I agree, he is much better than the amount of shit he gets on here. At the same time... it also makes him look really stupid that he gave up the IBF belt he took from Lacy to fight such a terrible fighter in Manfredo. I mean, really, that is what prevented the Kessler showdown from being the 2nd time ever that all the belts in a division were up for grabs (Hopkins-ODLH was the 1st time). IMO he's made a lot of bad decisions in his career....

Lol, the more I think about that fight after watching that .GIF, Hopkins claim that he should've won seems more and more feasible. After the fight my initial reaction was that Calzaghe did enough to win it, but if you judge it based on effective punching Hopkins should've taken it. The whole fight was pretty much that .GIF on repeat (except with a connect or two by Joe): Calzaghe slapping away, landing 2 or 3 to Hopkins 1 crisp counter. I don't think Joe landed one solid shot the whole fight. No he didnt. Not at all. Which is why everyone has mixed feelings on it. He just didnt land anything flush. Just played tag. He touched hop more to win the rounds to overall win the fight by a poor sd. Fair? Yes. SAD? more so.
