Oh I've seen him fight my friend, and that mother fucker can't fight for shit. He should be embarrassed to call himself a boxer. I bet he's never seen video tape of himself cuz if he has, he would quit and go into exhile out of pure shame.
So you would step into the ring and easily beat him then?
Id like to think that if Joe wins and gives a good performance then he would fight Pavlik to seal his greatness.
(this is assuming that Pavlik beats hopkins lol)
I think Margarito could push floyd to the absolute limit and come closer than anyone else has to beating him (apart from maybe castillo) but i think floyd would frustrate him too much, margs wouldnt land enough to "destroy him" i think floyd would win by UD.
Many ppl talk about going to the body of Margarito to beat him, however they cant because Margs style just wont let you and If you do try to go for the body he will overwhelm your face with hard shots...
This is true, which is why i beleive Cotto, or anyone for that matter would find it extremely hard to stop Margerito, do you agree then that he would need to win by descision or do you think that Cotto simply cant beat him?
im not sure what tactics he would have to use to win, but in my opinion he should rule a knockout out and go for the points descision, he would have to be EXTREMELY lucky to stop Marg unless it was an absolute peach of a body shot.
Not at all, Cotto will be back. I am genuinely interested in finding out how if at all the Marg fight affected him. Not dissing Cotto at all by this but the only way we will know is by seeing him in another big fight like he had with Marg. He will be back with some tune-ups and then back to fighting big fights again.
IMO.
I agree with you, i think he should have a tune up early 2009 maybe and then possibly fight someone like Cintron and then try the rematch with Margarito possibly?
one thing we have to ask all new members.......Are you a c'monmang' alt? If so get out! if not welcome
no im not an c'monmang' alt lol
and i dont beleive that Hatton is shot, although i think he sacked Billy Graham a few years too late, any world class trainer would have made sure Hatton lived a much healthier lifestyle!
and on Joe C i think he had the potential to be but unfortunatly didnt show it against the likes of Hopkins RJJ (in their primes) etc in the states so he will never get the credit he deserves (in my opinion anyway)
i think a prime Calzaghe Vs prime RJJ would have been epic!
If your screen name is a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, you're off to a good start with me.
It is :headbang:
"BTW i think it would have a one sided beat down and probably a stoppage victory"
i assume you mean for RJJ? i do think that roy would win as his talent is just unbeleivable and in his prime he was the man, but Calzaghe has a good chin and is only slightly less talented and a little bit slower, i think it would be a UD for RJJ, possibly even a SD if Joe C brought his A game, i dont think it would be a beatdown, just my opinion though.
I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Sugar Ray Robinson yet...
id bring him back along with some decent heavyweights!
Lewis
Tyson
Frazier
Ali (obviously)
