you know you will be getting from the family? well amanda never did that.
Uhhh, this just doesn't jive, and didn't Amanda try to claim someone broke in their electronically sealed abode and killed Arturo in the initial reports?
He's not on the bed, but on the floor now?
A steak knife is found next to him with blood on it, and I'm supposed to imagine how he tried to cut himself down staving off a circus like act of a suicide attempt and stabs himself in the BACK of the head.
A severing motion and a stabbbing motion are two distinct things. I bet the next thing we read is that Amanda explained to police how she cut him down, (without disturbing the purse strap with cuts mind you) and that's why a knife was near his body.
It's ridiculous. You have to believe he got up there with a knife in hand "just in case" AFTER he kicks the stool out from under him. A magic stool and a staircase by the way we are reading about for the first time. It's conveniently appeared to explain away homicide.
I think we know what Amanda was doing for 10 hours. Trying to figure out how to get her lies straight.
hagler...i know this is an old post but did you or anybody else happen to see the intial pictures of arturo lying on a bed?
Leave the poor guy alone seriously, his death really made me sad, and then all this crap. It makes me sick to read all these theories and opinions of the guy.
Ill try to always keep the image of a ring hero in my mind.
Fighters like that are rare in these age of "reason"
i understand the way you feel, truly, and i would be sitting on the sidelines quietly reading the "arturo would never kill himself becasue he gave it all he got in the ring" post by fans with thier humble opinions, but when there are individuals that are extremely articulate in thier research, and post thier opinions with convincing grammar, indicating that he flat out committed suicide,...that, is when i can't sit along the sidelines and come out in full force to defend the notion that his death was staged by amanda.
So how the **** did he get into bed?
These guys are bad liars.
catalinul, i know this is an old post, but why did you ask that?...about him being in a bed??
Then she's playing a very clever game with everyone.
Ha!
i think this is the only thing i can agree with you on!
i knew there was something that we were going to to see eye to eye on.
everything else my friend, is still debateable
i know this is an old post i am responding to, but i just did a search on amanda and all these posts came up, i am a dollar short, a day late
it almost seems impossible to believe gatti killed himself..
nothing is impossible, however Arturo's death has too many unanswered questions to simply let it lie at suicide.
i would be happy to get out of jail too! whats your point?
If my spouse killed themselves and i was blamed for it i would be an emotional wreck.
not only did my loved one die. they killed themselves.
and on top of that they blamed me.
Dementia is a VERY dangerous thing. Chris Benoit got his rage from nowhere and decided to kill his entire family including himself. Where did that kind of rage come from? do you think his kid did something to deserve it?
no the guy had problems from repeated concussions just like Arturo.
I love Arturo Gatti and miss his presence but i think was his own doing.
Alcohol + Depression + Dementia= a very dangerous mix
my point is that there was a whole bunch of other things she did "set up" if we may call it that, at this point, that gives this case still a resonable doubt, that it was not suicide. ok the getting out of jail happy face is just a tidbit of what people latched on to go against her.....but, listen my friend, there are way too many things that she did that put her on the suspicious block....so i am still waiting for the final conclusion to all the bullshit that is going on..but one thing is for sure..i am not jumping to concluisions and calling it suicide, like several posters on this forum are doing.
I say suicide due to dementia brought on by head trauma. Concussive brain damage does alot to your mind and can make you go to the dark depths of your mind.
Just like chris benoit and others.
Sad sad story but i dont think the wifes to blame
what about all the other actions that his wife did, weeks leading up to his death....and of course you can't forget the things she did after his death....her happiness getting out of jail..her interviews, her dodging the big question...what was the fight about that they had that caused his rage?
Exactly. FINALLY, a voice of reason.
All of these people want to blame the wife. Arturo Gatti had two autopsies. in two different countries/municipalities. One of them was in his home city, ordered by the family, with a hand-picked pathologist. And even then they still ruled it a suicide.
What more do you people want? You want her head on a stick just because she's sexy?
Arturo Gatti was beating on the woman, ferchrissakes. it's not as if his behaviour was above reproach. God bless the dead.
you stated that the autopsy by the family in Canada was still rulled a suicide? where do you have proof of that? got a link to the news article? if you're going to send me the link regarding the so called "leak" please, don't waste your time...if you get a chance, post a good credible source that states that Michal Baden and the candian coroners office ruled out everything else but suicide
Bump. Starting now.
i would like to know what intiated the fight between him and her?
did anybody notice the distance from the staircase to the ground in relation to where paulo alberes (chief investigator)was standing?
when paulo was asked the possibility of someone else possibly being involved, he just simply said no it wasn't???? that's it..no further explanation???
Yes, He could have tiptoe and help would been fine. What catches my attention was where is the knife? They claimed to have found that next to the body.......but where is it?
Also how is it impossible for her to have let men in while he was drugged up? He clearly states it's a 100% Impossible........either that guy is really ignorant and retarded or he's just trying to prove his case...
you pointed out some very interesting items worthy of attention in this post the your previous. I am not convinced, at all, with Paulo alberes's conclusion, explanation, decisicion......or whatever else he has to say....there are too many holes
I believe the two medical examiners:
Gatti committed suicide.
Al, 2 medical examiners???
again i ask for the upteenth time, where is the second conclusion to suicide?????? do you know something we stupid gatti fans don't?
want to go tit for tat, here and now?...or do you want the readers of this forum to do thier research and have them check out my posts, your posts, and Mr. Equaliser's post regarding my assumption and yours...on Gatti, of course?
Al, are you aware that there is an initial brazilian article that states that he was found on a bed then the pictures were circulated on the net which showed him sprawled on the floor underneath the stairs...my firend ,,,there is still more to come...stop being so narrowminded
The second autopsy is not complete...do you follow the news..or do you just write what you feel?
Airplane...you really, really need to research this a LOT more...
EQ, come on man, lead me in the right direction...where should i continue to research, so i can come up with your same ideaology? i really really, want to know why is it that you are fixated on arturo commiting suicide???
why is it so hard for you to believe that amanda might have staged the entire plot to paint suicide? after all, it is Amanda that made the intial comment....."we were trying to work things out by coming here for a second honeymoon". my opinion, is that is a physicological statement she made to further sway the general public viewpoint as to why they were there. Apparently, Arturo was extemely close to his sister, why wouldn't Amanda excuse him from attending his own sister's wedding? heck i am sure she was invited also...what could have prevented her from taking a day or two from their holiday in brazil to attend her sister-in-law's wedding???? visa issues??? doubt it...cause she did her recent stint in Canada, then went down to the states...ironically to meet up with Joe Gatti
