I used to listen to Pantera a lot when I was younger but I was not aware that Phil actually wrote columns and all. I suppose he just gives his insight as a fan and the fact that he is known gives him the opportunity to have his articles published.
Back when Pantera were at their peak, the rumor going round was that Phil had one of the most extensive boxing libraries in the world on video. And he was considered enough of an expert that there was a time where it looked like he might get into announcing. Then the drugs crept in and he had that well-publicized overdose and I think the major networks decided to just stay away. His stuff for Boxing Insider though is a great read and yeah, he is definitely a big fan above all else.
And the September 11th thing did affect Naz's career dramatically.
I may be daft, but what exactly was "the September 11th thing" and its relation to Naz? Was it because he used to praise Allah? If that's it, it would seem pretty insane of a reeason to derail a career so dramatically.
Not televised
I checked MSG - they aren't showing it until tomorrow night. So I guess unless you're in NYC you're ourt of luck? I don't get it. Most of his recent fights have been PPV and this one gets blocked out? Seems to me like someone is dropping the ball.
