Actually, I've been very close to the investigation in recent weeks and what the independent investigation concluded was that there was no possible way that suicide could have been the cause of death.
Yeah, I've read about that and looking forward to hearing what the findings are.
I'll believe he was murdered based on the evidence of the case, not playing armchair psychologist by looking at his fights and saying "oh he couldn't kill himself because he had so much heart in the ring".
Things are more complicated than just that.
Lorily, you are wasting your time with Paulf, he is too nieve to believe that there is no possible way with all the "security guards and video systems" that she could have had help. no possible way that she could have let someone in.....should there not be a video of arturo somewhere entering this so called "Posh - resort"? with amanda and Jr.? not sure as to why Paulf has an axe to grind with arturo, but i'll tell you what, he rarely responds to my post....becasue perhaps they make sense?
They showed photos of his body taken during the daytime with the lights on. When she came downstairs it was night time/early morning (dark). Do you turn on every light when you run downstairs for a drink?
Sorry, didn't see this before.
The answer is yes. If I'm making a bottle for a baby in the middle of the night, and have to go down a flight of stairs, and walk around the kitchen table without running in to it, I would definately turn on the light. Even if she wouldn't have turned on a light (which is highly unlikely tbh), she would have tripped over Arturro on her way to the kitchen. It was a very very small room. Gatti's wife would have had to have enough light to go down those stairs, step over Arturro without tripping over him and get out and heat up a bottle for the baby. No way she could have gotten back up the stairs without a light to guide her way. If you look at the pictures of the room, you will see what I mean.
So what did it conclude then?
That's the conclusion, but I'll be at the Gatti press conference on the 30th to cover the detailed findings of the investigation.
The independent investigation by Gatti's family said it was "inconclusive" so I will just go with that and say "I don't know".
Some people just wouldn't want to think that Gatti would commit suicide, but we don't really know much about his mental state and if he was depressed. The NFL has had those recent cases of suicides of former players who had concussions/brain trauma. Plus Gatti had alcohol problems. Depression + alcohol abuse is a terrible mix.
There was just things that were so shady about the situation. Didn't Gatti re-do the prenuptial agreement and Gatti's wife was supposed to get a lot of money if Gatti died from a life insurance policy? Plus, I remember hearing reports that said the purse strap was unlikely to hold someone of Gatti's weight.
Maybe it wasn't her that did the actual hands-on murder, but an accomplice of her?

Paulf, you stated.."They were staying at a resort with security guards and cameras, you cant just walk in with no one noticing or being seen on camera. And both room keys were in the room the whole night. So what happened? Did his killers teleport in like on Star Trek?"
you, my friend, are one seriously nieve dude. umm ever wonder what amanda and him argued about that night? nobody seems to know and she has always avoided that question everytime she was interviewed. Once again, the chief investigating officer that you quoted in regards to the security guards and camera comments was not the original officer on the scene. know what happened to him? i don't...lots of investigative reporters don't know either...he's been sought after to get some questions answered but
paulo albares keeps him in the hiding..for some unknown reason. anyways ..sounds like you have an axe to grind with arturo...stay tuned for aug 30 press conference
I read an article on Brazil
turns out only 8% of murders get solved in the country
you can kill and easily get away with it
something to think about!!!!!!!
nah, im not buying it. someone should speak to Gatti's family, there thoughts on the situation. i wonder if his parents still get to his grandson or is that stripper being a cunt about it
some good responses, a 50-50 agrument which was unexpected
I think of the Gatti case and i think of Chris Beniot, the WWF wrestler. All those hits to the head haywired his brain. I think perhaps Gatti experienced something similar
i know one thing though
he didnt kill himself. Gatti was a fighter, and like that boxer said on Ellie sechbacks video, why would he give up on the biggest fight of all
so who knows
Who knows what was going on in his personal life and in his head?
Other boxers and athletes have killed themselves, or attempted suicide.
Life is different than athletic competition.

I can't claim to know Gatti, but life is far harder than stepping in a ring and boxing, especially for a boxer who knows nothing else but can't do it anymore.

The reason why that is suspicious to me is because they showed pictures of the kitchen where they were staying in the hotel. The area where his body was laying and where the stairs were located, she would have litterally had to have stepped OVER him to get around the kitchen table. The photos that showed Arturo laying there showed the VERY large puddle of blood around his head. THERE IS NO WAY SHE SAW HIM, STEPPED OVER HIM and went back upstairs - without seeing all that blood. It's just impossible. And there would have had to be enough light on for her to see he was there and to know where to step over him, so she couldn't have NOT seen the blood.

The purse strap couldn't support his weight. A mock test of hanging with that much weight using one snapped.
The test was part of the initial investigation, but it was deemed irrelevant when it was discovered that the test was done with the actual purse strap, which had already snapped.
it was a ****ty 3rd world country where the police and security are corrupt as hell, and considering gatti had millions of US dollars (that his wife was going to receive when he died), how hard is it to believe that she broke them off a piece?
i guess valero hung himself too...
Hundreds of thousands of tourists much much richer than Arturo Gatti go to Brasil every year, but they don't get stoned by crowds and hung up by purse straps in Hotel rooms. So what did Gatti's wife do, call the local police commissioner of this city and ask the police force to help her kill a world famous boxer by hanging him up with a purse strap? And if they do, she'll give him some of the money in his will that she won't get for another year or so?
Very likely.

He was asphyxiated when he was unable to defend himself, and then it was made to look like suicide. Motive => Money.
Keycard to get in their Hotel is not a deterrent. Easy to get around if she helped someone.
Not hard.
